A few months back, I was involved in a hit-and-run incident that caused significant damage to the back of my car. Thankfully, I stumbled upon Pasten, and it turned out to be a stroke of luck. The service I received there was exceptional - the staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional. I wholeheartedly recommend Pasten to anyone seeking peace of mind when it comes to their car repairs.

I haven't taken all my vehicles anywhere other than pasten automotive for about 2 years, Marco and his team work friendly and professionally. they explain the problem with your vehicle to you. Marco {owner} & his guys are great to work with! Knowing in advance where you will have your car towed to and knowing that everything will be taken care of quickly, competently and fairly by your "go to" mechanic.... in your neighborhood....and by someone you actually really like.... is a fantastic feeling!!!! I hope he doesn't retire any time soon!

My wife and I have been using Pasten Automotive for a few years now, since moving into the neighbourhood. I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else.Marco, the owner, is one of the nicest, most honest, trustworthy and reliable people you'll have the pleasure to meet. He's the exact opposite of the type of mechanic the vast majority of us conjure up in our minds when thinking of them....they type that tell you there's 22 things wrong with your car, instead of just fixing your oil-leak and letting you get away without paying a small fortune for dubious upsells.Marco will explain, and show you, exactly what went wrong, how they fixed it, and will never try and get you to sign on for unnecessary work. Such a refreshing change! He even hands you the broken parts over so you know exactly what was fixed, to guarantee he's not trying to be sneaky!It's also nice to go to get your car fixed and come away with a smile on your face. As we live close-by, Marco has brought our newly-repaired car to our house a few times, which is just amazing. He's even turned up with a battery to jump-start our car after the battery ran out. You won't get that kind of service at one of the chain garages, that's for sure.If your car breaks down, get it over to Pasten Automotive (ahem, or have them pick it up to get it there), you won't regret it.

We were helped by Edwin he was very friendly and helpful. I will be a lifetime customer because they really care about people. We had an ongoing issue with our car and Edwin took the time to walk us through what the possible problems could be and it was nice that he walked us through the process and fixes he was making. Amazing service. I was new to LA and looking for a trustworthy shop and found this gem. Marco only fixes what you need and gives you a very reasonable and fair price. His team is great with service and willing to work with you on repairs. For one of my repairs, the owner even came in after hours to let me get my car in time for work the next day.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Marco is absolutely amazing and professional! He is a breath of fresh air in this industry. I have been going to him for almost 6 years now and he has consistently been honest, dedicated and has offered the best pricing. Of all the car mechanics, Marco is #1. He's always given solid advice, tells his customers how long a part will last and when it needs to be replaced, and sacrifices his own personal time to help. I can't recommend him enough. Stop looking for a mechanic, and go to him. You won't be disappointed.

My past mechanic (for 20+ yrs) stopped doing major repairs, and I fortunately found Pasten Automotive. I d like to say we ve been going to this shop since 2014 and have never been disappointed with their service. They may get busy some days but I ve always got my car when they told me it would be done... (more or less.) I ve had several friends referred that have been happy with their work and reasonable (competitive) prices.

Best rates around Top Notch service!!!Marco and his excellently trained mechanics will not only get you in and out quickly, but will bend over backwards to find the most affordable and efficient way of doing so!I've had other mechanics in my lifetime, but Marco is by far the most genuine.He truly cares more about your vehicle and you as a person than making huge profits and he'll work hard to get you back on the road in no time and keep you out of his shop until it's time for standard maintenance LOLWhen I first came to him it was via recommendation from a tow truck driver so I was a little suspicious. My concern was immediately alleviated after talking less than five minutes with Marco.He fixed my issue in my old car for 2 x less than everyone else was charging and the issue never came back again.However my car was old and when the next issue came up almost a year later he look me in my eyes and told me I could spend money to fix it but the issue would never correct itself and I would just be returning continuously.Bottom line he told me don't spend money with him and to just go buy a new car.What mechanic who wants to make a profit tells you that that???Marco's goal is not to make an unneeded profit.His goal is to help his customers.If that means telling them to invest in a new vehicle instead of continue to spend money fixing the same issue, then that's exactly what he'll do.And that amongst other great reasons is why he is my mechanic and should be yours.

I highly recommend Pasten Automotive. Marco, the shop's owner, has become a trusted friend over the last 3 years. He is honest and reliable and has saved me thousands of dollars on my car maintenance. I have recommended him to my family, my roommates, and my friends, and they have all been impressed with him. Marco will honestly tell you which services you need immediately and which ones can be completed at a later date if you are short on cash. If you are new to the LA area or just looking for someone you can trust, Marco is your guy!

Highly recommended, Marco is such an amazing mechanic and his team are good and kind. I know if I take my car there he will be fear and charge me only.for what I need and not extra like other places. My car there always comes out looking like new :)

Marco and his crew are the best mechanics one could hope for. Marco is fair, honest and trustworthy. I would not go anywhere else. I found the absolute best mechanic in Southern California. Gilda Girl my car is old and runs perfectly thanks to Marco.

