i had a really bad experience at this place for various reasons:1. they kept not being up front about when my car would be done (i was initially told it would be done the next day by 8am, then they delayed it to 3pm, and then it was delayed again to 5:30pm)2. they were not up front about the cost of services. i was told it would cost $250, and they called me when they already started on my car giving some unclear reason as to why it would cost an extra $2003. after i picked it up, it started making a strange sound and i soon started to get an engine overheating warning. i went to a different mechanic to find that my coolant was empty... I brought my car in to replace my brake pads at 2:00 pm on a Friday. When I had scheduled my appointment a week prior, I was told everything would be completed by the end of the day. I waited for over 3.5 hours and had to call to check on the status of my car. My car had not been inspected yet and I was told they would have to keep it overnight. I needed my car the next day so I ended up brining it in on Sunday morning. The technician that was supposed to open the shop did not show up and the next available one wasn't going to come until an hour later. By the end, I felt like my time was wasted only to be told that my brake pads could last til the end of the year. I appreciated the honesty but the amount of time it took for a $10 inspection was not worth it.

Carlos was so kind, professional, and helpful. The team was up front from the start that they wouldn't be able to get to my car until the next day. They called to explain recommended maintenance even tho I only ordered an oil change and weren't pushy at all when I decided to stick with the oil change. Carlos even shared the part numbers I would need if I wanted to purchase the part and install on my own. He was absolutely lovely to work with. Everything was very efficient as well. I was in and out both when I dropped my car off and when I picked it up. This is my second servicing at this Firestone and I will continue coming back. Thanks, Carlos, and the rest of the Santa Monica Blvd location employees!

Had my car towed there but then eventually changed my mind to have it towed closer to home (60 miles north) so I wouldn t have to come back the next day to pick it up. Even though I didn t get any service done, the woman Lolana (I think), was one of the most friendly and polite professionals I ve come across. The service industry is hard and she had a great attitude and helped me smoothly transition my car out of there and gave me a lot of advice.

Made a reservation on Wednesday April 10, 2024 for a Friday 11 am appointment to ensure the oil change to be done. Unfortunately, im waited for 3 hrs and nothing happen. This place is useless to visit for your car needs. I will never going back to these guys again. Worse experience all time in oil change.

Been going there for years and it's disappointing the service I received. I was never called after inspection to get the recommendations for my vehicle. My primary reason for taking it was to get the brakes done and secondary was alignment and tire rotation. 3 hours after dropping off my vehicle, I called to find out the alignment and tire rotation had been completed and that they recommended I change my rear roters and brake pads. I asked them to proceed with changing it as it was the main reason for going. After going back and forth, they agreed to get it completed by COB. When I picked up my vehicle, the guy told me he recommended I change my front brakes as well. I just said thank you and walked out.

We came to change tires on two cars. We had an appointment for the first time slot on a 8 am Sunday morning. They said it will take around 5 hours or more to change the tires because they are back logged. Perhaps they should contact the customer and say there is a big delay before we get there? What is the point of having an appointment if a simple tire change can take 5-6 hours?! Every other time I had an appointment in other shops to change tires everything was completed in less than 2 hours. They kindly agreed to put a rush order on one of the cars, but it still took 3 hours to be completed from the time of the appointment.I got quotes for the tire changes over the phone. However, they wanted to charge more for one of the cars than I was quoted on the phone. We negotiated back the price to what was quoted...However, why are they trying to charge more than the price they told me themselves over the phone?!The next day when I went to pick up the other car, the guy did not know neither which one was my key nor which was my car. He asked is this your key? Is that your key? Is this your car? A professional shop should have an organized list of which car and key belongs to which customer. I could totally have left with another car if I had wished to do so. On the plus side, the cost for the tires and change was good.Overall, they were disorganized and had long wait times.

The overall cost for oil change with a tire rotation was decently priced. They were kind and courteous. There was no soap in the bathroom but overall, we appreciate them for their service and help to keep us on the road :)

I came from out of town to take a friend to UCLA and I unfortunately hit a curb and then called my insurance company and they sent a tow truck to tow me to fire. stone. After telling them my story, they were so cooperative and understanding they got me in and out within an hour, I was so appreciative and Carlos took very good care of me. Thank you so much for all that they did.

