Good budget option in Mammoth. I rolled in the morning with a situation - car had overheated on the way up and I was hopeful we could get a room early to put our stuff so the car could go to the shop - and Tanya was super helpful and found a solution that worked for us.I've stayed in enough Motel 6 to know, this is pretty much what you would expect in terms of cleanliness, quality, etc. One bonus is that the rooms are warmed by central heating, not by a heater / AC unit in each room which can be very loud as it cycles on and off throughout the night.Quick walk to the Mammoth shuttle.Again, Tanya was a rock star! Thank you!

Motel 6 Mammoth Lakes is the perfect place to stay. Great pricing and dog friendly make it a first choice of places to stay in Mammoth. The customer service is great. I had made an error with a reservation and Tonya helped me to resolve it, easily. She was very patient, kind, and knowledgeable of how to fix the issue quickly. Thanks Tonya! I am a forever customer!

I love using Motel 6 for all my ski travel.Melissa at the front desk has always been extremely helpful, very quick to check us in, and treated my groups and I with kindness and respect on all occasions. Rudolph is great as well.I think their staff sets them apart from the other value motels in the area.Between the kind staff, flexible reservations and the easy of access to bus lines, it makes for a very enjoyable and convenient place to stay and hit the slopes!Nearby activities: Skiing of course!

**** Update 2/29/24, Melissa the manager called and was so polite and apologized. I have always had great service here so I was surprised when I had a bad stay. She made it right with me and I will definitely be staying at Mammoth motel 6 again in the future! I am actually really impressed by this corporation that she would contact me directly and take the time to talk with me. Thank you!! I will be staying again soon as I am there about 3 weeks of the snow season each year.---------------------------------------------------------------------------Room smelled really bad like chemicals, cleaning chemicals, gave me a headache honestly, then the heat went out in the middle of the night, it was freezing, called the office and they sent someone in maintenance to look at it but nobody followed up or offered another room or anything, I would think they would offer me a discount for my next stay or something, at least a "hey we are sorry" but nothing. Not very happy honestly. I stay here often and won't be coming back unless someone contacts me and offers some type of remedy for this situation. Mammoth lakes in the winter is no place for zero heat. Really unacceptable!!

Many places undervalue the importance of having a great front desk, especially to first-timers guests!I checked in at the last-minute and late (it was 8pm-ish) so probably the receptionist checking me in at that hour wasn't really "in the mood" on side information.The next morning upon checking out though, Tania who handled my check-out at Mammoth Lakes was being so helpful and welcoming with loads of information for a first-time visitor/guest. Thanks a lot Tania!The room itself is great for a night or two. Basic and clean. Mattress is a little springy to my liking but to each his own.Definitely recommending this to anyone making a stop at Mammoth Lakes!

First and foremost the entire staff from Rudolf night and day the cleaning staff and the repair staff are impeccable. I have been staying there in all types of weather and this is property that allows skiers to see the mountains and the town and enjoy all mammoth has to offer . I truly enjoy all that the town has and not once has this staff let me down . I can t wait to see them soon and definitely go by to see what a wonderful motel is like. They keep the coffee and water and all the laundry facilities open and you feel like you re at home with this staff . Fred B

I have been staying at this great motel for the past 12 years or so for the winter snowboarding.The rooms are always clean & ample.The staff & cleaning crew are very friendly & attentive to ones needs.The coffee is fantastic as well.Tonia & Gabe who work the front office are very courteous & professional.The local is great as I walk down to the road & catch the bus to Mammoth to board. In addition there are many dining spots a mere 10-20 minute walk away, as are sports stores & bakerys.I highly recommend this motel.Did I mention the price is great too? Well, it is.

I had an exceptional experience at Motel 6 in Mammoth Lakes. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making my stay truly enjoyable. The location was convenient, with easy access to the nearby resort. Overall, a great value for the price, and I would highly recommend it to others.

The family and I have stayed here a total of 8 times for the last 4 winter seasons and can say that this recent stay was way better than the rest. Im pretty sure they upgraded their pillows and bedsheets because the beds felt cozier and comfortable. The manager Melissa and staff were always kind and informative. Whatever the management is doing right now please keep up the great work and Thank you for a great Weekday ski trip experience.

I stayed here during spring break with my kids and it was a comfortable stay, I went to the office midweek and Tanya at the front desk was very nice and made my stay for the rest of the week so pleasant, I booked 2 more nights and she was so sweet and gave me a map of all the fun stuff there is to do out there with my kids that I wasn t aware of! Definitely will be going back soon!

Motel 6 in Mammoth Lakes had the last room before the storm hit. The price was as expected for the last room on the mountain. Motel 6 rooms are very similar. This one was as expected and the cleanest out of other Motel 6 accommodations that I ve been in. Melissa the manager was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had the room when we arrived late in the night. In the morning when we were checking out it was coming down. I had to work and use WiFi and we couldn t check into our other place until 2pm. Melissa didn t have to but she extended the check out to accommodate my work which she didn t have to do. Very pleased with the room, the fact the lot got plowed early and I didn t have to sit in a car for 3 hours and wait in the storm. Thanks again Melissa.

