I have a 2012 VW beetle. I've had my car for a long time and have always been diligent about maintenance. Two months ago, a dealership recommended that I repair a number of "issues" with my vehicle which totaled around $2600. Without any photo evidence or explanation, I opted to get a second opinion by Mauricio. I am SO relieved that I did. He and his team did a thorough multi-point inspection (which I was not charged for). Mauricio was able to explain in detail what I needed and why I didn't need most of the other recommended services. I ended up paying only $500 for brand new front brakes (I was quoted $800 by the dealership). Thanks to Mauricio, my car now drives like butter.I should also note that Mauricio is incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and welcoming. As a woman, I felt that he was very respectful and did not talk down to me at all. If you are a woman and/or have a German vehicle - go see Mauricio!

Took my car to repair an electrical issue and they did it very well and fast!!! Very good prices and excellent service. Mauricio is very diligent and knowledgeable. Will be coming back soon!

Hands down, the best I ve encountered in LA. Son-in-law took the VW to PepBoys received an estimate of $1800+. I in turn took it to Jomag - repair bill was less than $200. Runs like it s 2014! There is reason independent shops are in business !! Highly recommend. They are accommodating and honest! You can t go wrong.

I have been coming here for 3 years. Great service and quality, and very fair prices.Mauricio is very knowledgeable in all things VW. If you have a VW, I would highly recommend Jomag.

This place is absolutely wonderful! I cannot recommend enough. Maurizio is very knowledgeable and efficient with diagnostics & repairs, but he's also incredibly kind. This is an excellent shop. The owner and his son are friendly, super knowledgeable, and honest. They know cars inside and out, especially German brands. I've come in expecting major work only for them to find a loose connector or wiring probably, saving me hundreds if not thousands. Because people swear by them, the shop is busy, so do your best to get your car in early.

I really dumbly procrastinated my smog check/figuring out why my check engine light came on/finishing renewing my car registration on my 2002 VW Beetle until days before a road trip planned months prior... dropped off my car Wednesday morning and they ran diagnostics, replaced my oxygen filter, and got her smogged for me, so I could pick up the car Thursday after work. The quick turnaround and just having them take care of it all for me was a huge load off, and they didn t try to tack-on any other things wrong w my car, like other places I ve been. Mauricio was nice and straight forward. Ran me 500, which seems pretty median out here. Other than forking over the chunk of change, the whole experience was pain/stress free.

Jomag is celebrating 27 years in business. You can understand why when you meet Mauricio. The man exemplifies everything you would hope for with car trouble.By the way he was diagnosing my bus's motor issue, it's as thoroughly thought out as if he was treating me as the patient.I suppose when you walk away from the shop thinking this is more of a car hospital than an auto repair place, you know you're in good hands!

I am writing from Ottawa, Ontario Canada. My 2003 VW Beetle (out in Los Angeles - for my daughters Internship) was quoted $3000 + tax, at a VW shop for a coolant leak, I was ready to have the car scrapped before a friend of mine in LA, suggested that I contact Jomag, because of the great reviews, that were found online about the place.I called Jomag and spoke to the Mauricio (the owner), he said how can the dealership quote on the repair when they haven't even replaced the hose that was leaking, so I had the car towed to his place for a second opinion, and authorized him to replace the bad hose and retest, after a few days of waiting for the part, I called back and was told that it was fixed. Final price $400 (taxes included).Because of Mauricio (the owner) I was able to save my car from being scrapped and was able to drive it back to Canada.Thank You Mauricio

He worked on my VW for years and was always honest and kind. As a single woman it s hard to find mechanics who will be honest with you and he always has been about what I do and don t need to fix & what the best actions are for troubleshooting. Truly would give ten stars if I could.

I was told via word of mouth that this is a good place to bring my VW, and it is! I have a 1992 Wolfsburg Cabriolet and after taking my car to 3 different mechanics he diagnosed the issue quickly and the fix was suprisingly cheaper than I expected. He's been fixing VW's for long enough to develope wisdom that younger mechanics can't really obtain because of computer diagnostics.

If you take your classic bug to be fix here make shure you lock it up right after its home my bug was stolen 7 days after the repairs where dun the owner Mauricio dose good work and priced right but his workers not to shure thay can be trusted because the person who stoled my bug new inside info of my bug just be carful becuse my bug mine's alot to me for it to be lost i had a tracker and found it 3 hours later in rose hill pojects fyi lock up your bug
