I recently visited Elite Auto Repair on March 20th, 2024 at 2:00 pm for a routine oil change for my Lexus Gx460 2015. Unfortunately, during the service, their employee damaged the oil filter housing, causing a leak. They unfairly blamed the Lexus dealership (who provided a detailed report with no prior leaks) and refused to take responsibility for the damage.Several concerning aspects of the service raise questions about Elite Auto Repair's practices:Lack of transparency: There was no mention of the oil leak during the oil change itself.Price discrepancy: An employee, initially quoted a price range of $125-135 for the oil change. However, Hamza, The Owner quoted the price to $155.Marked-up parts: The replacement oil filter housing was significantly marked up. The part costs around $20-25 online, but I was charged $49.47 (final invoice amount).Excessive repair time: A standard oil change typically takes 30-60 minutes, but this service took an unreasonable 3.5 hours.Overall, this experience suggests a lack of honesty and customer care at Elite Auto Repair. I would strongly advise against using their services.

If you can overlook the lack of creature comforts that you might find at a dealership garage, the customer service and knowledge of this team is far greater than any I have ever encountered.In one visit this team diagnosed an issue that the dealer had overlooked after multiple visits and provided a quote as well as recommended service plan to get me where I need to be. I will happily be returning.

I was a loyal customer of Elite Auto for the past 7 years and am disappointed in the new owners. They charged me $132 to plug in their diagnostic scanner and then quoted me $900 to repair my car. All it needed was spark plugs, ignition coil and a new gas cap, which my brother (a mechanic) did in the driveway in under an hour for a little over $100. Everyone has to make a living, but ripping off a single mom is not the way.

I have been using elite auto for almost 13 years. I can always count on them to tell me exactly what is wrong and not overcharge me. They are always kind and professional.My car stopped running on Thursday in Cerritos. I was told to their shop Thursday night. They came in on a holiday (Labor Day) to get my car finished.$187 later and I am back in business.

These guys are really ! I must admit I was a little skeptical when I arrived and was told the shop is under new management. However, The new owner is doing a great job at providing the same exceptional, if not better service the previous owners provided. The mechanics are knowledgeable, trustworthy and stand behind their work. I highly recommend them. Thanks guys! Lincoln MKX

So happy I found a place like this and a person like Hamza ! What a great guy ! He s way beyond fair, honest and kind . He went above and beyond my first time there. This is my second time there and he has been wonderful. His prices are excellent and lower than the other two places I shopped around at (just to check) . This is the only spot I need for my car repairs from now on. No more price checking , this place beats them all and the customer too. Such a relief for a woman who knows nothing about cars , so nice to find a place I can trust and that has the best prices. Thank you Hamza for caring and helping me like you did !

New mechanics! Really nice people! All I did was ask about a service, he looked at my car and had the issue fixed within 15 minutes! These are different guys. Not the same people as before. I recommend!

I have been coming to Elite Auto for years before they came under new ownership. I brought my car in for an oil change and they exceeded my expectations.They corrected a few minor issues with my car that made a substantial difference in vehicle performance. They also diagnosed a power steering issue and quoted me a fair for repair.I think they strive to establish themselves as professional and courteous with their customers. I will be coming back to them.

Went here because of the good reviews. Didn t live up to it for me. I didn t realize I could spend money and get my car back in a worse condition than when I dropped it off. Went to have my AC looked at. Because of poor communication by them we were really busy and my brother left me alone I spent $36 on Uber rides back and forth over 5 rides. To be told it wasn t ready or they need more time. I was constantly having to call and check on the status. Their time estimates were so off and they don t courtesy call you for updates. Like it ll be done by 11 and you still haven t heard from them by 5. After the run around with diagnosing my car and one thing becoming another ($$$) I told them I was done and was taking my car, I didn t want them working on it anymore. After I drove off the lot I realized my instrument panel was dark. The fuse was blown and I have since replaced it several times and it continues to blow. All their tinkering screwed something up with my electronic system. So that s another thing I have to get fixed now. This is now a safety concern for me as that fuse also controls my rear lights. I give them 1 star only for having done the right thing by not charging me. Go somewhere else.

My daughter recently moved to Long Beach and was in desperate need of a mechanic. From the reviews I read, this place seemed to be an honest andtrustworthy place to go to. I sent my daughter here for repairs. They ended up charging her over $700 for Absolutely Nothing! Her car broke down in the middle of the 405 freeway a week after they supposedly repaired it. Then when she took her car back they said that her engine was blown and that it would be around $5000 for a new engine plus the cost of labor!!!! My daughter ended up taking it to another mechanic shop for a second opinion and they told her they had no clue why she was told that. They ended up replacing her fuel injectors which was the REAL issue with car and only charged her $600!!! From a $5000 plus labor quote to a $600 repair is quite confusing. This place new my daughter had absolutely no knowledge of engines or cars and took advantage of her. Now my daughters car runs like it s brand new because of the honest work from the OTHER mechanic shop. I hope this place tries to reach out and make it right after this review. THIS PLACE PLAYED ME!!!!! I came all the way out here from Northern California and I explained to him how I don t understand why my car is not accelerating. He LIED TO ME AND TOLD ME I NEEDED A WHOLE NEW ENGINE! ALSO TOLD ME THAT I HAD NO OIL IN MY CAR! I have no friends or family out here in Long Beach and my car is all I have. He took advantage of my situation and over charged me for EVERYTHING $500 for oil change? My car never had a problem where it won t accelerate, after I took it to this shop it was having that problem. I called him and told me it s because I need a brand new engine??? HE TOLD ME IT WILL BE $6000 for a new engine new oil new blah blah blah RIGHT AFTER HE ALREADY CHARGED ME $500 For oil and filter and whatever he lied about. I am so sad about this situation because I thought I could trust him. I went to autozone to get the codes, and the only thing that was wrong with my car is a fuel injector. THIS WHOLE PLACE IS A SCAM!!!! DO NOT GO!!!!!! THEY MADE ME ZELLE HIS PHONE NUMBER SO I WONT BE ABLE TO GET A REFUND! Wow I m so disappointed in this place.

EXCELLENT! Super honest! He wasn t going to charge us for the initial because the parts needed to be ordered. He even took me to the disassembled car to show me exactly what he was seeing. He showed me what indicated the problem! Because we are on a road trip, he told me exactly what I ll need to tell our local auto shop when we arrive. He even checked the fluids for us. He does what he says he will! My wife and I requested help with our brakes, and he delivered. If I lived here, he would be my go to mechanic!

Beware!! Nothing "Elite" about this place. You will need a "Complete Auto Repair" after going here. Make sure to get other quotes and ensure the prices make sense before going here.