Staying at the Motel 6 was a life saver! We were supposed to stay just for a long weekend in Mammoth but my cousin broke his leg so we had to stay for 2.5 weeks longer, while he recovered. Other places were prohibitively expensive for that long but fortunately Motel 6 offered the best rates by far and had everything I needed-- fast Wifi, TV, USB charger, coffee! Not only was this a super convenient stay but the staff, Melissa and Tanya, especially, were SUPER accommodating, inviting, and friendly. Truly grateful that this Motel6 was available.

When we arrived the person who assist us was polite. We booked 2 rooms and we asked for the rooms to be connected by the divided door for some reason he didn t accommodate our request, he gave us 2 separate rooms instead.We asked again and he was willingly to exchange it, but a custodian lady walked in starting to boss him around and telling him not to do it.She has a bad attitude no customer service rude, she insulted us by yelling and told all the people who work there not to talk She acts it like she own the place.

I had a great experience for the few days I was there! I believe it was Kim, Tanya, and Jeff who were extremely helpful and provided excellent customer service. Their night staff Filipe was also very good. The rooms were clean, bathroom was tidy, and housekeeping was also very helpful. I appreciated the second floor especially for the balcony and the experience! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a short or long stay.

I came to Mammoth.... and found this Motel 6 in Mammoth Lakes... Tania greeted me with absolute kindness...Made me feel very welcomed. The rooms are absolutely clean. Staff is wonderful and amazing and very attentive in the morning they serve coffee in the lounge. I've been to more expensive hotels and been treated badly. And just traveling around mammoth, this has to be one of the best places that provide great customer service. I could see they're not tired of their job that they love what they do. We stayed here with our pets while traveling. The hotel sidewalk resembled a wooded trail, and was enjoyed by our furry companions. The hotel's cleanliness and welcoming front desk staff impressed us. Although the rooms were a tad small, their cleanliness and overall quality were commendable. A great variety of restaurants within walking distance. And amazing views within driving distance of the hotel.

Absolutely incredible service from these guys. I was basically stranded while waiting a couple of days for a tow truck and dealing with a useless car rental company and the team was all super accomodating. Myra, Tanya and Jeremy made me feel really welcome while I waited and honestly they made a nightmare situation that little bit better. Room wise absolutely no complaints, really clean and definitely well priced for the beautiful location. Thanks again guys and would love to come back in Winter and get out on the slopes!

Complete scam. My partner and I had to stay here for a few days while we were in between houses. We had to bring our epileptic dog that had a grand Mal seizure and urinated on the sheets. I did the hotel the courtesy of washing the sheets and they charged me $500 in damages for the mattress. Manager expressed no sympathy or understanding whatsoever. Will never come back to this Motel 6.

Close to shopping, food, bus to the slopes, and staff was very accommodating, letting us do late checkout without extra fee so that we could come back from the slopes around noon to shower and then head back home.Updated: Stayed another time and they were extremely accommodating with my parking situation.Walkability: Shopping mall right across street, 2 min walk to bus stop to the slopesFood & drinks: Schatz, Black Velvet coffee

Great customer service and clean. After having to cancel our camping trip due to weather we got the last room at the Mammoth Motel 6. We were pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the staff. They let us check in early and it was clean. Tanya at the front desk made us feel welcome and helped us explore the options to make the most out of our situation and explore the area. It changed the outlook for our trip and really appreciate having a clean and safe place to stay.

What a fantastic location. This Mammoth lakes is really nice, the scenery is fantastic and the chance of seeing wild bears makes it super exciting. Motel 6 is in a great location, the rooms are clean and it is convenient for amenities. Whilst we stayed at Motel 6 Tania (on reception) was fantastic and really helpful in advising on the beat places to eat etc in Mammoth.Would definitely visit again.

We planned to stay two nights here while fishing at lake Crowley. This motel 6 is 20 minutes away from the launch point and is a straight drive. Obviously this would not be ideal during peak season at mammoth but was an outstanding option first-second week of June.The receptionist was kind and courteous and made sure we were aware of bears in the area. The room was clean and well stocked. The heater worked great. Showers were hot. Beds were nice. The room we had was quiet and we slept well.We had to leave our fishing trip early and the receptionist was understanding and caring about our predicament. Hope motel 6 realizes how good the employees are that work there.We will definitely be back.

Extremely basic and slightly outdated rooms. It s worth it if you re able to catch a cheap rate and everything else is sold out. Otherwise it s just a Motel 6 and don t expect much in terms of comfort or quality. The room was reasonably clean. On the positive note I liked how professional and friendly was the front receptionist during all interactions, thank you!
