Noticed I had a flat at the Grove and the A1 team was quick to get me in and patch my tire. Super friendly, fast service, fair pricing. Awesome experience.

Service was great. Have been multiple times for tire new tires and an oil change. He sourced the tires next day for me and worked quickly. Near by cafe that s comfortable to walk to is a plus.

My car needed several things done, and they took care of all of them: brakes, oil, filters, tire, wiper blades and even a broken visor. Amir was very helpful and communicative. Everything was done quickly and efficiently. Awesome service. Honest!!!! This will be our new auto repair center for all our cars (and we have a lot! Car rental company)Experience: Called and spoke with Al who allowed us to come right away today to get breaks changed. (Very convenient thank you!)He checked the car out fully, had tires out and everything and told us we actually did not need to replace the brakes! We only ended up paying for the inspection and he told us we would not need breaks for at least another 5k miles.Most auto repair places would replace the breaks anyway and not consult honestly but A1 really provided A1 service and honesty which we really appreciate. Al - you are awesome and a good person. Thank you for your honesty and good service. We will be back!Service: Brakes

The worst service I ever had. I had a flat tire on the next street. I went there to ask if they fix the tires. The manager sent Amir with me to see the tire. He started putting my jack under the car to lift it and take off the wheel. I asked him at least three times not to do it because the road was uneven and the car was moving. He didn't listen and continued. So, jack was bent and stuck under the car. So Amir just left. I thought he'd be back with some solution. Nope. I'd come to talk with a manager and describe everything that happened. While talking, Amir was yelling and calling me puta. Very professional. Next, three of them went to my car to see what happened. They were able to take out the jack with damage to my car.

Needed engine service at the last minute, and this company was kind enough to examine my car and resolve its issues. Called, explained the situation, they asked me to make sure I arrive by a certain time, and that was pretty much it. They were very fair with their prices, didn't force anything on me, and provided an estimate for future service the car would likely need. Very courteous, friendly, and professional. Very positive experience with them.Services: Tires, Auto engine diagnostic

I've been in LA for 12 years but always joked that I won't consider myself a local until I find MY mechanic. These 12 years I've tried 5 different mechanics and I'm happy to say I finally fond THE ONE. These guys are the most incredible I could have found. They went above and beyond trying to help me. They did extra work I didn't request, for no extra cost. They communicated with me, and made me feel I was the priority. They worked everything out with my insurance and they not only had the best attitude, but their work in my car was pristine. I won't ever dare to use someone else for my car needs, they just got a new lifetime costumer. I wish more people were like them. 10/10.

Amir and Al are great! I needed a set of engine mounts for my 2005 Mazda 3, plus some other small maintenance needs. They were very straightforward about the cost and what work would be performed, and didn't talk down to me or try to upsell me. They came in slightly under another estimate I had with another local shop. The work was completed before the end of the day, and I had my car back by 5pm! After the work was done, I took my car on a 3000 mile trip to Austin and back, and had zero issues. I'm so glad I went to A1.

I was visiting out of town and I have a very specialized car. My breaks were making sounds and a wrench light was on. I made an apt on a Friday morning and mentioned I had to leave the next day. The team went above and beyond to meet my extremely tight deadline and it didn t help that my car needed very specialized parts. The team used their connections and worked tirelessly to find the parts my car needed. Amir was very knowledgeable and was a straight shooter and I was extremely surprised they were able to fix my car in a few hours! These guys are the real deal and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them! I wish I lived in LA because they would be my mechanic for life! Thank you

I highly recommend this auto repair shop. Amir was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose and fix the problems with my car promptly. Amir communicated brilliantly and kept me updated of what was being done and what the costs would be. When I collected my car he ensured everything was in order plus my car was sparkling clean! I will be taking my car here here in future. Thanks to all the staff. Top job!

Al and Amir do great work at a very fair price. Feels like the kind of small family business you d find in a small town in the pacific northwest or upstate New York. Plus, they re honest and fast.

My car's battery died at 4:30pm on a Friday and they stayed open past their 5pm closing time to take care of me and give me the best experience! Extremely friendly and helpful, and it is no surprise to me that they have remained open for business for over 40yrs. Amir and Al are both tremendous human beings as well as mechanics. Thank you, to the whole team

Great body shops and mechanics are very hard to come by and to trust, but that is exactly what you get at A1 performance. I have been going to them for years and they are always so great. They are obviously great at fixing cars, but their service and professionalism is second-to-none. They will definitely take care of you there! Highly recommended!

If you re looking for a great honest local body shop, this is the one. They take pictures of the work and show you the process and everything they repaired. Good communication. They ve been around for awhile and u can tell this by their service. Nice family run place.