The staff at Firestone in Westwood CA were absolutely amazing to deal with. Riccardo there was knowledgeable about my tire needs and was able to replace a flat tire on a specially ordered rim I provided in quick time. They were skilled in determining the problem with my wheel and tire and provided everything I needed for a very reasonable price. I have used them for many years and will continue to do so.

Friendly and knowledgeable service from really nice people who went out of their way to get the right equipment for my vehicle and explained everything clearly and simply. MUCH better prices than the place I used to get service at.

Made a reservation on Thu for a Sat am appointment to ensure the tires are in stock and ready to install. Sure enough i get there this morning and my tires arent there. They decided to sell to another customer the day before. They claim Ricardo, who assisted me on the phone, did not place the tires on hold. Not a great way to run a business, but i guess what else can u expect from a big corp chain store. Never going back to these guys again. Worse experience all time in buying tires.

Since 1926, it reads on the door. Wow 95 years of service??? These guys are probably slinging rubber with their eyes closed!WRONG. I had to have 1, count it 1, spare tire changed. I used to work for a tire shop and this takes 15 mins max.To help their process and efficiency went online and set a 2 pm appointment a day in advance. TO FURTHER speed up this shop, I called earlier in the day asking if it would help if I dropped the tire off early and they said yes, then it will be done by 2. I called at 2:15 and the lady told me you were quoted 3, that s when it will be done so sure, I ve got time I ll run some errands and get it at 3. I show up at 3 to my wheel and tire sitting having not been touched and am told my technician is on lunch and should be back by 3:30 to finish it up. Meanwhile there s 30+ cars stacked in the driveway with no where to park good luck to the 30 folks who think their car will be ready by the end of the day!Sir Firestone must be melting in his tire grave!

Overpriced! I had an alternator replaced and they quoted me $1500 when my regular mechanic quoted $800. Despite having an appointment it took 24 hours before my car was checked. I told them when I dropped the car off that the alternator needed replacement but was charged $120 for a diagnostic check. They also replaced my battery another $220 when that wasn t the issue. My car was parked blocks away under a tree and I had to walk looking around to find it. Not a good experience, I wouldn t go back.Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Battery

Polite staff, informed me the works to be done. The garage seems very crowded with cars for maintenance and I am not sure how they all able to do the treatments for all of them.

This is my 1st one start review. Made an appointment for 7/4th promotion for 15% off for 4 sets of tires, which needs to be ordered and then received an email confirming that. Had to delay an appointment once for the later day, and they rescheduled it for me. On the day of, I called in the morning to confirm the appointment, and they assured that they got the tires and offered to come in anytime. So I went, then found out the tires will not be there for another week and also they made an error of placing only 10% discount not 15%. Mistakes can happen and things could get delayed. However this review is for how they handled things; not once they apologized, and made me feel like my business is not appreciated.

Absolutely believe the 1-star reviews here. Came in to get my tire inspected for a leak. Told me 1.5-2 hours and they d call with updates/if they planned to do anything/when it would be ready. I call at the 2.5 hour mark (only because they d be closing soon), and the guy takes ten minutes to even get back to me, which made it seem like they hadn t even looked at it. The guy then tells me I have sidewall damage and your tires are old anyway so we can t repair it, we recommend just replacing all 4 . I said no thanks, they said they d put some air and I could come get it. I show up and the guy doing my paperwork said there is NO damage, that they couldnt find a leak, and that they arent allowed to touch these tires ? I tell him I was told there s sidewall damage, he goes in the back, then comes back out and says oh yeah there is . I ask them to show me, and I find out they ve rotated my tires and put the spare on, but LEFT the damaged tire in rotation and put one of the bald but fine tires in the back. They then charge me for tire rotation I didn t ask for, and say it was the best thing for the car , when meanwhile they left the damaged tire on the car just on a different wheel?? They didn t even call to say what the issue was and that they planned to do that. Very much felt they didn t do their job on time, didn t do the job I asked for, did extra things that made no sense and then charged me without informing ahead of time.

