Horrible service. Not even worth giving one star.My appointment was 1:20 p.m. for a recall check-up, but ended up getting it done at 4 p.m. All posted reviews are correct. Super disorganized and slow. I wasted my time waiting in the customer's lounge on such a valuable weekend. What is the point of making an appointment?

What A Disappointing Day at Kia Service. Is this why everyone is leaving 1 stars? If I could, I d give no stars at all. My time at Kia Service was a real letdown. They promised to fix the Forte theft recall problem in an hour, but it took them more than 4 hours. How can you get the time so wrong? It made me wonder if they really knew what they were doing. But that s not all. They spelled my name wrong on the paperwork, not once or twice, but four times. I started to think they were doing it on purpose. With a big lawsuit happening right now, it felt like they were trying to mess up my records. All in all, I m not happy with the service I got from Kia. They wasted my time and didn t seem to care about getting things right. As a customer, I expected better. Kia, you really need to improve. What a let down.

Go somewhere else!!!! I dont mind the wait. My appointment was at 7:20 got here on time and was seeing until 8:33. That's not the problem after waiting almost 2hours for an oil change and tire balance . I left and my tire almost came out my car made an ugly noise and wobbled. Asked to speak to management and was told they were in a meeting! This is a safety issue!!!

Now I see why so many bad reviews 2.6 out of 5.I never had this bad of an experience at any car service or dealership. I have owned all kinds of cars such as Mercedes, BMW, Mazda, Toyota, Chrysler. Last week I took the car as it was burning oil, like a quart every week. So I took it for the inspection based on the suggestion from a Kia salesman. The salesman was positive that since the car is under power train warranty and it's below 100k miles they will cover the cost of the inspection and can also cover your repairs. They might need to change the engine. So I trusted him and took it to the service across the street from sales. They told me it will take 48 hrs and didn't offer any courtesy vehicle. Anyways I dropped it and got a call from them 3 days later saying that they need to replace gdi gasket. I told them that several Kia owners in their forum and blog have complained on this issue and replacing gasket won't help. Not only they didn't listen on this and instead invoiced me $239 for an inspection that was delayed for another day. The manager was so rude when I told him that I was told that the inspection will be covered under warranty. He denied that and talked in the rudest way possible not even my parents would talk to me like that who basically have given me birth and brought me up. I'm never gonna come here again, they didn't help me with anything and offered me $70 discount but still went in to charge me as they hold my car. The car has factory issue and they won't hear even they knew that because they said we will check after replacing gasket for another 1000 miles if the car is still burning oil. I would never recommend to go there waste your time money and have no result as well.

You can never get a smooth appointment here. Either you re waiting an extra hour even with an appointment or you re told to come in and get your car but the wait another 30 minutes while they find your actual car. Don t even get me started on how they ll address you only as a woman just because you have long hair.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Had an appointment at 9:40 waited 90min before anyone talked to me. Then they said they didn t have the part that I literarily made the appointment for, had to wait more time to see if they could even get anyone to come that day. Kept asking for an update and everyone kept saying they don t know and shrugging me off. I ended up leaving because clearly they don t know what is going on.

INCOMPETENT service center at KIA DTLA. Should have read all the numerous negative reviews before scheduling an appointment.Wasted 2 days of my time and the Service Center did absolutely nothing on BOTH days to address the issue.Booked an appointment for Tueday morning with a VERY detailed description that the 12V battery of my PHEV could not hold a charge above 40% and showed a bad state of health when performing a battery test at home.Received a condescending call from Mike Avenecian (advisor) telling me that the reason my battery was not functioning was because I was using a faulty EV charger, and it was my fault. - My EV battery was never the issue, nor did I have issues charging. I did not need my EV battery charged, as i charge it at home with no issues. Had ANY of their staff read the reason I was taking my car in, they would have seen that the issue was the 12V battery (why a service center doesn't know the difference between EV battery and 12v battery is beyond me). I had even texted the technicians throughout the day to emphasize (again) that my 12V battery was the concern. When I came to pick up my car before closing, I waited nearly half an hour just to speak to Eric Espinoza (manager), who revealed that the 12V battery was NEVER checked the entire time my car was on their lot. Upon calling a technician to grab a battery tester, it was even more apparent that none of them knew what they were doing, and the 12V battery had not been tested the entire time my car was in their possession. None of them even knew where the 12V battery was located on my car, and I had to speak up to direct them to it.Eric instructed me to schedule another appointment (after wasting an entire day of my time) and guaranteed they would have my issue fixed. He gave me his card and told me to call him the next day that my car is in the shop so he could personally ensure the problem would be appropriately addressed.Took my car in again a day later and attempted to contact Eric while my car was in their shop since 7AM. After leaving NUMEROUS voicemail and being blatantly ignored, I decided to travel back to pick up my vehicle before the shop closed. When I arrived, again, nothing had been done to my car the entire day. They had finally decided to test my battery because I was already there to pick up my car. Upon FINALLY testing my battery, the state of health of my battery was 37% and couldn't hold a charge. Eric and the entire staff were zero help, and I'm still left with a faulty 12V battery. The paid KIA Connect app gives constant notifications that the battery is too low to even send commands to the car (rendering the subscription useless). If you want to waste your time with an unqualified service center and incompetent staff, you've found the right place. Definitely the last KIA we'd purchase because of Eric and Mike.

