We have been using Edwin's services for several years now with only good outcomes with the repairs they have performed. Edwin and Juan are honest and provide great service at affordable and reasonable prices. When we learned of the ultra-high labor costs (i.e., approximately $150.00/hour) with the Toyota dealer in Merced in January 2020, we sought another repair shop for our Toyota van. Edwin repaired our van for far less than the Toyota dealer repair shop. In one occasion, Juan did not charge us for a minor repair!We have also been impressed with the diagnostic capabilities at Edwin's Quality Repair. To that point, Edwin was able to diagnose a problem with our van that was not diagnosed at the Toyota dealer repair shop. If ever there is a question with the outcome of the repair, Edwin is more than willing to re-evaluate his work. Since our first encounter with Edwin, we have not returned to the Toyota dealer. Edwin and Juan have gained our confidence and hopefully, for you, too. We highly recommend Edwin's Quality Repair.

I went there for a smog certificate. Twenty minutes or so I had my certificate. Nice staff. My go to place for a smog certificate. They also do automobile repairs.

Our vehicle broke down on I5 at hour 3 of a 16 hour drive back home. Edwin answered his phone promptly and agreed to check out our Tahoe. We were able to get to his shop, and he quickly diagnosed the issue, immediately ordered the part, and had it replaced with in minutes of the parts arrival. We don t know what we would have done without him! Stand up guy and a great team. Thank you Edwin!!! We were on the I5 heading to Palm Springs from Canada. Our front wheel bearing wore out. We phoned several shops with no one available. We had a 32 foot trailer in tow. It was at the end of the day. We phoned Edwin's and was told to bring it in.They did a wonderful job. They new we were desperate and could not go any further. But still... Did a great job. Did it fast and did not over charge. Unprofessional with appointments. I scheduled a smog appointment on a Friday for the upcoming Monday afternoon. I show up to my appointment on time only to be told that any of the people that could do the smog were still on a weekend Las Vegas trip, which should've been back already, and said i could come back tomorrow. Super ridiculous you cant manage your schedule to be back on time for work Not even gonna attempt to go back.

Honest quality work. My vehicles have had everything from oil changes, tune-up's, smog checks, etc etc etc done at Edwin's. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Came in due to some brake pads that were about done for on my Ford Econoline E350 van, was offered a new solution at a great price! Service was fantastic and pretty quick! Honest mechanic with fantastic work!

Thank you Edwin for Superior customer service. You welcomed me as a friend. You took my truck in immediately and did your thing. I knew driving to your shop, you were gonna be my lucky charm. Called to have then change my headlight since there are parts in my car thst needed mechanical tools to replace. They told me to come in and the guy even got up from his lunch break to help me Was done in about 15 minutes Very kind staff Will return

This place is a rip off they fix one thing and then seems like they do something to Make you bring your car back a week later in the past month I had to take my car there for overheating issues and it s always something different I don t recommend these frauds

My first experience at this shop and it was outstanding. Edwin is customer oriented, takes the time to understand your situation and what to do, all while charging a fair price. I will be going to this shop again if and when my vehicle needs it.

Honest affordable mechanic in Los Banos. My car failed smog and he told me what to do without paying a dime. I did what he suggested, 3 days later my car passed smog. Definitely earned my trust

Went for a smog check today and it wasn t available until Monday. Maybe they only do smog checks Monday through Friday. Call before going just to make sure.

Nice, honest guy and a good mechanic. Hard to find these days. Prices are fair and he seems pretty transparent. It's refreshing. I have been referring people I know to him as well.
