Jamel and Celine run an amazing shop. They are honest, reasonable priced, and great people. Even though I moved, I still come back to Long Beach for their service and keen eye. They gave me great advice on good tires, but also a friend of mine who was quoted 3000+ at other shops that Jamel diagnosed as something minor saving him a ton of money.

My car had a terrible oil leak, so I needed an honest mechanic. After reading these reviews, I figured I d give this place a try, and I m so glad I did. Turns out it was a simple fix. Honest, reasonable, and straightforward give this place a try, you ll be glad you did.

Edit. I don't take the best car of my early century truck. Thank goodness I have a mechanic that does. My 2001 Tacoma just passed 200,000 miles and I owe it all to Jamel and his team. Three years after my 1st review, I'm still completely satisfied with my neighborhood mechanic.Finding an inexpensive and honest mechanic is the holy grail of auto service . Well friends, call me Sir Galahad because I have found it. Advanced Auto has been around for a while, but now under new management, and the service is amazing. I was calling around to shop after shop looking for someone who could perform all the factory recommended routine maintenance on my wife's 2018 Corolla at a price we could afford. We decided on Advanced because they took the time to look up exactly what the factory recommendations were while on the phone and quoted me a great price. My wife and I dropped off the car and had lunch across the street at a great Mexican restaurant. By the time we finished lunch, our car was ready. Everything that needed to be checked was checked and everything that needed to be changed was changed. There was no hard sell for any extras or push for peripheral service. It was just honest work at a fair price.So when my 18 year old truck started smoking, I knew exactly where I was going to take it. It sounded and smelled like a seized pulley had stripped a belt. And Jamel, the owner of Advanced, confirmed my suspicion. It ended up being a bad AC compressor. Celine, Jamel's partner, called me to tell me the bad news, but she was forthright by telling me that the repair wasn't necessary. The truck would run fine without the AC compressor and its belt. I ran the numbers, and with a quote that was well less than the average cost of such repair and temperatures hovering around 90, I decided to get the work done.I'm so glad I found this place. Jamel and Celine are wonderful people and I am more than happy to give them my business for both routine maintenance and emergency repairs.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto brake repair, Tire rotations, Brakes, Auto maintenance, Oil change

This mechanic shop is hands down the best I've ever been to. The staff is incredibly friendly, very knowledgeable and their prices are unbeatable. They quickly and skillfully resolved the check engine light on my Subaru WRX. Additionally, they assisted me in diagnosing a peculiar sound and found a spot where a bolt was missing along the exhaust, all for free. This is just the shop I ve been looking for in Long Beach and I highly recommend their services!

I may live 300 miles away but these guys are super professional, have excellent mechanics and do the job right the first time. I would be more than happy to make the drive if my car needs any work done. I have found my shop of choice.

I have a very old car. 23 yeas old. Audi TT. Has incredible sentimental value to me. Unfortunately, I had it sitting out in the sun, not being used, for years as I used my parents' Toyota Camry - basically to took them everywhere. Well, as I no longer had to use the Camry any longer - it became a choice. The TT or the Camry. Sentimentality over came practicality, and I chose the TT. But now NOTHING works on it. And I work at a Non-Profit - for not a little bit of money.I've been desperate to find a really good... reliable... honest... reasonable... talented mechanic. Tall order I admit - I've experienced so many that were none of those things. I want so badly to make this car Cherry again, which I know is going to be a long, long road to travel. A road I desperately want to travel down. I wanted to find the right place to help me do this - slowly over the time needed to do it in. A place that knows my car and believes in my aspirations for it.Anyhow, two friends of mine recommended Jamel at Advanced Auto Service. Glowing reviews. One friend recommended to the other to go see Jamel with a Volvo that was seemingly on its last leg. So much so, he was thinking of junking it. Nope! A $200 repair at Advanced Auto Services basically saved that Volvo from becoming recycling.Well... a muffler dragging on the ground and an upcoming SMOG test forced me to heed the recommendation. I have left my little car in the amazing hands of Jamel and the crew (including David) at Advanced Auto Service.They aren aren't able to do all of the immediate repairs necessary. So they'll be some moving around. But I am so impressed and happy with what's been done so far. They're phenomenal.You can tell... can't recommend Advanced Auto Service enough. Finally, a place I can truly trust.

I ve been going here for over 5 years. Jamel is The only guy I trust to work on my car. I can leave this place knowing that my problem is fixed and I won t have a new problem next day I d recommend this place %100. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. If I could give 100 stars I would.

