I would not recommend this place to anyone that has a Jeep. I was in desperate need of getting a car fixed so I trusted him to fix it. The car was fixed about being in the shop for 1 week.Three days later the car completely died and I reached out to the owner to ask if he can see what went wrong with the car he FIXED, he responds back that there s nothing he could do about it.$800 down the drain and the car isn t working at all. Steer far away from this mechanic people!!!This is the right mechanic...I was just late to give you a review. This happen a year ago.BE AWARE SHOPPERS!!!!

This is the best repair shop in the entire city of LA. When I moved here I was worried about finding a good mechanic since having a working car is very important. I hoped to not have any issues with my car but then my alternator and fuel pump both went out within months of my move. I found this shop and now it is the only one I will ever go to in LA. They provide great work at the most affordable price you can find!

I wish I could give this shop more than five stars. I took my 2005 Yukon Denali to get diagnosed. It had a leak. Eddy called me within an hour to let me know that my power steering system had multiple leaks. They ended up replacing the lines, the pump and the gearbox. I was charged a fraction of the price that I would have paid at the dealership. Eddy and his team had my SUV ready to go the by the next day. They are very professional and honest, they explain everything that's going on with your car in great detail. They break it down so any person can understand, even if your car knowledge is limited. If money is tight, they are partnered with a financing company that will give you zero APR if paid within a certain time. I wish that I would have found this shop before, not as I'm moving out of L.A. I highly recommend Eddy and this shop.

Took my car in early in the morning, Eddy was quick to attend me and diagnosed any problems that were going on in the moment and suggested any fixes to do in the moment before they became a problem (examples: finding a puncture in a hose and fixing the same day) He estimated it would take about two hours to complete but finished an hour and a half later. The best mechanic shop I've ever been to. Never taking my car anywhere else for something they can do here. The pricing has always been good, the people here know what they're doing, and going to eddie feels like he's a family member or one of the homies who happens to also be a mechanic. I don't even have any negative things to say about the Hilario shop.

I came in for the first time and asked a question concerning my car's battery icon that came on about a week and a half ago. And the guy, Eddie, was so kind enough to check out my car's battery and alternator. Turns out the band on the alternator is bad and so was my (just recently replaced alternator). I was writing this review because I hardly know much about cars but I feel a trust and genuine concern for their customers at this mechanic place. I will definitely be coming back for other car concerns. Eddie is the owner and he is VERY knowledgeable on cars. The price is also worth the customer care!I'm basing off my analysis on how he, Eddie, describes the mechanical process of my alternator. And he was very patient with all the follow up questions I had. He will go the extra mile to help you mechanically. And while I may not have the best experience with auto mechanics, at most can say that I have NEVER recieved customer service like his.Side note, he'll make you laugh. It feels good to be able to connect with a local mechanic like a good friend. Hands down worth the 5 stars.

Brought in my Dodge Neon to replace the cylinder head, timing belt, water pump and accessory belts.I can not recommend this place enough, Eddie is the true definition of what all shops should aspire to provide when it comes to customer service.Eddie always picked up the phone whenever I had a question and he happily answered all of them, which really made the experience all the better. Price was also very fair for the work I had done. He took me through the process and showed me photos of various stages throughout the repair which I also really appreciate. Now I ve got my car back 3 days later and it runs better than it ever has before which is a true testament to the work these guys do. Anyone in need of a mechanic do yourself a favor and call Hilario auto repair. you ll thank me later, trust me!Thank a lot Eddie!!

The mechanics here are the best! They are very knowledgeable and caring - they fixed the issue my car was having and let me know what I can do to prevent further problems in the future. Service was quick and everyone was very welcoming. Honestly the best mechanic I ve ever been to. Eddie is the best! He took my car in last minute to change my breaks and was finished in less than an hour and He always gives you good deals. I never trusted any mechanics but this place is legit! They really try to help you and I m 100% satisfied. I ve recommended people here and they loved this place.

