Had a really lovely stay here! The hotel staff was super nice and the location simply can t be beat. We booked this super far in advance so we scored a really good price. The rooms could use some updating but they were clean & comfortable. We loved that they have 4 hot tubs, even on a busy weekend there was enough room for everyone to enjoy. We will definitely be back!!

Negatives - Place is a dump, worst mountain side hotel we have ever been in. Hotel is very poorly maintained and in really bad shape - dirty grout, torn rugs, beat up furniture, dirty walls. None of the services are up to date. Budget Inns are better, yet this place charges premium prices.Staff is super nice but ineffective. None of our standard requests were satisfied. We had to move rooms and despite promises otherwise we were without a room for half a day and our exhausted racer had to sit/nap in the lobby. Couldn t get late checkout. Front desk phone was never answered. Could not get bell person or find a cart. Had to ferry luggage and ski equipment on our own on checkout while everyone else was using the same single elevator to carry their luggage down while dealing with housekeeping who also using the same single elevator.Positive - Very convenient location. We stayed here for a ski race for our daughter.

Place is dated, but clean. Definitely worth the money. However, food options are terrible. I'm giving them 3 stars just because of that. Basically by the time mountain closes, all you are left with is their main restaurant. It's expensive, and food is complete trash. I've had a better steak at Applebee's. For $18 they can't even bring them selves to making a hand made burger patty. Bland and not cooked well. Save your money and time.Food & drinks: Bad food

We stayed at this hotel from 12/16/23 till 12/22/23 because we love the location. The fact that we are close to all the lifts is very convenient with our two little kiddos. It took us 4 hours to check-in and the staff were unable to explain why room service could not prioritize getting our room cleaned, so we could check-in. We lost a day of skiing because of this and when it came time to checkout they were unable to accommodate our request to check out late. The one bedroom was spacious with a full kitchen and had a nice view but the carpets clearly had not been washed for a couple of decades where you could see various large stains. There were also yellow stains on the bathroom wall which was very repulsive. The towels were so abrasive that you could use them as an exfoliating scrub. We love to ski at the main lodge and to stay at this hotel however if we re going to spend over $700 a night I expect a certain level of cleanliness and customer service.

I have 4 reservations booked for MMI this season. We completed the first reservation this past weekend. This place does a few things very well kind staff, pleasant lobby w/gear rental, home to 3 hot tubs, a mountain view pool, and comfy beds. Yes, indoor parking is limited and hallways are slightly moldy, but the rooms are laid out in a logical manner. The rooms are well maintained. The bones of the building are good. Would love to see them redo the rooms, hallways, and pool area this summer. Management is definitely banking on the location just note that. Yes, it is a phenomenal location, reminds me of the Big Sky Huntley Lodge before their recent room remodel. 1 min walk to the gondola. 4 stars given overall condition and the other big mountain lodging options (across Alterra/other ski resorts in the US). As the season progresses, will update as needed

We used to come here every single ski season for 3 to 6 visits. Well we just left and the place has been neglected to perdition. This is an overpriced motel 6 where dogs are barking and roaming wet everywhere. The only plus is the location. Other than that you'll suffer through thin walls, hard beds, dirty carpets, smelly dogs and non stop barking of few. I am allergic to dogs had I known this was going to be going on, I would have stayed somewhere else. Complains are futile as front desk just says this is a pet friendly hotel! We arrived around noon. Room was ready after we were back from the slopes. Around 430pm.

We had the absolute best time. Excellent location. Great amenities. The staff were amazing and super friendly. The food at the restaurant upstairs was delicious. Loved everything and would definitely make the journey from Australia to go back there again!Rooms: Spacious enough with good size bathroom area. Heater in the room plus opening windows for fresh air were a plus. They even had a microwave provided for our room in addition to the fridge and coffee machine already there.Walkability: The mountain and lifts are literally right outside your room!Food & drinks: The restaurant and bar had awesome staff every single night and the food was fantastic!

The worst hotel I have lived in.Any $60 motel is better than this one. Just find any other hotel in the town.I really don't know how they got a three star. The parking lot is horrible. The ceiling is low and ugly, and smells like pig sty. The corridor is like a jail or submarine, the ceiling is low, and you have to walk through 10 doors to your room. You will be scared even though you don't have claustrophobia. The bathroom is old and the fan is whining like hell. The front desk spent half an hour to check in one customer. And they charge a $28 resort fee, for this horrible environment.Avoid this 120 years old hotel.

