Long story short I took my car there for some suspension/wheel hub bearing/control arm work. They worked all day on it. I picked it up later that evening after closing cost $1300. The next day it was making horrible rattle noises. The car was worse than when I dropped it off. I set up a follow up with the owner the next day. The owner flaked. I waited in the shop parking lot an hour in the rain after they supposedly opened. He never showed up. So I took it to another shop and paid more money to have it fixed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT ROCKYS AUTO! RIPOFF!

i just want to say that Rockys auto service in long beach ,ca. is the spot for all your car needs .. i been there multiple times for my 2007 ford fusion and each every time i go , i get excellent service .... the guys there know what their doing under the hood... if you don't trust your mechanic then u should come down to Rockys auto where u can count and trust that your car is in good hands... great prices....

Rocky and his team are very friendly. Rocky has always provided excellent service at fair price. I feel I can trust them and I don't get that feeling at other auto repair shops. They worked on rear door and spark plugs issues and they fixed on time. This place will be my go-to for any other auto repair issues.Thank you so much Rocky!

Rocky's is my forever go to for all things car repair and maintenance. It doesn't matter where I move, I'll make the drive. Rocky is a great honest hard working gent and his son Kevin is just as great! They work with you, take care of your vehicle as if it were their own. Places with people like this are hidden gems and hard to find. Trust me you cannot go wrong bringing your car to them.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE. IT TAKES FOREVER FOR THEM TO START WORKING ON THE CAR .PLUS THEY DRIVE YOUR CAR AROUND.(CHECH YOUR GAS SUPPLY AND YOUR MILES)WHILE MY CAR WAS THERE (8 DAYS)SOMEONE TOOK (STOLE) SOME COMMERCIAL FILTERS,SOME OTHER NEW PARTS,3 BOXES Of SODAS ,A PLASTIC BIN,A COMMERCIAL BLOWER.THE ANSWER FROM THAT GUY WAS "THAT NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE"WE PAID $460 FOR THE REPAIR. BUT AT THE END IT WAS MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS WI.TH ALL THE THINGS THEY STOLEWE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

Quality local work and fair pricing. 3 stars because a 2 PM appointment doesn't mean anything, and 5 hours is way too long to be waiting. My car wasn't even taken into the garage until 3 PM. The time quote was for about 1.5 hours to replace the rear brake pads and resurface the rotors with front wheel rebalancing, pretty standard time just about anywhere. Around $200-$220 is normal as well for the entire services including $10 per tire for balancing x2. Finally checked out at 7 PM, waited the entire five hours on site. The other reason for 3 stars is they changed my oil and never asked me if that was okay or confirmed the service in any way! Who does that?!PROS:- Quality work.- Fair pricing and some room to negotiate. Take cash and cards.- Easy parking in off street lot.- Rocky is a nice guy, but may upsell you.- Waiting room with two couches, tons of magazines, basic cable TV, and a bathroom attached which is big enough for a wheelchair with railing and was cleaner than expected for an auto shop. They keep a scented candle burning too.- Have a good relationship with the neighborhood.CONS:- Watch the upsells. Especially without asking for your permission!- Make sure all services are approved.- Appointments are pointless.- Time scheduling could be better.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! City records indicate that they are not even operating with a valid business license as of June 29th. Since October of last year, they have operated under the DBA Rocky's Auto Service, but changed owners 3 times to avoid debts.Many years ago, I trusted this auto shop with the repair of my car. In recent years, the service and quality have severely declined. I took my car in to get a routine oil change and identify an issue with a check engine light. Kevin informed me that the MAP sensor needed to be replaced. I returned later in the week to drop off the car to replace the MAP sensor. The bill was $489.Not 5 minutes after picking up the car, there was a severe issue in driving it around the corner. After the initial, fraudulent "replacement" of my MAP sensor, I returned to the shop an additional 3 times, each time incurring more issues.My repairs totaled $1348. And each of these "repairs" led to more issues, many of which have yet to be resolved. I had to take Ubers ($60 total) back and forth to the shop for each error they made, and my husband missed a day of work to meet Kevin to see under the car, only for Kevin to show up late and cancel the appointment, not allowing my husband to see the "repairs." Rocky was rude and domineering when I showed up to the shop to pick up my car for the third time. He would not speak with me and left his son to sort out the mess.After continued failed Smog attempts, I later had another mechanic make the proper repairs. He informed me that the MAP sensor had NEVER been replaced and provided me with the actual OEM MAP sensor that was still in my car. He pointed out that they used cheap after market parts and charged me full price ($929 for a used vacuum pump and labor that typically costs between $500-600) without notifying me what types of parts were being used on my car. Additional repairs that they claimed to address were not addressed as stated on my bill. This mechanic, as well as the dealership, identified issues with my car that Rocky and Kevin said they repaired and charged me for.I ended up suing the business, taking all of my evidence to the court, and won my case. To date, he has refused to payout what a judge determined as a fair settlement. Crooked, fraudulent, rude, and will take advantage of you.