This review is late but better late than never. My alternator went out a few months ago on a Saturday evening and he was able to take it at the last minute and stayed late to fix it. Eddie is a good man, a honest man and his prices are very reasonable. I would definitely take my car back to his shop. Thanks again bro!

By far the best experience I have had when it comes to car troubles. Eddie and his staff are very professional and friendly. They re great in finding the ideal problem and are very profound in clearly explaining what the issue is and what options are at hand. They repair the car in a timely manner regardless of how major or minor the problem is and are reasonable when it comes to pricing. I HIGHLY recommend coming to Eddie and his staff if you are having any type of car dilemma!

I had my car towed to the business in hopes that all i needed was a simple fix it type job. Thought all i needed was a simple tranaasmission filter change and somwe fluids topped off for my car to be mobie again. But although Eddie , the mechanic, could have simply done the work i asked for and not concerned himself with the fact that it would fully resolve what i was trying to accomplish he didnt. Instead he took the tiime to still top off fluids but run another diagnostic to ensure that this would in fact fix the problem and found out that in fact i actually need a whole new transmission. He could have simply took my money and did the job anyways and not cared about the end result but didnt. I am so appreciative of him going the extra mile and not ripping me off. For that reason if i do happen to replace my transmission or need any future work done on any other vehicles i will definitly be coming straight back here and referring anyone i know in his direction as well. We are really grateful for finding Eddie! It is amazing to find an honest and affordable mechanic in LA. My 20 year old Honda Civic needed a serious repair, but he was able to fix it for less than $100 and it ran without issues another year and a half. We have taken multiple cars to him and are always very happy with the service! Thanks Eddie!

Eddie is an amazing mechanic. He always is available to take my car last minute and has it ready same day. He has fixed a variety of things on my car and I've never have had issues with them. I brought my car into him this morning because the check engine light was on. Turns out I need a new catalytic converter (not surprising given how old my car is). He told me he doesn't do them, but his buddy does. He is willing to drive my car over to him today to have it fixed same day while I'm at work! He's not asking for any compensation for the inspection! If you're looking for a hardworking, honest mechanic, please, bring your car here.

By far the best mechanics I have found around this area. I have to admit I was very skeptical about coming here. I needed a mechanic ASAP because my car was turning off. I went online and came across Hilarios Auto Repair and When I called I explained the situation and Eddie and gave me an honest answer. When I got there he explained everything thoroughly and the price was very reasonable fixed my car in a timely manner and Eddie never insisted on telling me that I needed to change other parts of my car like other mechanics have. I will definitely recommend them and will be coming here from now on!

They do such great service, all of the workers are so nice, amiable and respectful . Their prices are reasonable with quality parts. I went for a brake check up and he didn t just fix that, but he also checked my oils and liquids to make sure they were at the appropriate level. I definitely recommend stopping by:)

Had an awesome experience. My chrysler started steaming brought it in and left it there and recieved a call later the same day and was told my engine was shot. He told me my options right away but I told him I need to speak to my family first. Unfortunately I had a lot going on that week and got caught up and forgot about my car. They charge a storage fee but he was really understanding and didnt make me pay a storage fee. Which I appreciate since my car was no longer functioning. I went back in again later with my friend for her nissan. We had been having transmission issues and a mechanic we normally go to checked it out but that mechanic wouldn't even speak to me about my car and when I finally got him to speak to me about it he wouldnt give me a straight answer and seemed greedy for money. When I brought the nissan to hilario, he right away let me know what was going on by taking a quick look and was kind enough to tell me there was a warranty on my transmission and I could take my car to the dealership and get it replaced for free. I definitely will be going back.

Came here to get my tail light checked out and Eddie helped me out right away. The problem ended up being the light bulb melted the shape of the piece it fits into and Eddie took the whole tail light out and sanded it down to where it will fit a new bulb. Super quick and super friendly ! Saved me some money ! Thanks !