Don't think this is a 4 star resort. It's not really designed for that. But this place has character and all the conveniences you could need. Bell service is super helpful. Ticket kiosk in the lobby and rental if needed in the lobby. So skip the main lodge lines. Next is the location!!! Walk to the gondola, Broadway express, or beginner slopes. Highly recommend a loft. A room with a view of the mountiain. We live this place. It's OG and is quaint and service is over the top. Stay here when rooms are available.

We stayed here from 12/01/23 to 12/03/23. The location of this Inn is excellent. You can walk right over to Main Lodge in about 5 minutes. We really enjoyed the convenience of not having to worry about the shuttle or parking. There are also several public indoor jacuzzis, a heated pool, a larger outdoor jacuzzi, and two public showers/bathrooms in the same area. The parking garage is small and hard to get a spot in, but they have plenty of outdoor parking to accompany it. I docked stars because we had requested a non-smoking room (and our room door even showed the non-smoking sign), but it was immediately obvious when we checked in that our room had been smoked in before. A couple of my group are sensitive to the smell of smoke, so this was an annoying thing that we had to get used to over the duration of the weekend. When we complained about it to the front desk, they said there was nothing they could do since no more rooms similar to our booking were available for the weekend.Overall, we would stay here again for the ski in/ski out location, but hopefully not receive a room like we did on this trip.

False advertisement!! Booked a queen bed room and when we got here it was not a queen! The front desk said that our room was a queen sized bed and that all the queen rooms have the same bed size. We're here for snowboarding so we had a tape measurer with us and it measured at 5776 which is a little bigger than a full size but a standard queen bed is 6080. The front desk kept saying it's a hotel sized queen like what is that supposed to even mean! I told them to come measure it themselves and they declined. Have stayed here at their lofts in the past with no problem but don't book a queen room if you actually expect a queen bed. This place is old and dirty and most definitely not worth the price even after the ikon pass discount. Also it s funny how the owner only responds to good reviews and does nothing with the negative ones.Rooms: You won t get a queen sized bed because they re all smaller than standard queens.

The room looks the same as the hotel picture, but it is small. before going to the room. You will walk through old looking stairs and corridors. Our room in the second floor, there is no elevator. We both couldn't sleep all night. The air conditioner was too loud, especially if the room was small. Every time the heater was turned on we wake up all night long. Do you think this is terrible?I turned the temperature down a lot in the middle of the night. Keep it from being noisy throughout the night. But it still wakes us up every time it's heated. And we could still hear noise from other rooms throughout the night. Is this so crazy? When we walked out from the second floor. The stairs need repair. There was a stair that lost one wood. My friend was in front of me and she almost fell halfway down the stairs. of cause, she was scared.

I booked this hotel mainly because of the gondola. Felt that it'd be a good base for us to head up to the mountains for some short tracks. Erm, didn't expect it to still be ski season when we went up in late June so that was a super bonus. It was just amazing to wake up and see the slopes. Rooms were clean and the hot spas were amazing especially when we were freezing in the night. Service was good as well as they were very patient in sorting out the free gondola pass that we should have got with the room.

The room was beautiful. It had plenty of room and it was very clean. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of closet space. The bathroom was nearly immaculate. It had a nice big tub/shower. The room also had a full kitchen and a beautiful deck overlooking the plaza. (See night photo) The AC unit worked ok. The intake hose had a hole in it so it was simultaneously blowing cool and warm air into the room. The phone to the front desk didn't work.Nearby activities: There is plenty to do nearby for everyone. Shopping, Dining, Recreation (Skiing in season), Hiking etcSafety: The resort is very secure. Not only is it on Mammoth Mountain but the hotels all require keycards to operate the outside doors and elevators and enter the rooms.Food & drinks: Dining options were very good. Something for all tastes. Steak, Pub, Tiki Bar, Cafs, Pizza, Ice Cream etc.

No elevator or cart to get our bags into the room. The walls and the doors in the room were dinged and paint chipped there was no screen on our window, our closet didn't work properly the bathroom floor was very sticky and when I tried to clean it with a wet wipe it turned Brown. Yuck they put us in a roomRight above where the work trucks are.. not impressed will never stay there again!