Horrible. Horrible Service. I had made an appointment for 11am but left until 3pm. They let me know ahead of time or at the beginning of the service it would ONLY take 1-1hr and a half, it actually took more than 4 hours later waiting in their uncomfortable waiting room for them to finish up the service . Way too long wait time, no friendly service, doesn t even seem busy yet they re too slow. PLUS!! They wanted to charge me extra, more than what they actually did , keep a look out on your paperwork for that too. Wouldn t recommend, so my take is to go somewhere else for service . Hope that helps. Save your time, save your energy and your hard earned money.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Awful! Do Not Go Here. Lots of broken promises and very unorganized. Told me my car would be ready in 48 hours (broken windshield) took over a week. I even arrived at service center after being told my car was ready to find out that was not true. My relationship with Kia was stellar before this. What a disappointment. On a side note there was one rep by the name of Eric who understood my frustration and did his best to help. 8 days to repair one window. Was charged 600 dollars. Lacked communication and gave a lot of false information.

It doesn t matter if you have an appointment or if you get here with enough time. They take cars at random, you will wait close to 40 minutes just to drop off. Be aware and take the day off if you re thinking it s going to be quick.. it won t.

Very bad attendance. No work ethics at all . Even the receptionist security at the entrance challenges you not to park here at all . Even if you are picking up parts in 10 minutes . You talk to anyone inside asking directions or where is ?? No body answers you

Stay away. Bought new Sportage last year. Once out the door you're on your own. Service team not helpful; a bit of an attitude.

I have no idea what happened to the outstanding customer service they had. The experience has made me change my mind in not getting another Kia.1. Took my truck in due to fuel leak which was covered by warranty. It took a whole week with no loaner to receive the part and get it fixed. Was not given a rental and no rental discount. It was an inconvenience taking uber to places and transferring car seats for my twins. Not to mention loading and unloading my daughters wheelchair as well.2. When I picked up the truck a week later in the morning. I was told the wait was going to be 45 minutes because supposedly it was parked at another site. 40 minutes later, I was told the driver would arrive in 1 minute. Only to witness the driver walk to the corner and get my truck that was parked the whole time there!!!3. Lastly, the price difference for their parts is exaggerating when it comes to ordering online and pick up vs. Walk-ins. The part was $30 online if we placed the order then pick up. But since we were already there, the price jumped to $70! This taking advantage of the consumer tactic has forced us to support other businesses besides this location.

had no idea this dealer was such a lemon. while i was there, i overheard a salesman discussing an issue they had with a customers account and he suggested that they could photoshop something to get the document approved and passed along. you can bet i got out of there quickly

Took my car in with a specific technical issue that I know has been fixed on my friend's same year/make/model. 4 days later (without a loaner car) all they had done was a soft reset to the system, and believe it or not...the issue is now happening *twice* as much as it did before I turned it in. They said it had been fixed, but must not have driven in it for more than 5min.Now I'm having to take it in all over again to a different Kia location (Downtown said they wouldn't get me a loaner car), so I'll spend more money on Ubers, wasted time, etc.

The reviews speak for themselves, terrible shop. I was forced to tow my car to this dealership, after my car got stolen. The initial service was pretty good, with my representative being very responsive. When I checked in on my car, it was impossible to get someone on the line. The phone center even hung up on me twice. They did fix my car, at an above average rate, and it would be good to go for another couple of years. A week later, I found out they didn't tighten my belt enough, so I needed to go in and get it tightened. A month later, my car broke down in the middle of the freeway, because the cooling hose hadn't been attached properly. I will never go back to this place.Update 2023: 7 months later when I visited my regular shop, I found out they hadn t even replaced the belt they charged me for. Place is a total scam.

My experience was horrible. If i can give them zero stars i would. I went for a simple oil change with an appointment and it took them 3 hours! When i was told it would only take one hour to an hour and a half , the most. The guy that helped me , had bad customer service. His name was Norbert. When i went to ask for a update he basically dismissed me. I had to ask another kia person if they could help me. Then when i was going to pay the cashier was to busying talking to someone else behind the desk instead of paying attention to what she was doing. Never going back there again

Service on car was great, communication was lacking for me. Felt as if I didn t call to check on my car an hour after quoted time no one would have reached out to me. I reiterate that I was happy with the actual service on car. The customer service left little to be desired.

