Best shop ever I went to their neighbor Guadalajara auto shop prior and they told me I had a catalytic converter problem and I should sell the car. So I went to la Maquina muffler shop trying to get a quote on a catalytic convertible and yet he told me that my catalytic was not the problem an it was a ec module in which glass got stuck he took my car 30 mins inspected it and removed that piece and provide pics for proof and sent me on my way free of charge. Most honest mechanic other would use your naiveness to their advantage and capitalize. But not la Maquina high integrity if you want to know what wrong with your car exactly go here.

THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING. JEFF IS AMAZING. HANDS DOWN INCREDIBLE and WONDERFUL human being. We brought our classic 88 Chevy G20 van here that was having a very very complicated problem that so many mechanics couldn t solve with the idle shutting the van off if the air conditioner was running. We tried fixing and replacing so many parts both ourselves and running things by other mechanics who tried one thing and wouldn t take it on any longer when it didn t work. A few mechanics just said that s the way this van is! . We were selling the van and already had a buyer, but couldn t get this issue to fix. On a whim, and based off of a great feeling I had after calling La Maquina from Google and talking with Jeff on the phone we left the van with Jeff as a last attempt to solve the issue. With a little patience on our end Jeff and his team went in and meticulously cleaned and repaired all the complications adding to the issue (leaking vacuum hoses, welded a crack in a main bracket) and found the culprit in a rusted distributer and TBI. It solved EVERYTHING. The van runs EXCELLENT and he charged an INCREDIBLY FAIR and affordable price for all the work they did. They even went to a junk yard to source parts for us when the part wasn t available anywhere else. Jeff is a great human and truly took care of us and took on this classic vehicle. It took some patience from us in giving them space to truly source the problem and I m so glad we trusted Jeff and his team.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Coming here was the best decision I ever made. My exhaust pipe came off its brackets and started dragging while I was on the highway late one night. After calling the mechanic I'd once used for an oil, he told me to find a muffler shop.La Maquina happened to be the closest to me (important since the dragging pipe was hampering my ability to accelerate) and also happened to be the best car service I've ever received.I called ahead to explain the problem and they said they could see me right away that morning (a Friday). Roger, the owner, quickly identified the problem (a broken flex pipe) and offered to attempt to weld the exhaust pipe to the existing flex pipe for $350. He noted that if the welding didn't work, they'd have to replace the whole system, which would have been far more expensive. They told me they'd call me in 3-4 hours.True to their word, I received a call saying my car was ready to be picked up.The welding worked (shout out the welder, Alex!) and Roger even replaced the flex pipe without charging more than we'd agreed. Now, after years of my car being so loud it sets off neighborhood car alarms, it's quieter, smoother, and quicker than it has been in years.I will be coming to La Maquina for as long as I drive cars in LA.Couldn't be happier!Services: Exhaust, Auto exhaust system repair

My car was making a very loud noise on the right side like something was broken. So I stopped at La Maquina and I was very well attended! They found out it was just a loose piece. they tightened it up and they didn't charge me anything! I highly recommend their service. they are very nice people! Thank you!

I have Brought several vehicles here this time my mini with a manual tranmission, needed to have clutch replaced. I came in thinking it was only a hose needing to be replaced and ended up needing a new radiator and a fixed bumper (at no additional cost)!! They worked hard and went above and beyond what I expected! Thank you Jeff and Rogelio!! The guy with the beard and glasses is disrespectful and unknowledgeable. I came here because my car was making a slight noise from the suspension system and wanted to know if he had an audio diagnostic toolkit to detect where the noise was coming from. Just by getting there he already gave me a bad vibe. He did not want to attend me without putting on a mask while he was not wearing one himself. If you're going to tell others what to do at least put the example first. Aside from that, he disrespected me when I asked him if had an audio diagnostic tool. The guy told me that "no they do not have that and I think you are talking about a stethoscope which doctors use." From this comment I knew he did not know what he was talking about and it showed his lack of knowledge as a mechanic. The bearded guy with glasses needs to work on his manners and not be so hypocritical and disrespectful. He should also educate himself on the devices that mechanics use to detect where noises come from. Good thing though is that around this area there are many auto repair shops and they are more friendly and welcoming than this shop.

It is so obvious that those new 5 star reviews are fake and made by new profiles after someone leaves a bad review. If you leave a bad review on the shop, the owner will comment back denying you ever came. I think it would be better if this shop provided better service and not be so rude to its customers. Instead of denying your bad service, own up to it and find a way to provide better service and be more friendly.

Rogelio and his team are top notch in honesty and service.I have an older car and Rogelio fixed the necessary repairs and didn't try to sell me other unnecessary repairs like the other mechanics I used in the past. I have been sending friends and family to Rogelio for any car repairs they may need. La Maquina is my permanent place to take my 1999 Jeep Cherokee- my jeep only wants Rogelio and his team to work on her... :-) :-)

$125 per hour, wants to take 2.5 hours to take off 10 bolts.. very rude as well* Update: ReplyProfessionalism is appreciated. However I was rudly hung up on as I tried to explain the exhaust is custom and only flex pipe with no muffler that is very light and simple to remove. These were friendly tips to give a picture of the situation to encounter when receiving my vehicle and business. I understand there is a process in the replacement of this particular Driveshaft, however understanding there is custom work done to simplify this work are details that are helpful. I never had the chance to fully explain as the price went up randomly.

My son removed my transmission on my Fiat and was unable to to re install it. La Maquina not only re installed it, but at a reasonable price and did it in only 3 days!! I will only use La Maquina for all my cars from now on!Service: Transmission repairService: Transmission repair

HELLO FROM THE OTHERSIDE!I took my Tahoe there for complete tune-up and oil change very reasonable price! It is good and clean facility customer service very well! Even though I made them feel uncomfortable because I and so very tall and big I truly apologize for making them feel like midgets but our Father God bless me to find this place so I'm happy!

Taken my vehicles here before, unfortunately this shop and the mechanics have done me wrong. They charged $400 for "replacing" a bad ignition switch. Now I had to buy the part from the dealer for $400. Money was no issue here. But thats a ripp off if you don't do the job right and you glue the parts back together. Im sure the shop will deny ever working on my car. I only brought my vehicles here because I was too busy at the time. Now I have plenty of time, Im replacing the whole ignition switch myself. Steer clear from this shop!! I will also let the other shop that recommended me to go here, that it is not a good and honest mechanic shop.