Came here to get some car service, once I got there no one greeted me, a worker just looked at us and straight up ignored us. We waited about 10 minutes to see if anyone would come out to help us, nope, nobody showed up. While waiting we decided to check out how much window tinting was and the guy we asked came to the car, looked at the window, gave the price and then walked back to his spot, didn't even ask if we were going to do it or not or anything it was so WEIRD.....after this, we waited a couple more minutes and left, took our money elsewhere, clearly they're not here to make business.

You got to see Kevin @ Rocky s Auto Service. Very nice and most importantly honest and fair on the pricing. Was able to trouble shoot and show me what the issues were. Saved the old parts to show me what I had. Coming back soon for my other vehicles!

MY BROTHER WAS TOTALLY OVERCHARGED... To put an engine belt on a 3.8 l engine V6 the most it should have cost ...$75.00... my brother was charged $150.00... OVER CHARGED... RECOMMEND LOOK AROUND BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT GOING TO ROCKY'S AUTO SERVICE....

MY 2019 Kia Sorento needed a alternator , Kevin at Rockys auto service was able to get my car in and out within a few hours , and the price was more than Fair . Don t hesitate to give these guys a call .

This shop use to be amazing when Rocky was around, it seems he s handed it down to his son that really just shouldn t be in the business at all. Bad work and bad attitude, I m sorry to see a family business in this condition.Service: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance

This is a wonderful establishment, built on classic family values and good old fashioned business ethics! I called ahead of time and was helped by a polite gentleman on the phone. When I arrived the business owner Rocky helped me immediately and made me feel very comfortable..he even showed me his selection of products in the back to assure me that he only uses the best quality products. Halfway thru the process of getting my oil changed, he let me know that I was getting a sweet deal as his first time customer! When the process was finished I felt very happy with the work, the business owner and the price. PLUS, MOST IMPORTANTLY, the owner reassured me that he would never take advantage of me and sell me services and products I don't need (as a woman with very little car repair experience, I felt very comfortable bringing my business and auto needs to Rocky's Auto Service). I will definitely be coming back here for my future auto repair and maintenance needs!!!

I only needed transmission fluid added and Rocky quoted me 85$ labor plus the cost of material and needed an hour minimum to do it. Jiffy Lube charged me 16$ and only took 5 minutes. Glad i read the reviews and didn't get overcharged.

I brought in my Jeep Liberty after seeing my engine light was on and it was starting to shake while accelerating. I recently just drove my Jeep from Colorado and seeing as I just moved here I didn t know what mechanic to take my car to get it looked at. I was in the Long Beach area and was doing my research and Rocky s Auto service came up. Seeing how promising the reviews were I decided to take my car in. My interaction with Rocky throughout the whole process was great. He would call me to tell me what we re the issues of my Jeep. I believe that with everything he and his team did the the price was fair, I m sure if I took it to another mechanic or dealership it would have been more. He fixed a lot and I m glad he reassured me that he wanted to make sure that everything would be fixed so I wouldn t have any other problems in the near future. If you need a good mechanic and live in the Long Beach area I highly suggest that you go to this place. Especially being a woman it s hard not to feel like mechanics are scamming you with prices and unnecessary fixes, but here at Rocky s Auto I didn t feel like that at all. He explained everything to me that had to be fixed, he even showed me all the changes he did. Overall I m happy that I went to this shop and got my Jeep fixed by them.

