Hollywood Mechanic is the main-man when it comes to Ferrari PTU problems. Very informative and detailed with servicing and repairing the PTU unit. Thanks to him, we are literally saving 10's of thousands by having Hollywood Mechanic install his upgraded kit. I remove the unit, send it in, and have him upgrade the weakened clips and shift fork and anything else that needs attention. I cannot get individual parts from the dealer, and buying the whole unit new is ridiculously expensive! It's cheap insurance at a service level. He also has great videos (how we found him) explaining what fails and why it's important to address issues before it becomes a catastrophic failure. It's a plague that is finally being addressed for the enthusiasts at heart.

Micah is brilliant. I was incredibly fortunate to be connected with Micah of Hollywood Mechanic after cracking the oil cooler on my BMW M4. I utilized Micah for my 2016 Lamborghini Huracan and let me just tell you wow. I took my Lamborghini to another shop to do a routine oil service for which they accidentally drained the transmission fluid and then proceeded to overfill my engine with oil. I called Micah in the time of desperation for which he sent a tow truck to have my Lamborghini picked up and taken directly to his shop. He dropped everything he was doing to work on my car and make sure that it was back up and running same day. He diagnosed the issue and came to find out that the shop accidentally drained my transmission fluid and not the engine oil. Micah then drained the engine oil did a full transmission service topped off both fluids changed both filters and only charged me for the oil change on the Huracan. What an incredible guy who works with so much honesty and attention to detail. I took my 458 to get a full PPF and when I got it back the AC was blowing hot and the outside temperature was reading 6 when it s 100 outside. It s Sunday morning dealers and most shops are closed. I found this place and called at 9:30 and spoke the Micah. As I stated to tell him what s going on he knew right away what the issue was and advised what needs to be done. I work on cars so I was able to do it at home and fix the issue. It was exactly what Micah said it would be. Took me 45 min and the car is back to normal. I am blown away with how humble and honest he was. Other places will see what the car is and it s summer with no AC all they see is $$$$. Thank you Micah for you honesty and help. I have used him in the past. He didn t charge me for a quick diagnostic he did and didn t take me for a fake ride on things to do on my car to scam me so I saved his number in my phone.I had this hot ride and the engine wouldn t start. He FaceTimed me from his personal phone to walk me through how to get it to start and it worked. This took an hour!!! Even though, again, he didn t charge me I sent him a check because integrity like that is so rare to find. He was so patient and kind with me. I HIGHLY recommend his shop for anything car related. He s so knowledgeable and honest. Rare combo these days!

I was having transmission issues with my Ferrari FF. Initially I went to the dealership and they weren t helpful and their knowledge was subpar which didn t make me comfortable at all. So I looked up mechanics near me and The Hollywood Mechanic came up. I dealt with Micah the entire time and he reassured me every step of the way. His knowledge of exotic vehicles was enough to make me trust him handling my Ferrari. His customer service and expertise was so immaculate that I will never go anywhere else when I m having issues with my vehicles. Thank you Micah for everything! I will definitely recommend you to anyone I know that needs your services.

I was lucky enough that Micah was willing to help me out on very short notice with my Alfa Romeo 164, a considerably lesser caliber car than his usual projects. On a trip to LA from San Francisco my coolant reservoir formed a leak and he was able to get it patched up well enough for me to make the drive back without any problems. While looking around under the hood he also gave me a few preventative maintenance suggestions, tightened some loose clamps, and replaced a fuel line that was developing dry rot.I cannot recommend this shop enough, if I lived in LA I would try to get onto Micah's client list.

I haven't met all the mechanics in LA, but I would bet that you could not find one that is better. Micah is as good as it gets. His mechanical knowledge of cars and the systems within is incredible. Furthermore, he is a master electrician, capable of diagnosing even the most complex electrical problems. And to cap off the trifecta, he's a straight-shooter, as honest as they come. Finding all that in a single auto mechanic is unheard of. He does not disappoint. I consider myself lucky to call this guy my mechanic.

This guy charged me $14,000 to chase the problems on my vintage car. He kept the car for 6 months and suddenly didn't want to continue to work on the car - he then said he wanted me to remove my car in its non-fixed condition - and started charging me $100 a day in storage. His biggest failure is his lack of customer service - combined with the fact that he also didn't want to take responsibility of his inability to fix the car.Stay away from this guy - go to a true specialist - not someone that will work on every high end car under the sun. I have used Micah "The Hollywood Mechanic" as my personal mechanic for the past few years. I was initially referred to him because I was told he was very familiar with my 2004 Range Rover. Anyone that knows the Range Rover knows it constantly needs service after several years of ownership. Micah handled so many issues for me from transmission work, to cooling systems, to power steering, and the list goes on and on. Micah has single handedly kept my Range Rover on the road and I am so appreciative of that. He has also done work on my BMW M3s, a volkswagen, toyota, and mercedes. He is knowledgeable, professional, and honest... three things everyone needs in a mechanic. I have also been witness to his work on high end sports cars; Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, etc. and have been very impressed. Can't go wrong with Micah.
