DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! Brought my car in when I had a check engine light on. Based on how my car was behaving (mind you it was still running, drivable, no noises) I suggested it may be a spark plug issue causing misfires. Jaime, the owner, claimed the spark plugs were fine and that it was AN ENGINE ISSUE. Basically, one of the most expensive repairs possible, as opening the motor to get to the heads is at minimum a $2k job. Well he quoted me at $3500 before repairs. I sensed something didn t seem right, so I decided to get a second opinion from a friends mechanic. When I told Jaime I would be taking my car back, he was not happy. He insisted I shouldn t take the car, not to drive it and to leave it with him in his shop. I showed up to take it back anyway and requested the invoicing for the estimate as well as the diagnostics report. Ha! He was trying to replace timing belt (there s nothing wrong with my timing belt) plus numerous other parts, effectively recommending that I replace a list of parts for the engine, which he never mentioned were malfunctioning. WHAT?! I knew immediately something was fishy. So then he brings my car out, hands me the keys and says good luck getting it home . Excuse me? My car was perfectly drivable yesterday After I get in the car, I immediately notice it is shaking, idling roughly and so noisy! Worse condition than I brought it in. WELLLL my car stalls twice driving it home in LA traffic. My friends mechanic comes to look at it, and reveals they had LEFT TWO SPARK PLUGS DISCONNECTED. He wanted to ensure I wouldn t be able to drive it! He could have caused injury and bodily harm to me, not to mention could have caused an accident, resulting in damage to my vehicle. After my friends mechanic checks it out, he sees the ONLY issue with my car are some spark plugs. Exactly what I thought to begin with. C & R not only lied about my spark plugs not being the problem, they CREATED a very, very expensive problem that was NON EXISTENT so they could steal my money. Yes, I am a young female who maybe appears to have no knowledge of cars. I have done work on my own cars Jaime, don t judge a book by its cover. And never discount gut feelings. He claimed two cylinders weren t holding pressure, so I had the pressure re-tested and guess what- NO ISSUES. Meaning this wasn t a valve, piston, cam shaft, timing belt or any other engine problem. SCAM. This man is a vulture and con artist and a danger and liability to the community. He thought he could prey on me. Always trust your gut and never trust an overly nice mechanic.

Jaime and his team are thorough and quick in their diagnostic process and he goes out of the way to explain as much as possible about his recommended repairs so that folks like me who can better understand what is needed. Also I paid to get my headlights buffed... and after removing the 13 years of yellowed plastic, my car now looks brand new! Thank you C & R

I first took my car to C&R because of its convenient location, but I will never go anywhere else! Jaime and the team are talented mechanics and kind, honest people. Over the past few years I have brought my car in there countless times for all different stuff and have always received reliable and speedy service for a fair price. The business is run with such integrity--I'll give a couple examples. My check engine light went on one time and Jaime diagnosed a sensor as the issue, and instead of taking the opportunity to charge me to replace it he tried cleaning it first because he didn't think it needed replacing (it didn't!) and told me if the problem persisted he would credit me for the cleaning to replace the sensor. Recently, I had my A/C fixed and unfortunately the compressor installed was faulty. I brought it in a couple months later and because it was under warranty they replaced it and recharged it for absolutely free. I couldn't believe it! This place is the best!

I had a flat tire and a stripped lug nut, so I couldn't change the tire myself. They fixed my car in a timely manner, gave me a ridiculously good price and were really nice as well.

He s got good prices but the reason for 2 stars is because he knew I had a bad inner tie rod but he didn t mention after changing just the outer tie rod. I think a good mechanic should do the right thing and tell people what went wrong with the car especially if they knew and not let the customer go on hoping the customer would come back for more services. He s cool but just that one time he knew I had a bad inner tie rod but didn t let me know and just changed the outer tie rod when he knew it was not the cause of my wheel wobbling.Service: Wheel alignment

Jaime has saved my ass twice now and always charges a reasonable price. He's always got my back and has my car back to me in a timely manor. Not only does he do a great job of fixing it, but he does a great job explaining what's wrong and what my options are to amend the issue. He's the only mechanic in LA that I trust.

Great place to go! Fair, friendly, experienced and honest mechanics (which, frankly, is hard to find nowadays) working there. Jaime's been doing this for 20 years and has personality plus. Only charged 20$ for a simple installation that Ford wanted to charge 60$ for. You can't beat that deal with a hammer! My family highly recommends this place. We'll be coming back here for a long time to come. Nice family-ran business with the cutest, friendliest "office guard dog" we've ever seen, haha. :) Keep up the 'great' work all!

Brought my car in because I had a long scratch-like mark from someone's mirror swiping my car. They wanted to keep my car for a day and color-sand three of my panels. I brought it into Network in NoHo for a second opinion and in 5 minutes a guy there used a solvent to wipe away the mark. Looks good as new and they didn't charge me a dime.

my relationship started with this company over 15 yrs...the owner was actually the oil change guy.jaime very hard working hispanic man with a great family and traditional latin values, hard working and dedication. i own 650 bmw 350 mercedes and old cars that are collector items.. i get all my cars service there and have never been disappoint as a matter of fact ...i actually was proper informed on things that i was unaware of.. i could not let someone put a report of there experiences with c&r and the service ..i felt not only hurt for him and his kindness that was takin for a weakness but, now i had to write a report which .i have never made but, i totally disagree and think that anyone that don't this mechanic and staff expect more for what they paid for or just don't like themselves....100 percent honesty...

I came from out of town and went to his shop for air condition repair services. The shop owner was very nice, honest, accommodating, informative, and professional the entire time. This garage has very friendly and responsive staff. Had a flat tire and was able to get the problem fixed much quicker than I would have thought, and for much less!

I took my car to get it diagnosed because it had a misfire I had explained to them that I had replaced spark plugs and ignition coils before bringing the car to them so I left the car with them for a week and a half and they couldn t find the the cause of the misfire and they basically charged me 955$ to do the same thing I did which was replace the spark plugs and if ignition coils again I went to pick up my car and they told me they had added something into the car to clean fuel injectors and to bring it back to them in a week but I didn t cause I felt like they were just trying to get more money out of me I basically wasted 955 for nothingService: Auto engine diagnostic