I ve had so many issues here over the years. Phone quotes that change on arrival, appointments are worthless, makes it a pain to take care of recalls, getting a ride is ridiculous and the last time I dropped in for a mileage verification I waited 30 minutes and they said they didn t even know how to do a mileage verification Turns out it was faster to drive from DTLA to Car Pros Kia in Glendale and back than to wait for them to figure it out.

The worst possible service experience. I have not seen my car in a month, and am stuck in a loaner that is not even close to my vehicle (I have an EV6, they gave me a base model Soul). I took it in two months ago, was told they needed to "escalate the case." I need a car, so I asked for loaner. Was told I would have to essentially do all the legwork in securing one from the Manager myself. When I finally did that, I was told the loaner would be ready for when I dropped the car off. Instead, I waited two hours for a Kia Soul that I have now been stuck with for a ridiculous amount of time.I have tried to work with corporate and my service advisor on the issue with my car (AC problem that is a known issue), but have received nothing but evocations, delays and more frustration. My next step, unfortunately, will probably be to contact a lemon law lawyer, because even though I liked the car (aside from the AC issue), it is hard to imagine ever trusting Kia or the DTLA dealership again.

Waiting time is the least of the problems:1. Wrong amount of oil was put - 5 quarts instead of 7. Yet it still ended up overfilled - did they not flush the old oil completely, idk;2. Wrong service was performed - the car is 18k miles but they performed a 10k one;3. Tires were underinflated and they didn't do anything about it, even though the complementary inspection mentions it. Same about washer fluid. Also, no inspection report was provided. My best guess they didn't do anything from the check list;4. Made the wiper blades issue worse - the initial issue was that the arms were flipped, so the driver one was on the passenger side and vice versa. But they couldn't figure it out - just threw away more expensive blades and replaced them with cheaper ones, putting them on incorrect sides. What that practically means is that during rain, half of the driver side windshield wouldn't be wiped correctly and you can't see well through it;5. Inner passenger door handle was falling off and that's under factory warranty - I was promised to be contacted in 4 weeks to come back for a fix. It's been 3 months since then.I understand work can take more time than estimated, but the above isn't acceptable. They simply aren't competent to perform any service.

How important is a car in daily life? A car is as important as one's feet. They don't inform me about the current situation, and even if I make a phone call, they don't respond. They don't even provide rental cars. It's really disappointing to see a business operating so poorly and unprofessionally.Service: Electrical repairService: Electrical repair

When I read the reviews, I was thinking how bad could it really be?? Yeah it s as bad as they say please just go somewhere else. Me and the worker agreed that I would get a 30k mile service and fluid exchange and he d call me when the car is ready in 2/3 hours. I call him 5 hours later for an update, and he doesn t answer. I then immediately get a text saying my car is ready lol. When I get there I find out that they only did a 15k service job and then it takes that 45 minutes to get my car from whatever lot they had parked it in. Avoid this place please.

Bad service. The waiting time is too long... And their service people are rude. And on top of that! They could not find my car problem and my car stopped again! I went to the Alhambra Service Center. They treat me as their customer. Alhambra service center saved me and my KIA..

Bottom line. Do NOT get your car serviced at Kia dtla. Poor customer service. Especially with Christine Romero. She is rude with attitude. If your car is under warranty, they take months to fix simple things. Hang up in your face. You have to hunt them down to get updates about your vehicle. Don't offer you a courtesy car. Don't offer you a voucher for an rental car. They triple charge you for parts. My car has been in the shop for weeks just for a starter. If I could give them a "0" star, I would. Especially for hiring Christine Romero. Parts that you can buy at Reilly's for $100. They charge you $400 for. I guess they can get away with it because there are the only Kia dealership within a 20/25 mile radius of downtown.

Sometimes it takes a while to get help from someone and you keep sitting in your car until then. But overall a good experience, usually takes about 2 hours or so for regular oil change and maintenance.

I would not advice anyone from going to this place. I had my car serviced here twice. The first one they forgot to check the tires. The second one they forgot to check to battery which I reminded them to do and when they did, they just told me oh you need it replaced like I didn't remind them before it started. Worst place to have your car checked or serviced. They make you wait but don't really do anything.

STAY AWAY. Been taking my car for services since I purchased the car in 2016 as part of service I purchased with the car. Will be canceling the remaining oil changes. They are very rude and unprofessional. They'll argue with you and with themselves infront of customers. Takes minimum 4hrs to get a simple oil change, you will have make line on the street blocking traffic in dangerous situation. The last straw for me was them stealing the change from my car and thought i wasn't going to do anything about it. Made them aware and ofcourse they denied it. They list my business over $1 in quarters they stole out of my car. It's NOT worth it. They're NOT worth it.

I always make an appointment. They rarely take my car in on time. Also I have to wait in line anyways and people are taken as they come in. What's the point of having an appointment? Also, one time I brought my car in for regular maintenance and it failed a recall. Took them a month to get my car back. During this time I did not receive appropriate updates on when my car would be ready. Initially told same day, then over the weekend, then within a week. Whole process took an entire month and I never got a rental or replacement car.