Perfect combination of professional mechanics and good honest people. Where your last mechanic failed, they will accomplish. My mom introduced the owner marco to me when i was in need of a power steering replacement. When it was all said and done i was not charged for the inspection and i receive a major discount when i simply explained my back account was concerning me. If your like me you don't want to spend a bunch of time getting quotes for repairs and finding honest mechanics, this is why hands down pasten automotive is your best bet. If honesty and availability Is a priority with your mechanic then don't waste your time anywhere else SERIOUSLY call Pasten Automotive. Marco and everyone there are not only friendly but do a great job. They get it right the first time.If I ever have a problem with my car, this is the place to go. Very reasonable, pricing, honesty... I trust them which is why I highly recommend Pasten Automotive to everyone but especially to those who have had problems with dishonest car repair shops.

I came in for a catalytic converter that was stolen right out from under my car (be careful it's becoming really common!). Marco is a really kind and honest guy, he kept me up to date on when parts were coming, gave me a detailed estimate of the work to be done and guided me through all the stuff his team did afterwards. He was also kind enough to recommend a security device for my Catalytic converter based on his experience with what works better. Trustworthy place and I definitely recommend them.

Marco is one of the best guys I ve come across in LA. He s smart, considerate and he cares. My old mechanic was good, Marco is better. Never worked with a more professional and courteous guy. I recommend everyone I know to go to Marco.

Marco the owner at Pasten Automotive is truly a gem of a human. I had only had my car for about 6 months before I somehow managed to rip my whole front axle out hitting a parked car. When my tow driver came, he saw my car was in rough shape and recommended I go to Pasten. Marco will take care of you. And he lived up to it. Not only did he do the work at the lowest price possible, he worked with me on a payment plan. The work and parts were super high quality and my car is running like a charm again. As a young woman who has had lots of car repair experiences that were the complete opposite of this, I cannot say enough positive things about Marco and Pasten!!

This place was recommended to me by Auto Club tow truck driver. The person I was prefer to, Marco, did a great job. He is courteous, knowledgeable and realistic with projections and estimates of when things will be done. Pricing is very fair and he stays on top of being very communicative and a good way. I wish more mechanics were like this. He stays on top of things and let you know when things aren't going well. For example, I tried to use my debit card and his somehow wouldn't connect so he ask one of the neighboring the katic's if he could run the card on their system so I could pay as I wanted to. You don't always find that type of service and going out of his way. I highly recommend Pasten automotive services and Marco in particular!

I've been going to Marco for years and he's always been so helpful, honest, and professional. I highly recommend going to see him for any automotive needs. When my catalytic converter was stolen, rather than have to buy a brand new part at a steep premium, he found one from a Honda Odyssey (I drive a Honda Element) and re-worked it for my car then welded a cage over it to prevent it from being stolen again, all for half the cost that the dealer charged.

Great and Honest Mechanic! I highly recommend this place! Marco is super nice and will tell you honestly if something is or isn't wrong with your car. Twice I brought in my car to him, when I was considering purchasing the car and wanted to have it checked out by a mechanic & when lights went off, both times he did not charge me and told me nothing was wrong (the lights going off was just me needing to tighten my fuel cap tighter when I fill up with gas), any other mechanic would have made up something and charged me an arm and a leg. I appreciate this mechanic's honest business. If you're considering buying a car and need it checked (which you should) or your car gives you trouble, take it here, you won't regret it!

I've come to Pasten Automotive for the last year after getting a recommendation from a friend, and I have to say, Marco and his team are the BEST and MOST REASONABLE mechanics i have ever worked with in my 15 years of car ownership. They have gone above and beyond to make sure my vehicle is fixed properly in an obscenely short amount of time. The first time i had to have repairs done, Marco took me to a computer and showed me a cutaway of the parts in my car that needed replacing, and showed me a couple of things that he could do to prevent some very costly clutch repairs in the future for literally just $50 more. Since purchasing my most recent used vehicle a bit over a year ago, they have gotten it running better than when I bought it, and I drive over 1,500 miles a month! I would recommend Pasten to ANYONE that ever asks me for a reliable and reasonable mechanic, without hesitation. Thank you guys for your fantastic work!

A tow truck driver tricked me into coming here. I brought the vehicle in for a fuel issue. Instead, they removed and broke a brand new starter and tried to charge me $1,000 for a flywheel. Marco is a true car master!! Super honorable and professional. After meeting him, there s no other place I d go! I ve recommended him to a bunch of my friends and they all have had a great experience. People like him are hard to find 12/10

Marco and the entire team at Pasten Automotive always treat customers with respect and kindness, and it's one of the many reasons I continue to come back for all of my car-related needs. They take the time to explain the terminology and break it down so it's easier to understand, and they alway give a fair price no matter how big or small the repair.