I bring my car here for regular check ups. They are very reliable and do great work. Recently there was a problem with the transmission. I brought it to a dealership to get it fixed and they told me it was going to cost me 6K. Rather than make a mistake of automatically replacing a transmission, I took it to Rockys and they diagnosed it down to needing a new speed sensor and solenoid. Not only did they save me a lot of time and money but it reaffirms my trust in this mechanic shop.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Air conditioning, Auto interior vacuuming, Car waxing, Battery, Oil change

1 star is one too many.The guy kept insisting that the engine oil dip stick is for transmission oil. Guess the car's manual got it wrong.Worst is, the guy kept the car for 4 hours, calling me an hour into it to tell me that the engine needs to be cleaned first before he can run his diagnosis! Then he charged $85 to tell me that I have an oil leak but he can't tell where it's coming from. Reason i took the car at the first place is..... the oil is leaking.

We moved out to Long Beach in December and needed a serious oil change. We looked all over, and Rockys had great reviews. Not only was the price affordable, but the owner was also the nicest person we have met out here! Rockys is now our #1 place for car service. THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING AWESOME! :)

Car emergencies are not so bad when you have an incredible professional mechanic to help. My car was dead with an electrical problem when I brought my car to the ever dependable folks at Rocky's Auto Service. Rocky texted me and called at each stage of the repairs. The repairs were affordable and my car runs like new. My 12 year old daughter and I are very grateful for the great service and communication, thanks again Rocky!

Rocky was great! I took my car to a dealership to get my brakes changed, and they tried to scare me into buying more services than I needed. I decided it was time to find a local mechanic, and went to Rocky's. He took me to my car on the shop floor, measured the rotor width, and showed me the manufacturer's guidelines for when to replace rotors. It all made sense to me and gave me piece of mind. And he didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't want! Thousands of miles later, the brakes are still on point. I'll definitely be going back to Rocky's for my 100,000 mile service.

It took a few months but Rocky and his team really brought my 93 Isuzu trooper back to life. Super friendly guys willing to work with you and get you the fairest price. Sad to be moving and have to find a new mechanic but the old trooper wouldn't be able to make the trip if it wasn't for you guys. Thanks again!

This was the worst place to take your car. I took my Honda and they returned it to me worst than i gave it to them. They lost bolts to places they should even of touched. Low prices for the cheap work they do. Went in there with 1 problem, came out with 3 new problems. on top of that, he didn t know what he was talking about, they act like they know about cars when they are going based of what THEY THINK, I DONT NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Great service, fast and efficient. Dropping off my car was super easy and even though they were very busy they were nice and helpful. My car was done within a day. Manny was super kind and explained everything that was wrong with my car thoroughly and upon pick up he showed me all the parts he had replaced and even showed me pictures of the before and after. Would definitely recommend.

Everyone has "their days"... Today we needed people like joe (the shop owner) & his team. We called after 4pm, arrived a little after 5, shop closes at 6pm. We were outta there by 5:38pm. My husband watched as they worked on our car, right next to the technician working on our car, not that we didn't trust him, but more of a learning experience for future reference. They made us feel comfortable, we did not once did we feel as if we were intruding. Very professional, helpful, reasonable pricing. We will definitely be returning.

Had them check a tire, replace a battery and replace a rear-view mirror on our daughter's car. They got us in really quickly and gave us great service at a fair price. Highly recommend!

Thank GOD for Rocky and Manny! They are upfront and honest. I was given consistent updates on my vehicle. They explained in great detail their observations of my vehicle. They were able to get the parts needed quickly. They are awesome!!

These guys were awesome.I (very unfortunately) had a rat that got inside and stuck in the fan and they cleaned it all out for me!Definitely worth the money...No way would I get in there to clean it out myself...nooo thanks.I dropped off my car in the morning and picked it up a few hours later. They were so friendly and I ll definitely go back when I need more service. I think they ll remember me and my smelly car for a while. :)
