Aamco is one of the best places I have received car services. I am referring to the one at 1789 S. La Cienega Blvd in Los Angeles, California! I can call at the last minute even if I don t have an appointment and they will fine the time to take a look even if I have to wait to see what s needed to be done, and if something is wrong will try to fix it at earlier convenience. I am one hundred percent happy with the work services because they care about the customers and take the time to make sure everything is done right so you will be happy with the service, so where else can you go??? I say Go see Paul at Aamco

I took my car a few months ago to this recommended place to fix my car's transmission. They place my car on a hydraulic and somehow they left it fall to the ground . Long story short my car was totaled. Their management try to come out with a cheap repair which I rejected, I ended up getting my car's money from my own insurance. AAMCO La Cienega did not pay for the damages on my car but one thing they quickly did was to make sure I pay for the transmission repair almost 5000 dollars. They offered to pay for a rental car I was instructed by the manager to rent I took the car and returned and they said they would take car of that as part of leaving me without a car for almost three weeks. Three months later the rental company is charging me for the money they promised to pay more than a thousand dollars. So If I were you I would try any other company or location because this is definitely a place you will never ever want to visit again. So in the end I lost my car , I paid for car's transmission I could not drive and on top of that they even want me to pay for the car they rented for me knowing that because of their fault I had no car during those days.Owner response:Response from the owner (3 weeks ago)Hi Willie, we're disappointed to hear of the negative experience you had at our location. I was referred to this place by a trusted mechanic. Called trying to get more details or possibly a quote. Called, spoke with Paul, who seemed rushed, uninterested, dismissive, and unwilling to give enough information or ask questions. I asked for a range to try and probe more information, understanding a quote is difficult to assess as it s a case by case basis. The best quote he could give me was a $3,500-$5,000 range to rebuild a 1996 Lexus ES 300 while providing a one year warranty. Needlesss to say disappointed in a short interaction I had and taking my business elsewhere.

I dropped my car off here after it broke down and had no clue what was wrong. These guys were super honest and transparent and could not have made the repair easier. Definitely the first place I ll go to now.

What a lucky find. People that not only know what they are doing but are gracious and understanding of your troubles. I have a complicated transmission and they solved my problem while I waited. Very reasonable prices also. They were recommended to me and now I would, with out worry, recomend them to you. Ask for Paul. Very patient and calming.

Paul was amazing to work with. He helped us incredibly. No one wants car issues and yet Paul made the service experience enjoyable with respect to troubleshooting solutions on an older vehicle. Very responsive, saw the ford truck right away, an old manual 4-speed transmission and he talked to me straight on the clutch. 10 stars. Thanks Paul. Highly recommend.

I WILL CHANGE THE RATING WHEN I GO BACK AND THEY HONOR MY APPOINTMENT, THIS PLACE IS REALLY BUSY ALL THE TIME IT TAKES A LONG TIME WAITING AT THE SHOP FOR THEM TO WORK IN YOUR CAR..!!! GOOD luck

Very pleased with the transparency and thoughtfulness of this shop. Paul was an excellent communicator and looked out for my best interests. He reached out to multiple parts places to ensure I would be getting the best price on a rebuild. I felt very taken care of. Highly recommend!

Excellent! Honest, fast, well priced and responsive!I used their service twice so far.1) I brought my car in to fix a broken alternator and starter - they fixed is super fast!2) I had an oil indicator to off, they checked it for me and then we re super honest and told me that everything was ok - simply that when I did the last oil change, I didn t reset the indicator - they did this complementary for me at no charge!As I said super honest and fast service! At a friar price - what more can I ask for?!Thank you Paul and team!

Paul and his crew were fantastic. Jorge worked on my car until closing, ensuring that the work was complete before end-of-day so that I was not left without a car. Their pricing is fair, and the work quality is excellent. Paul offers honest, sound advice, and prescribes work as is needed. I can t offer higher praise.

