While living in Long Beach Toms Auto was always our go to for repair needs. When one of our cars had an issue two days before we were planning to drive across the country they managed to squeeze us in, find, and resolve the problem. All of the staff, and especially Victor, were always very helpful and friendly. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Tom's Automotive Service Center is five-stars all the way. They not only are honest in their assessment of what's needed, they don't take advantage of me as a woman. They're friendly, yet professional, and treat everyone with respect when arriving. Thank you Victor, in particular, for always looking out after the best interests of my car. Highly recommend!

I was looking for a place that offers wheel alignment because I got new tires. Found Tom's Automotive Service Center to be very close to my place and scheduled an appointment.Called and in a few hours I was in their shop. Waited about 5 mins since there was a customer ahead of me. They did my car and 25mins later I was out of the shop. They drove test my car too, before and after the alignment, which was great. Tells me they really do their job very well.Customer service was great! Victor and Mario and the mechanic was great! Very good place to go get your car fixed. Prices were also very good compared to other shops I was able to contact. Definitely recommend this place!Service: Wheel alignment

Honest, friendly and efficient...EVERY single time!!! They know what they are doing. Best to call for an appointment ad they are generally busy. They maybe able to squeeze you in for something small. Highly recommend them!!!

Staff is very knowledgeable and experienced in auto repair. First time coming here for repairs. I m pretty critical of auto shops and dealerships but felt informed and assured by Tom s diagnosis and suggestions. I ll definitely go back for future maintenance.

I won't go to anyone else. They know what service is! Always courteous, professional and honest. They have never tried to upsell me. The facility is clean and comfortable.

They were a little unwilling to help. Somewhat expensive. Waited two hours just to get one tire changed.Well, well, well...everyone gives this spot 4 or 5 stars. Steve and Hector were very unfriendly towards me from the start. Why? The treatment I got was awful. I came to them and they tried selling me four tires I did not need. I wanted 1 tire and waited 2 hours to get that 1 tire changed.Makes no sense for them to mistreat me but everyone else has a delightful, cheery, under the sun, dancing in lilac fields with this tire shop.Don't mean to put a flat tire in their hayride but it just goes to show that most people are just plain DUMB.

I lived in LB for two years and always went to Tom s for all my car repairs because of their efficiency, communication, amazing customer service, and to support a family business. I now live in Beverly Hills and will make the drive to Tom s for my car s oil change and any repairs that pop up (it s worth the drive to have my car inspected by them). Despite how busy their team is, they re always good about getting me in and having my car ready the same day.I also want to add that their waiting room is very comfortable, clean, and quiet to work from. They have couches and lounge chairs, a mini fridge with refreshments, and a solid coffee setup.Thanks for your service and endless hospitality! Tom s Auto have some of it not THE BEST mechanics in California since I ve lived out here!!! Victor is the guy who answers the phone and is so kind and funny! When Tom is there, he s pleasant and sooo on top of things!!!! They work on all my fleet vehicles

I typically do my own automotive work but for jobs I can't do they all go to Tom's. I appreciate their early hours and everyone is clean, polite, and professional.

I've been going here for many years now. They do very good work. Prices are reasonable. Their honest and you don't feel like they're trying to rip you off. The staff is friendly and professional. Their lobby is great! It's very clean with a cool vibe, plus they always have fresh coffee, water, various drinks, and sometimes snacks/donuts. I highly recommend Tom's Auto!

Took "OJ" to Tom's for an alignment. Found them via Google search and couldn't be happier. Most shops don't want to or can't do an alignment on a lifted vehicle. I called them up and they were happy to do it. The shop was super clean and organized and everyone I spoke to was very professional and knowledgeable.

Was quoted $30 to swap my rim out for my spare rim and was told it would take 30 mins. That seemed a little excessive. I called the shop across the street and they quoted me $5 and did it in 3 mins. They are overcharging women or their prices are inflated. I m just glad i didn t go with them.