I stayed just one night in this hotel during my road trip in the US and it was one of the nicest. My room was in a separate building from the main one but still it was cosy. There's a covered garage for the car and they warn you not to leave any food inside it in order to avoid bear caused damages. I had to pay a 28.5$ resort fee for the night.

The location is phenomenal. Right next to the slopes with stunning views from the in-house restaurant. The bar is charming, lobby is excellent, and I will call out that the front desk staff was helpful and kind. Had a great elk steak for dinner. However this hotel is very dated and badly deteriorating. They are apparently tearing it down in a couple years and have obviously decided not to invest anything in repairs, renovation, or maintenance. It's fine for a place to crash, but the rooms (and I saw 3 of them) were more like a budget motel than a ski resort. At the price this runs, you're paying for ready access to the skiing, which in winter makes great sense, but you're paying for the where, much less than the what.

What a welcoming place, You have no idea. Its the reception personnel that makes it so special. They treat you with such kindness you dont want to leave. I would just move in permanently.Noteworthy details: Parked my big truck with no problems.

A bit overpriced for a shoulder season stay (~$175/night). We stayed in the Annex and the rooms were dilapidated and need updating. Additionally the harsh cleaning chemical scents were way too strong. We were on the first floor and could hear conversations in adjoining rooms and footsteps from the floor above us due to thin walls. Eventually we decided to leave a day early.Rooms: Rooms need updating

Rooms are nice but its just an insanely overpriced motel room. The main building is fancy but the rooms are not there. Amenities are all around unconvinient to access them. Food is good but also astronomical ($28 for a burger and nothing else). Bathroom well i am not sure probably its clean but its do rundown that I am showing in flipflops. For this price its a joke. Also I smell sometimes urine.

Visited Mammoth for the first time for a wedding at the top of the mountain this past weekend. We chose it because it was within walking distance of the gondola we were to take up to the ceremony. It was incredibly, and probably unseasonably warm. Mammoth Mountain Inn is not well-equipped for temps above 80. Our large, three-story condo-like room had a portable air conditioner, but because it was stuck in the window for ventilation, we couldn't move it from the living space. Fortunately, there were box fans in the bedroom closets. Night temps made it bearable. The Inn itself is very run down: paint peels from the hall walls and the carpet is threadbare. Our rooms were clean enough, beds comfy. The dishwasher had a puddle of water inside, so we hand-washed instead. Front desk was pleasant enough and informative.Overall, the experience was nothing to write home about. I think if we weren't there for a specific reason but for a relaxing vacation, I would have been more upset at the conditions. We paid what I felt were mid-season mountain resort prices for a lackluster experience. Perhaps it would be different during the ski season.

We brought our rescue dog. She had never stayed in a hotel before and she was nervous about what she couldn t see. She barked every time someone passed by our room. Someone complained and Stephen Chan at the front desk went out of his way to come up with the best solution for us. He found a room tucked in the back with its own little entrance. And as a bonus, the view from our window was spectacular! Thank you, Stephen!

The hotel has several buildings spread across the property that allow for lodging. We stayed in the Yodler Haus. It was a cozy room with a welcoming vibe. The mini fridge was unplugged and the air condition didn t work the best, but it was a cool night so we slept with the window open. Be aware that if you are handicap, you need to stay in an area that has an elevator. The staff is very professional and friendly. I had a wonderful experience staying here and would gladly return anytime I m in the area.

Far away in the middle of no-where!! A bit of a desert in summer because it is mainly dedicated to skying activity with very little done for summer activity. No sho and one restaurant. Ok for one night on a way to somewhere else. The lake Mary is worth the visitRooms: Small and old fashion but the minimum was there. A place to sleep full stopNearby activities: Not much at the time we were in the lakes 20 mn away are beautiful and the ride id worth in the morningWalkability: The access to the rooms building is by car and do not expect help to reach the upstairs rooms through a narrow staircase. There is a smell of cannabis in all the parts of this hotel. Quite disturbingFood & drinks: The restaurant in the lobby was closed and quite everything was closedNoteworthy details: The rooms are of limited confort. Don t expect much
