They saved my Mount Whitney trip. After blowing out a tire on the drive to Lone Pine, I was able to limp with my spare to Lone Pine Auto Care, where they got me a new tire very quickly, first thing in the morning. Yes, the tire was more expensive, but it s the only place around. Their service was quick and professional. Cash is preferred there s an extra fee for paying with credit/debit card.

C.J helped me patch my tire. I must have gotten this nail in my tire when I pulled to the shoulder off of Horseshoe Meadows Rd. Glad I noticed the bump bump bump and we found this auto place. The patch worked great, we drove the 200+ miles back home without any worries. Price was great too since I was worried we'd need to replace.

Wish I could give zero stars. The owner was rude and unhelpful with no compassion for helping travelers. If you can possibly make it to Bishop, you ll have better luck there. The mechanic at Warren s Auto Repair was super!

In August, 2018, I was driving a new RV from LA to Seattle, but the RV had one or two front tires out of balance or out of round. It was shaking pretty badly by the time we got to Lone Pine. We stopped at Millers, hoping they could help. They WERE GREAT. They worked on those two tires for hours, rebalancing and turning them around on the rims and everything, but one was actually out of round. So they sold me one new tire. At a reasonable price. And only charged me for the tire and the two balances, even though they worked for hours in the heat. Great service, nice owner and help.Service: Tires

Greta customer service. I blew a tire on my trailer on the way to go camping. Giovanni made sure I was able to make it to the campground and was even willing to stay late after hours to make sure I could get my tire replaced .

Driving home from working in Reno Nevada, We had gotten a flat tire and was able to find the only tire shop around this area still open. Helped us get a new tire and back on the road to get home to San Jacinto safe ! Friendly staff and good service!! Thanks !!

I had a tire blowout on my travel trailer on the way to Mammoth. Good thing we were staying the night Lone Pine anyway...we called Lone Pine auto Care but it was already closing time so I took my trailer the next morning. I ended up replacing all four and only took about an hour. The price wasn't too bad either. Saved my trip...

Got a flat on our way back from Cerro Gordo ghost town. Changed into the donut and made our way here. Folks were very nice - fixed the tire in no time, and we were on our way. Only $40. Not bad!Service: TiresService: Tires

I am from Denver in California for a planned road trip. In Lone Pine, my alternator failed so I hired Millers Towing to help me get into town and get a fix. After paying $840 to replace an alternator, I headed north towards Yosemite. 40miles later in Big Pine, I was greeted by black smoke and every warning light. I immediately pulled over and called the shop. I explained how there was something caught in the fan as well as a severed coolant line that appeared to be cut as a result of whatever was spinning in the fan. The technician arrived and admitted he messed up in installing the belt which was what was in the fan and severed the coolant line. After the vehicle was towed into their shop the next morning, the owner told me that the belt failing had nothing to do with them and referred me to Ridgecrest Toyota where I was given an estimate of $10k to buy a new engine. The owner is sticking with no wrong doing but it is very clear what happened. Better off walking to an airport than getting anything fixed here. Especially with the mechanic Randy, googled diagrams to make sure he got it right the second time around. Along with an owner only not at all worried about stranding a couple kids to avoid admitting wrong-doing. Unbelievable DO NOT GO HERE

I think other people are out of touch with tire prices, but there prices are pretty spot on. Our Dually tire blew out and the price charged to change it was pretty cheap! Considering it was the end of the day, VERY pleased with the service and appreciated getting us in and out!

Twice they've helped me out! Literally above and beyond. Not sure if my other review went through so to keep it short go to Millers with confidence. I'm very particular and I have zero worries having them work on my vehicles. I do alllll my own mechanic work on all vehicles sometimes even when warranty will cover. I trust very few. As clean and organized as this shop is, it should be a major key to show you how they will work on your vehicle. Thanks for the welding work on my chopper when I was stuck. And thanks for setting me up with air for my truck the second time around. Prices are very good and not overly charged as most as most shops bump up thier hours on charges. 5 star alllll day long. Thanks Millers!!

