Jeff is the man. Been coming here for a few years since moving to the neighborhood. Love Jeff s jovial personality, and upfront and efficient communication. He s never tried to upsell me, and will tell me when he thinks it s okay to leave something as is. It makes taking my car in a way more pleasant and friendly experience, and I actually enjoy coming in and seeing familiar faces. Things are straightforward here and in my opinion pricing is honest.

Really nice guys. I got a flat tire just as my car was on the street right outside their shop. They put air for me and tried to direct me to other shops that sold tires for my car (because they didn t have any). They also tried to hail down a tow truck for me.I recommend them highly! Great vibe and good asset for the community!!!

Absolute best in the area!!! So professional and fair and incredible work. Jeff and his crew are top notch. And the sweetest to boot!My husband and I bring all our cars to them. Most trusted in the area. If I can give them 10 stars I would.Just love this place! They always go above and beyond.

I brought my 2018 Nissan kicks to get it s wheel bearings replaced. They gave me a fair price and had it done in a few hours. I brought in my 2015 Prius to get the brake pads replaced and got a fair price and done in a few hours. They re very knowledgeable here and friendly. Overall, great experience and I ll definitely be coming back.

Jeff is an amazing mechanic and he commands a good team. Such an amazing and honest shop that will always find your the right solution to your vehicles problem. The honesty and empathy of this shop is unsurpassed and I couldn t recommend them enough.

You can always count on Jeff Sum and his team of mechanics that are loyal to work for the customers best interest always. Decent prices, all the time will give you a fair shake or he'll tell you to buy a new car.

I cannot love this place more. Jeff and his crew are the best, always. They are friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and super reasonably priced. Jeff always gives it to me straight up- telling me exactly what's going on with my car, and he always gives 2 or three options of service, at different price points. I've taken my car to him for 12 years, and honestly, I brag about how lucky I feel to have found such a great and honest and competent mechanic...ALL of the guys there are great.

Very efficient, friendly and affordable! Great communication. My neighbors and husband had nothing but wonderful things to say about their service. I just brought my Honda Fit in and Jeff saw me immediately, it was a minor issue with my undercarriage and he fixed it for free!

Good, busy little shop. Called to ask if they had an oil change slot. They did. I headed over, pulled right in, and was out in no time. They were happy to chat and answer my questions. And everyone was helpful and pleasant. Just happily busy doing their thing. Didn't mind that I was peeking round the underside of my raised car while they did so, and pleasantly answered my occasional dumb questions as they worked. (I like cars, but don't know so very little compared to shop mechanics!)Certainly a great neighborhood spot!

If my grandmother, who knows nothing about auto mechanics, had issues with her car and there was not a single person who could go to a mechanic shop with her I would 100% send her to Jeff.I ve had two of my cars diagnosed, serviced and repaired by Jeff and his guys. I ve also sent my friends and partners here mainly because of the honesty I perceived. If they can t do it he ll be honest about it. If the repair is too costly he ll guide you towards a safe and more cost effective option.Hands down the first place I ll take my car.Services: Transmission, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Transmission repair, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

I love this place!!!!! Fair. Honest, affordable. Funny. You do need to be patient and have a good sense of humor. The owner is very ADD and sometimes you don t know which car he is working on but if you wait 10-15 minutes he will check in with you. Also if you re confused just ask him questions. Anyways I ve had wonderful experiences hear each time. He s always so fair and helps you save money.

Jeff is the best, most trustworthy, most reliable mechanic I have ever worked with. He's worked on my car several times over the past few years and has always done an amazing job, timely, professional and at a great price. He is fair, honest, hardworking and very funny, I would recommend him to anyone.

Always the best service. Owner Jeff still runnings things. Manager Alex is working out great. Love these guys. The mechanics were listening to carnival music one day, and then later on, classical guitar. They are very eclectic to say least, but ANYONE who listens to music like that while working cars, I call that magical. ...Legendary.

I have been bringing my jeep here for repairs for years. Brakes, oil changes, battery change, tune-ups. Jeff will not rip you off. He has always given me options "ok cheap way" (what I can afford) or "better" (usually what I can't afford). I have heard him argue and haggle with vendors and supplies over prices "You craazzzy, customer not pay that!!"Yes this place can be very busy and parking kinda sucks. Jeff is a nice honest guy. People that have called him "rude" just don't get his humor and lack the patience to wait for service. I would rather wait longer for better, more honest service, than go to the sleazy d-bags that are usually option #2. (just my experience)

Palmer Tires is excellent. My 2007 Toyota Matrix had a computer issue and they were able to fix it. There's nothing they couldn't fix.

The only reason I do not like this place is because of Jeff, the owner. He can be very rude most of the time and say things he shouldn't. When I had my VW, he would always make me feel like I made a bad choice. He thinks everyone should be like him. They are always so busy there so don't go there on the weekends. I recommend Advanced Automotive Care which is 10 mins or less up the same street from Jeff towards Eagle Rock.

This place is a rare find! They are honest and a pleasure to work with. I asked for advice on what is and isn't worth fixing on an old car, and appreciated the thorough and responsible explanations provided. This will be my go to highland park service center!

Drove up with a flat tire. The tire didn't need to be replaced, just a cap. The guy waved me in, so I pulled in. But when I told him I just needed a cap to be replaced, he told me he didn't have the time and told me to drive to.a shop down the street with my flat.Fair enough, I thought. But then I thought, why did he wave me in in the first place then? I realized that when he found out that it would just be a quick, low cost fix, it wasn't worth his time, so he told me to get lost.

Only mechanics who have worked on my car since I bought it 3 years ago. I dropped $600 on a new shifting cable. It s been 7 months. Check engine light back on and temperature gauge not working. These are the wires to my temp sensor. Looks like a perfect snip to me that finally broke apart. Pink looks like it s about to break next.

Amazing service!My car s battery died in storage, so I need to change it myself. They made sure that the battery model I wanted was correct, and even let me borrow a 10mm socket. Now that s service!

Very helpful been here twice now. Even when it was busy, they still managed to help me out on time. That's huge because not a lot shops do that. This place is very close to where I live so that's a plus. I went to a tire shop that's in cypress/glassel park and well, didn't do it for me. Anyway this guys will really help you out right out the gate.

I check in at 8 am and in ~15 mins fixed my flat tire. They cleaned the punctured hole with the rasp tool put a sealant and plugged and re-aired the four tires. They did a good job and price is affordable $.