As a female it s difficult to find a trustable mechanic shop. They usually oversell and under deliver. However, this Aamco location has the best customer service. They will be my choice for any future car repairs. The shop manager Paul was very gracious and helpful. He made sure I understood the required repairs and was very professional. I am extremely grateful for finding this location. I would recommend this shop to all of my friends and family .Service: Transmission

A very kind and honest business. I brought in my Camry and they got right on my repairs and gave me a great deal for parts and labor. My car has been running smoother than it has for years. The service manager Paul is always helpful and polite. Glad to see such great customer service!

I ve been coming here for the better part of a decade and cannot recommend this place highly enough. Over that time they ve probably fixed every part of my car. It s the only shop I ll go to. Super professional, honest, fair, and super clear as far as communication is concerned. Appreciate these guys so much! We took our car in for a check at the Kia dealership, and they told us we would need to replace our entire transmission. We wanted a second opinion so we went to these guys, they got us in first thing in the morning the day after we called. The guy that answered, Keith, was insanely nice and helpful. I dropped the car off in the morning, Paul was up front and he knew who I was and what I was there for after I said my name. I picked up the car at the end of the day, Paul explained what all they did, all the things they tested and checked in different ways, they took the car out themselves a few times. I felt assured in their recommendation, and appreciated the thoroughness.Service: Transmission

I was experiencing car trouble on Thursday and Friday, so I decided to call them for an appointment on Saturday. I was able to take my car in first thing in the morning, have the issue diagnosed (for free!), and repaired before they closed at noon on Saturday (I was lucky enough that there were no other appointments that day). Even as a new customer, Paul and his team of technicians were very helpful and quick with their service. I will definitely return to them for future work if needed and would highly recommend you visit as well.

Paul and his crew were terrific. I came in having found the ship off of Apple Maps. Paul was reassuring from the start - knowledgeable, and pragmatic. Additionally, he fit me in right when I got there, which allowed me to get back to work quickly - you can beat that kind of service. So thrilled by the whole experience - I found my new mechanic.

Bad customer service. My boyfriend and I had taken our car here for diagnostics, and were deciding whether to get it repaired or not. Paul was rude and unprofessional. He unfairly tried to charge us storage fees with no warning, saying we could either pay for repairs or pay the fees. It felt like a threat. He also made things weirdly personal and compared us to his 21 year old daughter, because we're young. He also condescendingly told us that since we were young we didn't understand how to do business. He also tried to guilt us into paying, saying his boss was angry at him for not making money off us yet. He finally let us go, saying "you're not worth it". He then nearly ran us over while moving another car, which seemed intentionally passive-aggressive. Overall: insulting, disrespectful, & unprofessional.

Had my transmission rebuilt at the Cathedral City location and car developed a leak. Took it in and Paul and Allen were fantastic took care of the leak, double checked to ensure it was properly done. And great overall customer service. Highly recommended

It can be hard to find a car repair place that you trust. I love AAMCO! I've been a few times and each time I've received great customer service and one of the things I like the best is that they give you options. They are honest about how your car is doing, what repairs are urgent, and what repairs you should keep an eye out for. Even though I've moved farther away, I still take my car here any time I need to get something checked out.

Another shop had told me my transmission needed to be replaced. Before I put down the thousands of dollars needed, I wanted to get a second opinion from a transmission specialist. From the moment I first called, AAMCO's employees did a fantastic job of breaking down all my options. After examining my car, they determined that the issue was with my switch instead of the transmission, saving me a lot of time and money. The vehicle runs great again, and I will gladly return for any future issues I may have.Service: Transmission

I had my transmission replaced last year and so far no problems. This year they fixed my AC for under $500, half the price other mechanics wanted. I highly recommend! Being new to the LA area and not sure who to trust with my car. The dealership tried to overcharge me numerous times. Paul has been a great help and I've continued to come. Great place to go honest, reliable, and affordable!

I googled transmission services and aamco caught my eyes. I explored their page decided to give the one closest to me a call. Paul answered and right away helped me out with asking the history of my car. We set a appointment and went from there. I went in with 15 alerts. 14 of them were cylinders misfire and 1 something.
