My opinion is: beware. I wanted to trust this place, but they charged 5 times the hours of labor compared to multiple mechanics online who showed the same sensor replacements on my exact car model. They took advantage because they knew my car was towed there. Other issue was they didn t call me to say my car was already finished Friday afternoon when they were closed Saturday. They did get it done same day which I appreciate, but because of the above violations of my trust, I ll use another shop next time.

They sell awesome cars at fair prices thanks to Tim. Gary himself took care of me when I had issues with my car, and overall these guys are good people who care about the work they do. I was moving to LA from out of town and these guys made it so much easier to get a solid car quickly. If you want a good vehicle that runs well, and worked on by trustwothy mechanics in a timely fashion, look no further, this is it.

What is your most important need when picking a place to work on your car? TRUST! Most places will fix your car, but will all of those places be honest when they tell you what is wrong with your car or truck? I trust Gary's Pit Stop with all of my auto repair needs. You can too! I have been using Gary's Pit Stop for the past 2 years and I couldn't be happier with the service they provide. I have brought many cars to them for both small and big repairs and the team has always been kind and professional. They are truly experts in their field and their work is always top-notch. The team at Gary's Pit Stop is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure my cars are running smoothly. They are always honest and upfront about the work that needs to be done and they never try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs.The prices at Gary's Pit Stop are also very fair and competitive. I have never felt like I was being overcharged for any of the work they have done on my cars. And they are very flexible in terms of scheduling, they always try their best to fit me in even on short notice.In my opinion, Gary's Pit Stop is the best auto repair shop out there. The entire team is excellent and every penny spent there is worth it. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of car repair or maintenance.

Honest and fair. Brought my hyundai in for repair and he took care of it quickly. Part of the problem resurfaced and he took care of it as part of his guarantee on his work.

Gary and his team are the best mechanics on the west side. They only do repairs that are needed...no up charging... no unnecessary repairs.You can bring your own replacement parts and they will install for you.... and not force you to buy parts from their suppliers at inflated prices.... like other repair shops do in the area.They are honest and up front about the work and costs involved. Gary and his team are very professional and treat everybody with courtesy and respect.

Gary and his staff are incredible! I chose to have automotive work done on my car here because other reviewers spoke highly of them. They provided me with updates daily and were honest about the work that needed to be done to my car. I highly recommend Gary's Pit Stop if you need a tuneup or major repairs done to your vehicle.

Highly Recommend - Car Repair *Gary s Pit Stop @ 8131 Lincoln BlvdI ve been a client for years and consistently have had an excellent experience. Gary, Jesse & team always go out of of their way to provide great service above and beyond what is necessary. He s a small business owner that treats you like family. By far the best Car Service on the Westside.I called Gary s pit spot when my car suddenly began acting very strange and malfunctioning, wipers going on their own, screen shut off, every warning light came on, including new ones I ve never seen. Car powered down making it difficult to operate, and engine light came on. It was a little scary. I pulled over immediately and called Gary s Pit Stop. .Fortunately I was very close to Gary s pit stop. Gary was kind enough to drive to my car, inspect it quickly to ensure it was safe to drive the short distance to his shop which Gary did personally. It turns out the water pump broke causing a domino effect of multi-malfunctions causing the alternator to overload which sucked the battery dry. It was a mess for sure.Luckily for me, the talented team at Gary s Pit Stop fixed the car and got me back up and running in no time. I can t say enough for the excellent service that they provide. If ever in need, give them a call or drop on in you ll be greeted with a smile!

They are the best. They are great at fixing all types of cars but if you have a BMW or a Nissan that needs work you can't do any better. Personally, I would not consider taking my car any where else. One morning my 328i would not start, and another BMW Mechanic told me it was going to cost me $2000, after mis-diagnosing the problem. I've never been to Gary's before, but I took a shot with him after reading all the good reviews that he had.He wanted to keep the car for a couple of days, but thoroughly troubleshot the problem correctly, and made the repair with only $400 out of my pocket.I would trust Gary to work on my BMW anytime, and he has now earned my trust as being the only Mechanic for my beemers.His crew is all qualified and certified. Gary is the best!!