Jamel is a MAGICIAN, not just a mechanic. I d been told my car would cost more to repair than it was worth. Blue book value was a few thousand dollars. Jamel fixed it for less than $200. Volvos are notoriously difficult and expensive to repair. Great shop!!! Thank you

Brought my daughter's Subaru back in November to replace her rear brakes. Decided to try this shop from the wonderful reviews that I read. Was very so glad that I went to Advanced Auto. Jameel was very helpful and did not push on unnecessary repairs like other auto shop. In addition, he did a quick fix on her front bumper that was falling off. This is just what we needed instead of spending thousands of dollars at a body shop. Very grateful for Jameel to take the time to do this for us. Will definitely visit Advanced Auto for any future auto needs.Service: Brakes

Jamel and Celine were amazing. They fixed my car after it was towed to them and really helped me out. They were very kind and understanding and I highly recommend them. Jamel and Celine are the only honest people left in the business as far as I m concerned - they did a great job replacing the power steering pump on my 2011 BMW M3 (a car that I trust very few people to work on). Not only did they finish the job quickly, Jamel went way out of his way to help me with other issues he noticed while working on my car. Didn t even charge me for the extra labor. These guys are the best, you won t be disappointed.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Jamel took my car in and diagnosed my issue within an hour. I believed I would need an alignment only, but it turns out the issues were a bit more complicated, so he recommended I take it to a body shop and also told me exactly which parts were in need of service. He was friendly and not in any way condescending, unlike some mechanics in the LB/LA area who tend to make the diagnostics/repair process as confusing and mysterious as possible. I d bring my car here again if I have issues in the future, and I d recommend this shop to anyone!

First I want to thank Jamel and Celine for taking care of my car. I had a transmission pan gasket leak and they were able to take care of it right away. They are honest hardworking people who know how to take care of their customers. I've already recommended them to my friends and family. I definitely will be coming back to them!

Just got my car shipped over from hawaii and wanted to make sure the car would be okay for the cross country trip. Found these guy's on a whim, they had good reviews. Jamel and his wife, took great care of us, so honest and friendly about everything!Did a whole check out of my car, topped the fluids, put some air in the tires, for no charge at all! They definitely deserve a shout out for their impeccable service, would definitely make this my regular shop if I lived here.

Celine and Jamel are incredible! They are honest and kind people. They have great prices for such wonderful work. I 100% reccomend Advanced Auto and I have never been able to say that about any mechanic. No shop has ever been so personable, helpful and reliable. I have found my forever mechanic. Check them out you will not regret it. And the one star reviews must simply have the wrong shop. I am a woman who went alone and in the past it s scary because you feel like you can get screwed but they are so caring and honest. Thanks again you guys!!!

We are so glad to have found a great and honest mechanic. We took our 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe here in August after the dealer gave us a list of major problems that needed fixing. Jamel was able to fix our car for a much more affordable price and saved us from having to consider replacing the vehicle. He is also very honest about what work actually needs to be done and he and Celine are super nice.Advanced Auto definitely is our go-to garage when we have car problems. Highly recommend!

This place is my new favorite auto shop to take my car for any problem!! I had an issue with my car and I took it to a few different places I was told it was this and that but I brought it to this place and the guy new exactly what it was (a loose screw) so the guy tighten it and BOOM no more issue!! So it went from a 300$ dollar fix to a 30$ tip!! If you want honesty and quality work fair prices this is the place to come!!

This review is long overdue. I highly recommend this place as it's really hard to find a trustworthy mechanic nowadays and I'm glad to finally have found Jamil and Celine. I've taken 3 separate vehicles here so far and have had amazing service. Jamil and Celine are an awesome team and are straight forward honest people. Jamil is very knowledgeable and was very thor�ough in explaining the issues with my vehicles and was easy to work with. Thank you guys.

Found our new Mechanic! My car was having transmission issues after taking it to another mechanic in Long Beach... Jamel looked at the issue and figured out the issue in minutes. Extremely courteous, genuine and honest... which is a rarity when it comes to auto repair. My wife and I will be lifelong customers here - really appreciate the professionalism and knowledge.

This place is the best of any auto service shop we've been to since moving to Long Beach 2 years ago. Their prices are better and they are really awesome at customer relationships! I can't believe how much Valvoline was charging us for oil changes - never again - from now on we will always go to Advanced Auto on Anaheim FIRST for every auto service need!
