Jorge is amazing! HE is punctual honest and compassionate. We have been coming here for years and he knows what he's doing for sure ! I'd recommend him over and over again !Came here for the oil changes, transmission oil change and some sensors on the dashboard and he took care of it for a reasonable price .Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tire rotations, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

My family and I been coming for some years now. And every time we go, we a smarts have a wonderful experiences. Jorge always make sure we are well taken care of. He's done breaks, tires and also repairing engines problems to changing oil etc. And not once had problems. If something isn't working properly He makes sure it gets done whether is him personally or his employees. At a Reasonable price and great hours definitely worth coming here.

When i got my tire changed they broke my valve and charged me $25 to replace it even though it wasnt broken before i went to get my tire changed. Every other tire shop i have been to has changed the valves along with the tires and not charged for it. I have had the valve changed before and it costs max $15. RIP OFF TIRE SHOP!!! DO NOT GOM

It's always been good here at this auto repair shop! I'm looking at other reviews but I have a feeling they're just being prejudice about our young mechanics. That's not cool. I've known em the longest and they get the job done faster than my older counter parts. You're tripping if you think they're messing up.

First off, in my experience, Serrano's is extremely well priced, quick, and does good, solid work. Last year, they bundled work together for a very good price that made sure I passed my smog check, fixed a bad oil leak, and other routine maintenance. Unfortunately, I came back with the same problem as last year - the intake sensor went bad. In a seemingly genuine attempt to save me money, Jorge simply had the sensor replaced again rather than the whole intake manifold. I was fine with this - I was planning on spending $1200 that day for the sensor repair, back brakes, all four motor mounts (which Jorge had recommended last year), and an oil change. The price was easily 3/4ths that for the work listed above and I was pleasantly surprised, said yes, and picked my car up later that day. The next morning, my check engine light was on again. The code showed it was the same sensor, so Jorge reset the computer and sent me on my way. A couple of days later, the same thing. So I drop the car off for another full day to have the sensor replaced again (free of charge) only to pick it up to find out the alternator had gone bad. The next day, I pick up the bad alternator and exchange it at Pep Boys for free under warranty - they also confirmed it had gone bad. Jorge charged $220 for the alternator installation - which at first I felt weary about. However, in my car, the A/C and Alternator live on the same belt and the Alternator is positioned under the A/C - it's a lot of work just to get to it and $220 doesn't leave much of a margin. Additionally, I had to replace my A/C compressor since the pulley broke on the old one at the beginning of the year. This was done at a shop across town and I don't think they did a great job with the belt - the A/C would squeak when I used it anywhere other than the freeway. This led me to believe that this subpar job may have led to the alternator not being charged properly. Was the Alternator on its way out? Did Serranos cause a fault? I'm not sure, but my A/C is working 100% better than before and the squeaks are gone - so I'm cool with this. A couple of days later, the check engine light comes on yet again. I take it in later in the day and speak with Christian - the person who appears to be the lead mechanic; he's a genuine and knowledgable guy and he straight up said the whole intake manifold needs to be replaced. I leave the car and confirm the work with Jorge over the phone in the morning. Jorge charges me just for the part, no labor - which I'm appreciative of. I looked online and found manifolds only $30 cheaper with added shipping time - so it was genuine pricing for a same day part. Picked it up at the end of the day and the car was running just as good as when I first bought it. The new motor mounts have made for such a smooth ride and i can tell my little 2.4l is able to accelerate appropriately again thanks to the new intake manifold. I just wish we could've replaced the manifold on day one or even day two - I may have spent a little more money than I would've liked upfront, but I wouldn't have also lost days of work having my car at their shop longer than it needed to be. There was one glaringly negative from all this - when Jorge was showing me my car after changing the alternator, he used the power window switch on the driver side and my driver side rear window shorted out. I was upset and Jorge did little to remedy the situation, but something like this is expected when you're not at a premium shop paying premium prices - mistakes happen. It would've been nice if Jorge at least offered to prop it up until I had it taken care of, though. All this being said - I'm happy with their work and will continue to be a customer in the future.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Oil change

Worst service ever. The owner a young short guy first off all sells me and puts on a way smaller tire than what my truck uses. Went back next day to let him know and he told me he was gonna change my tire out for the wrong tire he gave me. To make a long story short went back 7 different times and this guy who owns yhe tire shop would say he never had the tire size i needed. Go figure a tire shop not having a tire. So if u want to get ripped off go here they will gladly rip u off.

