I've been going to Lam for years and hlm and his guys are the most loyal honest guys your going to find. I needed a water pump replacement but unfortunately it was behind my timing belt which was going to be a major job but Lam helped me out when no one did and gave me affordable price. Thank you guys!

Do not recommend this place to anyone that does not want to be f up. First they replaced the axle n did a very bad job! Car was unsafe to drive and had to bring it back. Second the brake job they did also sucked and car again was unsafe to drive. Got charged additional money so they could fix their f up. Stay away.

I wish there was a way to give the owner of this place 0 stars I was so happy to tell my hunny about this place cause so much people had such great things to say about the owner well unfortunately when my husband went here he was told to leave by the owner cause his car had to much problems and said they where not gonna deal with it according to the owner I feel like my husband was not shown a professional invite as a paying customer no solution was giving from the owner at all so shame on the owner I am not gonna speak on anyone else at this location but I believe the owner name is Liam due to reviews and what my husband could remember a lot of people had good things to say and I was looking for a good report for my husband experience just for him to tell me of his treatment I am greatly disappointed so I feel the need to leave a review I do not like coming for a business unless I absolutely have to I pray you see this and be touched to have a more pure heart in your talking to people you don t know what s going on in someone s world to be do disrespectful and rude!!! God will deal with you accordingly you can t just go around being nasty to people when you have a business May allah make your heart pure for you know not what you do

Great price and service. Knew exactly what was wrong, replaced my terminal and starter. Gave me some tips on what might need replacing soon and showed me why so I can evaluate for myself. Very honest in my book.

I came here because of a coolant leak and they told me it was the housing even though I replaced the housing not long ago. I told them this. The old man with the gray hair was adamant it was that. A week later after the repair/replacement, all of the coolant in my car was gone. They didn t fix anything. They made things much worse.I took it back to them and they told me this is just a new problem with my car even though I knew the leak was coming from somewhere else. They said it was the pump that needs to be replaced now. No refund or anything.This is why we don t trust mechanics. These guys are absolute thieves.

Very trustworthy and honest. Amazing customer service. I bought a used car and took it to Lam to see if I should buy it, and his advice was right. I did the recommended service, and I haven't had any problems. I trust them.. would recommend.

These guys rule. Lam is always friendly and listens. All the mechanics are no nonsense and do solid work. Not to mention this place is so affordable. They ve found problems I didn t know I had, fixed my mistakes, and are always reasonable on price and timing. I ve been coming here for 10 years and I don t plan to stop. Highly recommend.

I love them! I have been coming to him for 3 years. I have a jeep wrangler and patriot and i trust them!They Won't never lie about your car just to get more money.. if there is nothing wrong or a cheaper option they will let you know. If they cant do the job they will let you know. Absolutely one of the best mechanics I have ever met in my life. Not only did he have the nicest and knowledgeable mechanics on site, they also make things easier for you. I am baffled how the reviews are so good on this place. Lam is a nice charismatic man, but from my experience has no business running an automotive repair shop.When I dropped my vehicle off I told them that it was stalling at stops (which can be dangerous especially in stop and go traffic on the freeway), needed some air conditioning work, and wanted the dash light to be fixed. My vehicle was there for 2 days before I heard any word from them. I eventually got a call from Lam saying that my vehicle was ready to be picked up. I was confused because he never even called to give me an estimate or what was actually wrong with my vehicle or costs. He just started working on it without verbal or written confirmation. This seems very shady to me. He said they fixed the air conditioning and checked the dash light. He thought the stalling was related to the air conditioning somehow. He charged me $575 for the air conditioning work which he didn't perform. He actually hires someone to come in and do air conditioning for them so I was charged a premium. When I did pick my vehicle up, he flat out told me he wasn't sure why my vehicle was stalling but again thought it was related to the AC.As I attempted to drive my vehicle from his lot it stalled four times in front of him. He gave me a wave a couple times like to take care but doesn't even seem to realize that the whole reason I was there is to get my vehicle running properly.I almost feel taken advantage by this place and by its owner. I would have never approved any work to be done if I knew they weren't going to fix the most important issue which was the stalling to begin with. When I first got there a woman pulled her vehicle up yelling saying "you said you were going to fix the steering and now it's sticking! I can hardly steer and have to get to a very important doctor's appointment!" I should have just seen this as a sign and walked away from this place.

Great service, awesome prices. Definitely doesn't try to up sell anything. Best price around for a timing belt/water pump on my Honda. Lam took the time to show me the condition of the old parts he pulled off, and to talk to me about how to best care for my car. I appreciate that.

Lam is very honest and his prices are excellent. I like that I can purchase my own parts elsewhere then bring the vehicle to him to have the parts replaced. He keeps our Nissans running well, and he's never tried to sell me any maintenance that I don't need.

Absolutely one of the best mechanics I have ever met in my life. Super upfront and honest. I was allowed to bring in parts I already bought for him to work on, turns out autozone sold me the wrong ignition coils. Not only did he have the correct ones on site, but he didn't charge me as much as autozone for them. And to top it off. He insisted I use his personal vehicle to take to autozone to get my refund.

I always take my cars to Lam. You get quality work at a fraction of what you'd be charged elsewhere. He's quite popular so I'd suggest going when he opens. I highly recommend him and his shop.

We went there because our car broke down right in front of it, and they said it was the alternator. They fixed it but it s been 2 months and now we re having problems again with the alternator. We paid all the money for nothing because they didn t actually fix the problem

I trust Lam with my car and my life, he is an incredibly honest mechanic. He always has time to really explain what s wrong and he has never overcharged.I ve had brake changes, ac compressor replacement, alternator replacement, the list goes on

Highly recommend mr. Lam very honest Fair and will look out for you Vietnamese man was very considerate he fix my 91 Mazda Navajo clutch for $20 is still working I was worried and had been stranded. I told the car to him and took a walk to the bank to get money thinking it would cost hundreds I gave him lots of trinkets and batteries because he charged me so little $20 he said it was a temporary fix but it is still working. I live in Orange County but I will always refer people and bring my cars to miss the lam even though I am in Orange County

This is probably my favorite car repair shop in Long Beach area.. for a reliable and a total value for money experience, go nowhere but bring your car here. Lam is a very helpful guy and his experience, recommendations and guidance are really trustworthy..

What a welcome relief to auto repair. Found Lam by reading the reviews so I thought it was only fair to return the favor. One of the most honest and fair priced mechanics you will find. We have a Toyota Landcruiser with 140k miles on it. Was concerned when the dealer told me that the rack and pinion steering was gone and needed to be replaced + the brakes. The dealer quoted be $3300. As it turned out Lam did the whole job + fixed a door lock issue for me for $1600. I would recommend this guy to everyone. It is a little shop in not so great of town but the grief to profit is well within balance with Lam! Tom - Long Beach

I just took my 03 Buick regal to LAM an his team @ 8:40 or so for a power steering pump replacement an he had me outta there by 10:40 .... I've been going here for a few years now .... He always been reliable an fair.... Outstanding service.... Super quick an convenient for me.....