Vehicle dropped off with a loud wheel/chassis rattle after hitting a bad pothole, cost of doing business in West Hollywood. I notified the person who booked me on the phone about the concern and cause. I again notified the clerk who checked in my vehicle, and I asked again if the issue had been identified/any additional cost to resolve when I had to call them to ask if I could pick up my car 4+ hours after the original time. I was told that the car was given an alignment and taken for a test drive and the issue was resolved. It was immediately apparent on leaving the parking lot that the issue is not resolved, nor improved, and that my concerns for bringing the car in the first place were completely disregarded. $200 for alignment and oil change and absolutely zero of the issue resolved. Not only was I left hanging all day waiting after the original 2 hour window was missed but now they expect me to come back! Now I am taking more PTO to bring the car back to them and I ll be reconsidering my auto care options moving forward. Alignment isn t even straight.Services: Wheel alignment, Oil change

I came in to put a patch on a tire. The technician concluded that the tire couldn t be patched up and had to be replaced. It would ve set me back over $200, so I asked if they had some kind of payment plan. The guy said they did and I was very relieved until I realized I just signed up for a credit card. It s my mistake for not asking what kind of payment plan it was but I m in the process of getting a new car and renting a new larger apartment. I did not want to sign up for a new credit account and drop my credit score. I do expect sales people to elaborate on the process and give me more information. From what he told me I assumed it was a simple installment plan that didn t require hard credit check and opening a new credit account with a few thousand dollars limit to pay for a $200 tire.

Very busy place with people not very honest.Left my car for tire change and picked up much later than time promised. Sensor was saying tire pressure was too low. Called them to confirm if they have fill enough air after the tire change, and they said it's just sensor needs to be reset, but who would reset the sensor??? They work sheet says it was filled but they simply forgot. Brought the car back at 7:45 AM and asked them to recheck the tire if it was propoerly done, and the skinny guy with glasses was rude and arrogant, saying I need to leave the car for the whole day because they have too many cars to work. I would NEVER go to this place, and leave my car with hands of people not honest from the first place, and not care about customers concerns.Service: Tires

First diagnosis was 800 dollars. Second diagnosis was something broke and went into the engine. I sure could have saved the 800$ for the new car I have to purchase.I tried the email address you gave. Not validGood evening Brendan. My name is Oliver everett. I am emailing you to provide a detailed description of my experience @ Firestone. My car was towed to Firestone on December 2nd, around 7am. Around 3pm the diagnostic was complete and I was informed that the technician could repair it. Around an hour later I was told that the technician was having trouble getting a screw out. Another hour later I was informed that the screw was out, but the technician believed that metal had entered the engine block. He still said he could fix it but the metal pieces might affect the engine block one day. My car would barely start when I left Firestone close to 8pm. When I got home to seal beach. I turned my car off and it has not been able to start again. My contact information

The only place I go to for my car needs. Very honest and have never overcharged. If anything they have always told me better news than what I was expecting!

Had an appointment (set up in person) for 9 AM on Saturday; discussed work was NOT started until after 3 PM, and was NOT completed until 24 hours later the next day.Additionally, one of the technicians informed me that I would need to replace all the spark plugs (a service that they had completed just 7 months ago), until I reminded him of that...questionable up-sale tactic!?!Overall, disappointed in the level of professionalism with this experience.

Went here two weeks ago. Worker was nice and knowledgeable. Caught something on my used car purchase from Carmax that I need to get repaired during my complete inspection. So thankful they did. Will return.

We are disappointed for a basic oil change and tire rotation. Our Toyota RAV4 worked just fine and we came to this location for basic service. Immediately after the service the check engine light and Auto LSD lights came on. We rely on Firestone to help us, not cause more issues. We then took the vehicle to the Firestone on Laurel Canyon Boulevard and they fixed everything. We should be able to trust your team, not cause us another appointment because what we were told was that the "sub" pan underneath was not cleared out. Tire pressure in all 4 tires was 23 to 25. Do better Santa Monica Boulevard why wouldn't you check our tire pressure!

Both incompetent and scammy.Been there a few times. First time went in for an oil change and they came back with thousands in repairs that were clearly not needed. Another mechanic told me they were scamming.Another time I went there when i had a leak. They said it was just my AC when it was clearly oil, not water. But they tried to sell me thousands in unrelated stuff i didnt need. Including changing my brake fluid, which they themselves did my previous visit.Went to another mechanic and they quickly and easily fixed my oil leak.Dont go there unless you just need tires or an oil change. And dont let them upsell you stuff.
