This was the first time I brought my car to a mechanic outside the dealership. I was informed by my 20+ year Mt. Washington resident neighbor that Mr. Lizarde was the most trusted and valued mechanic in the neighborhood. He was more than that! He drove around in my car with me to help diagnose the problems, reviewed my quotes from dealership and other mechanics and gave me honesty I as a woman have not experienced in this business! He cut my repair costs from $1,000 to $300! I was so happy I brought him plants from my garden (he loves succulents) and I have recommended him to all my female friends! He's like going to see your grandfather who's also an awesome mechanic! I have moved to San Francisco but will be saving my car repairs for when I am in town visiting LA... He's just that good and trustworthy. He even checked my car over for free the day before I moved. You just can't find people like him anymore. What a jem on Figueroa. I am a Honda Fit 2011 owner and my neighbor was a Audi owner so he can do a wide range of vehicles!

Its overpriced in the sense that they are not putting quality parts but instead AutoZone parts which are the cheapest and most unreliable parts. One of the "mechanics " claims he is an "expert" on timing chain and the other "mechanic" is an expert on the "serpentine belt". Well they stripped one of the bolts that goes on my belt tensioner. I went back and the "mechanic" did not want to admit his error. You're best bet is to just go to the dealership and get your car serviced there unless you want to get into problems with these thiefs.

Very friendly environment friendly staff and alot of service in one shop. Get ur car polished there too. Best prices n town. Gustavo' has a family man background, unliked a business man. They work with u. If ur on a buget. Try them u see u found ur auto machanic shop and more.

My Honda Fit completely shut down (the car stolen mode was triggered and the fuel pump was broken) I brought it over thinking it was just a fuel pump. After not being able to start it after the fix, Lizarde towed it to the Honda dealer to get it completely reprogrammed and ended up having to replace the cars computer. They never charged me for any of the extra services and extra time they spent fixing it. Also they found a used part that would have costed me $800 for $150. Afterwards they showed me all the parts they had to replace from my car.He even offered to just charge me the original quote of just the fuel pump because it took extra time to fix with the cars computer. Which means he would have lost money on the job.Always responded quickly on the phone and was honest about the situation. Would highly recommend to anyone out there.