The best mechanic I have ever had! Gary really knows & understands BMWs - I had been having the same issue with my 5 series for 2 years & spent thousands of $$s trying to get the problem resolved with no luck & Gary knew right away what the problem was & fixed it finally!! Very reasonable prices too!! So glad I found Gary's I'm a customer for life :)

The best mechanic I've ever been to, and the only place I'll bring my BMW for service as long as he's there! Gary and his workers are honest, thorough and really hard working. I trust them wholeheartedly.

I bought a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta at this location in October 2019 and the car still runs great!! I had to bring it in to replace the air filter box today (January 11, 2021) ...i bought a new one online...Gary swapped it out- free of charge!! Gary and his crew are the best!!Update: After the new air filter box and air filter was installed by Gary...i went home to remove the MAF sensor and clean it with some CRC cleaner...to my surprise...Gary cleaned the MAF sensor...it was spotless!! Wow! That was awesome!!Service: Engine repair

My brother in law, who's in the Auto industry, recommended Gary to me. He's the most honest and knowledgeable mechanic I've ever met. I've been taking my 2001 330ci to him for the past 4 years and couldn't be any happier. I believe that he actually used to work at a dealership and he knows BMW's inside and out. I'll never go anywhere else again. I can't vouch for the other mechanics here, so just make sure you ask for Gary.

I'm a car gal and after moving I'm so grateful to have found an auto shop that treats you like family. Always helpful and easy to understand. Plus you get quality work without being overcharged. Just wonderful! Thank you Jesse and staff!

Honest and reliable. Can't ask more. EDIT. After auditing their estimates I found they were padding their work hours and misdiagnosing problems. They told me to replace my brake booster and a series of other parts and when I got suspicious and bought a copy of the software used by service writers to estimate repair jobs I found they were adding several hours to the jobs and overcharging by a significant amount. When I confronted this behavior I was told I could pick my car up in a tone and manner that was clearly indicative of someone backed into a corner. Good luck with these guys. Better off finding a decent mechanic on Craigslist as it seems most of the shops in this area lack customer service. I m sure if your a sucker they will be nice to you but if you don t like to be suckered stay away.

Thieves. Go somewhere else. They will take your money, but they won t fix your car. Especially Gary the big thief. He will sweet talk you and pretend he s your friend. Don t trust him. I m speaking from experience dealing with these thieves. Spent a lot of money to fix my car only for it to break down again a week later.

Every good thing you've heard about Gary and his crew are true. They're fast. They can handle big jobs. They're honest as as heck, and the pricing is fair. I've been going there since I was in high school.

I can t express how grateful I am for Gary and his team! My clutch broke and they saved me from a very uncomfortable situation. My clutch has never been so smooth and even though it was a rocky road to have it fix, they handled it very professionally. I can t recommend them enough! Thanks again Jessie and Gary

Gary/jessie and the team go above and beyond what i have expected/experienced in my 30+ years of driving with commitment and service to their customers. I can drop my X5 off knowing Im getting the necessary work it needs done by a team of hard working professionals that are fulfilling a passion of their own that you ate fortunate to reap the benefits of. Most of all, you know your getting an honest group of men and a great value! i havent found any other place that comes close...A loyal customer for life...TOBY

Brought our X5 in for a bad oil leak. Dealers wanted $4000, Garys did it same day for $700. have driven many miles since with zero problems. Highly reccomended.

THESE GUYS ARE HUSTLERS. After reading yelp reviews it looks like what happened to me has happened to multiple people. They make an estimate so you bring the car in. They say they'll call you with another one and never do. When you go to pick it up, it's too late the work is done and the price is ridiculously higher than the estimate and does not match the work. DO NOT GO HERE.