They're honest reliable and sure to please if they can so if you need a quick tire fix and you're in the neighborhood of York and olden those are the guys you want working on your tire.

The owners son replaced my brakes and he did them all wrong,he had no clue with what he was doing.also i told them to replace only the shocks but they also replaced my struts without my consent,the struts I had on there were new and better quality than what they replaced them with.they also installed the shocks improperly.i should have known better because when I dropped my car off the owners son was arguing with another customer about a missing part from her car that was taken off at there shop.the owners son is incompetent and rude.i would not recommend either Serrano locations in highland park.especially the location off York Blvd.after all the hassle and waste of my time I had to take my car to another mechanic and I had to pay Him to fix all the mistakes serranos had made on my car,I had to pay out of my pocket for the same better quality struts I had on there before the owners son took it upon himself to replace them with some generic brand stunts and I also had to replace the terrible shocks they put on my car which were also bad quality that did not last more than a week.also i had to have the brakes redone.dont waste your time and money going to either serranos locations.my review of serranos is they have a rude attitude,generic parts,terrible mechanics,the owners son has no business working on anyone's car,he can't even install brakes.he also has no control over his pathetic immature attitude.get your car done right and take it elsewhere.as you can see they also have previous complaints from other customers.

On the date of December 5, 2015 I pulled my car into Serrano's Tires $ Auto repair to be maintenanced by Pio Hernandez. The car is owned by my Mother, but its been in our family over a decade now. The car was hauled by me and a friend from my apartment about 2 blocks from my house, after it was towed due to a power steering failure. During the time of the car being inside the mechanic shop the problem was inside the hood of the car. The car was leaking oil and The power steering pump and hoses was also damaged. Pio explained how the shop needed to order the parts and the cost during this time was $363.00. So I paid the cost in full and the car was return to me the next few hours. While driving the car for a few more weeks the car began to repeat the same situation, but this time on December 28th, 2016 not only was there no power steering fluid in the reservoir there was a Radiator issue and Cooling system needed to be inspected. I agreed that the water pump, radiator, upper hose, and lower hose should be replaced if there is no damaged cylinder head. The cost to replace these parts, plus cost of labor totaled $650. One week later my car died on the freeway and had to get my car towed to Serrano's auto shop once more again. This time I needed a car battery and that ran me up to $160. Also the car sounded really funny and loud, so Pio suggested that the Turbine be adjusted and the exhaust pipe with new gaskets be replace and that costed $220. So I agreed to pay him to do the job approximately on January 9, 2016. A few days later my car stauls and I cannot get the car to start, so I towed the car again to Serrano's and on January 25th, 2016 the idle pully and serpentine belts needed to be replaced and it took them 3 days to finish the job. So by now I'm very frustrated and confused why I spent money on two of the same parts and he also burnt out my head light while trying to jump the start the car. I have other receipts from Auto Zone and Ebay when I had bought parts such as the rack and pinion, high grade power steering fluid, and proof I paid for the power steering pump twice when supposedly I had a 90 day warranty. Pio threatened me on my cell phone when I left the shop the very last time I decided not to do business with him. He took advantage and avoided working on my car when I needed the job done when I paid him many times to get the car completed. He wouldn't keep his promise when give a time to be finished by. He made my life very difficult and had to quite my full time job because of it. On April 12, 2016 my car needed to be inspected and smog. The inspection failed because my Pcv valve was cut and the valve was covered in residue electric tape. I remembered Pio told me he cut the valve for a reason I didn't know. With all this my total of damages I had paid for all the trouble it was $2600. I am accusing them for failure to fix my car properly and there are still minor damages that they did to my car while being serviced there. The environment is very unprofessional and in the neighborhood they are known to take peoples money and hustle cars. I was harassed on the phone by Pio Hernandez and I feel unsafe in the neighborhood, so I moved down the street away from harm. I would liked to be refunded so I can properly fix my car by the car specialist of my choice. Thank you!

They do good work and get the jobs done..... But sometimes they forget to call you when they complete the jobs..... Great pricing though
