These guys are awesome! Helped me with my KITT replica, when no other mechanic would touch it. They were fast, responsive and reasonably priced. And they KNOW engines! Can't recommend them enough!

Best mechanic team I ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. You will not find a better price plus friendly mechanics. Chris Wolf was very knowledgeable, I have an 82 Monte Carlo and my O2 sensors were stripped and he re-threaded them with expert execution! Highly recommend this shop!Services: Electrical, Auto maintenanceServices: Electrical, Auto maintenance

Ted picked up the phone and knew more about Pontiac motors than anyone else I've ever spoken too....I've been working with Pontiac for over 30 years as more of a weekend warrior. I had an issue with a valve job I was working on and Ted talked me off the ledge and offered amazing advice. I'm ready to have my engine taken to the next level. Caesar is also an amazing resource, very helpful in getting you parts you need fast at a good price. Great shop, heaven on earth to me !Service: Engine repair

You don't see shops like this very often anymore. Old school hangout kind of shop. Ted is super knowledgable, and as a gear-head, I enjoyed talking shop with him for a few hours. He has been in this business a long time and knows what he is doing. He loves oddball builds, and when I stopped by with my 66 Mustang modified 200 inline 6, we hit it right off. Ted gave me some great suspension advise, and it was great to just talk to someone, just like 2 old gear-head friends. No arrogance, just pure car talk.

Bought a fitting from them a few years back that I couldn't find anywhere else. Went back another time to buy one of their really cool, old school t-shirts and just hung out a bit talking with Ted. Visiting this place is like going back in time. Ted is super humble and seems to love his work. I only know of a few remaining speed shops and I hope they all stay around.

I wanted a new exhaust system for my 1968 Ford Mustang. I went to Culver City Muffler, and they sent me straight here. I walked in, and was amazed to see an old school motor shop. I talked to Eric and Robert. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I said I wanted headers with a dual exhaust. No problem, broke down the prices and when they asked me if I trust them with my car, I said yes. Glad I did, because in less than one week, I got my car back and it sounds exactly how I wanted it to sound! These guys are awesome! This is the place to bring in your old toy! Great job guys! Thank you so very much!

It's nice to know that there's still a good old fashioned speed shop in town with awesome staff and hard workers. I had a small carb problem and they told me to pull around to back and they could at least take a look. They gave me tools and supplies and let me fix it myself. 20 minutes later I was on my way. I'll always be doing my classic rod business there from now on. Thanks guys.

There aren't many places like this left. Old school speed shop. People are friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a classic car or are building one, this is the place for you. They have helped me keep my old Ford running great for the 20 years I have owned it.

I really want to love this place because they are OK guys, have a lot of oddball inventory and it feels like a cool place. But Ted will always try to sell you something that is not exactly perfect or is a bit of a jerry rig(.....like putting a Quadrajet on a vintage Corvette) or that is not exactly a correct mechanical fit (like mis-matched threads). If you are a purist or looking for the correct part or looking for a really sound solution, Westside is not quite perfect. It is always a fun experience but you gotta use a little caution here.

Couldn't be happier with my experience. Oscar was a HUGE help in getting me back on the road in a hurry and they had all the rare little parts I needed to get the job done! Earned my repeat business without a doubt.

We let Ted procrastinate for 10+ years while he was supposedly rebuilding a basic 289 motor before finally pulling the plug. 'Received back some boxes of miscellaneous incomplete parts that appeared to have been swept off the floor. Luckily we grabbed the rolling body that had been surreptitiously stashed at his house before it could be parted out. I guess they haven't met Karma, yet. Oh, well.

This place has lots of performance parts in stock and they have great staff! They tend to be open pretty late on Saturday too which is great for someone like me that works on you car on the weekend!