The customer service here is excellent. They work as a team here, and if someone sees you at the register they will ask if you've already been helped. I needed a new mechanic and a friend recommended this place. It's nerve wracking to go somewhere new because you never know if you're going to have a good experience or end up with a mechanic that will take advantage of your lack of knowledge to up sell and overcharge you for unnecessary work (especially as a female). This is definitely not the case here, I feel I can definitely trust them after this service. I am so pleased to have found an honest mechanic close to home. Came in to Tom s today for the first time and they were awesome! Extremely polite and professional, they replaced my front end suspension/struts and did a wheel alignment and my car drives like a dream now. They also gave me a recommendation on what repairs to do next, as well as an estimate right there on the spot. I was recommended to Tom's by good a friend and current customer. I gave Victor car model, year and what I was looking for. Victor gave me info and price without steering me to a higher price tire or try to upsell me. No nonse, just business. Dropped it off 2ndays later and my car was ready to go as promised. I highly recommend Tom's automotive Service Center

A rare find these days, best of the best...I ve had my vehicle(s) serviced at the old location and followed him to this location because I have never been disappointed. They are quality customer focused, very friendly, and helpful.Once my new vehicle service contract was complete they are my go-to place. When the dealer identified a repair or additional service required, I took it to Tom s for quick and cost-effective repair/service.I ve purchased tires, had the brakes done, and many other services on my vehicles. Had a 75 Jeep that they helped breath new life into it. Even provided me tips on items that I foolishly decided to do on my own.Always kept me in the loop on progress and timely execution. Even recommended that some service was not necessary at that time.Recently went in for oil change and tire rotation. Quick and efficient. Got my new tires installed at a discount store that does not do alignment and they recommend that I get one as I had some bad wear. Called a shop in Lakewood that was over a week out appointment and then called Tom's. Victor answered the phone and was super friendly, he said if I dropped off the car he could get me in today and that is just what he did. Only took about 10 minutes to get checked in with paperwork, Sam helped out and was super friendly. They initially estimated it being ready by about 5pm, they ended up calling me early at 3pm. Pretty impressed, super friendly, busy shop in a good way, you know they are taking care of their customers. Will definitely be back.Service: Wheel alignment

Update 7-25-23: I always get tires here. Best place for that by far. This time I had a ton of work done. I wanted a ton of work done. Car was demanding it and I had saved up to do the work. New shocks, brake pads, routers, radiator flush, etc. Car is running extremely well. Feels nice and tight again. Super stoked on the work quality. Going forward pretty much the only place I'm comfortable bringing my car to to get work. Can't say enough good things about them. They really helped me out. Thank you.4 years ago: Both my wife and I only buy our tires from Tom's. Best place in Long Beach for tires. If you get a screw or nail in a tire they sold you, they fix it for free. I live in a neighborhood with a lot of construction going on. I end up picking up a screw or nail every once in a while and it's a pain to fix. At least it was until I started buying tires from Tom's. I have been to this shop several times with excellent service, but I regret to state that this is no longer the case. I referred my partner here to have his car diagnosed because his check engine light came on. There was also an oil leak and the AC was not very cold. Although they took very little time to actually inspect the vehicle, they attempted to charge him over $500 just to diagnose it. The report came back stating the oil pan needed to be replaced ($667), the leak detection pump needed to be replaced ($1,209) and that the AC compressor and condenser needed to be replaced ($1,387.) Unfortunately I was not there to assist in refuting the charges, but my partner was able to talk them "down" to $320 for the diagnostics. When we received the car, the AC went from being not very cold to blowing hot air. After taking it to another mechanic, we were told that he only needed a minor repair of one piece to the oil pump (or pan) and that the AC was drained of the coolant and was never replaced by Tom's. He ran his own diagnostics, replaced the small part of the oil pump (or pan) and refilled the coolant for just over $500 total. The check engine light has remained off, the oil drip is gone and the AC is colder than when we purchased the vehicle. To say that Tom's was taking advantage of someone with little automobile knowledge is an understatement. They were outright cheating them and attempting to rob them.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Auto tire replacement

What a great service center! They fixed my vehicle, explained everything well and billed me fairly. A month later I had a concern about something they had worked on and they checked it out and fixed it free of charge. The beautiful waiting area with coffee and snacks is a nice bonus.