This past weekend I was in Death Valley driving my 1997 F250 Diesel pick up on the racetrack road. Anyone that knows this road knows it s in the middle of nowhere and very rough to drive. I managed to put a bolt from my AC compressor through my radiator. Yup very bad in such a place. I did manage to drive out as the leak got worst. Finally got to a place with cell phone service and contacted Lone Pine Auto Car. After hearing what our mechanical issues were the gentleman I was speaking with told us to stop driving the truck. He then inquired if we had any road side assistance to help with the towing cost. I had AAA and as luck would have it the AAA driver was standing right there in the repair shop. He asked where we were on side of road and hurried out to get us. Woohoo free tow! Awesome right. Then Clay, one of the mechanics, immediately pulled the truck in and check the radiator. Big old hole. Awesome. Little town two women at a repair shop. What on earth are they going to charge me. As a woman I have had shops try to rip me off. More times then not. It s always a concern. Luck for me I have owned my last ford pick up 22 years and know what just about every part cost to replace. When Clay came back after calling around for a new radiator I was floored when he gave me the price. Not only that but the labor cost seemed so low. I could not believe I found a shop who rushed on a Friday late afternoon to get me my parts and get us back out on the road the quickest they could, and they were super busy that day, and they didn t try to over charge us. We we re on a road trip where we camped in the back of the truck. They let us stay in their lot in the back of the building. Perfect! Place to stay, quick and reasonable priced repair on the truck. When we woke up the parts had arrived. Clay immediately started working on the truck. The owner entertained us with stories of people who broke down in death Valley and had to be towed out. Before we knew it we were back on the road. We actually really enjoyed being broken down. Thanks to all of you at Lone Pine Auto Care and Millers Towing. Highly recommend this shop.

I give this place 0 stars but ya gotta give one to write a review. I live and work in the Sierra's and my car broke down outside of Lone Pine this past summer while trying to get up to Cottonwood Pack Station. I am a packer in the backcountry during the summer and am rarely within cell service. John gave me a quote of $2000 to fix a bent rod in my engine. He said he would not pay any more than that to fix my car. In fact he told me he would try and do it for less if he could. I was out on pack trips for the better part of 2 months. He fully understood my position and what I do, so there was no rush in getting my car fixed. When I returned to the pack station in August he had called my boss to let me know my car was fixed and ready. I gave John a call to see what the total would be and was quoted $3275! I was fully prepared to pay him the $2000 he quoted me and agreed upon OVER THE PHONE. I never signed anything authorizing him to do more than that. He fully did work that I did not agree upon and is now holding my car until I pay the full amount. I feel he took advantage of my work position and did work on my car that I did not authorize him to do. If I would have known that the work was going to be more than the $2000 he quoted OVER THE PHONE, I would have told him to stop and I would figure something else out. Now I am without my vehicle and need it for my winter job. I would be very careful of this shop and the work they do. I do not write reviews often but I am now at a loss and seeking legal advice as to how he can do this.

***2010 GMC Sierra, Low Oil Pressure warning***This error came up while trailering just South of Olancha, in 100 degree heat. I had to pull off and turn off the engine. After talking to Jim extensively about all of the other diagnostics, he gave me direction to drive back to Lone Pine (slowly), find a place to stay and bring it by first thing in the morning. I did just that with no problems. The next day Jim and Clay replaced my oil sensor, sensor filter, changed the oil, and had me back on the road heading home. Without Jim's guidance and reassurance I would've been out thousands of dollars in towing my truck and trailer (based on another mechanics recommendations) with my family stuck for hours in the hot sun. I can't thank this group enough for their expertise, professionalism and guidance in solving this problem. I highly recommend this business and it's employees.

On our way from Vegas to Lone Pine in September 2017, one of our tires was loosing pressure. Alamo was not very helpful, so we went to Millers Towing. The "Tire specialist" ,as the boss called him, found a very small hole, fixed it in 10 Minutes and we could continue our tour. Thank you very much for the quick help!Greetings from Germany :-)

You are expected to essentially a "blank check" to them to work on your vehicle. Their labor cost is $160/hour! They are friendly and seemingly competent.

RV automatic leveling system went haywire. Hydraulic tube broke off, alarms ringing incessantly. But nothing actually wrong with the jacks. Brought the RV in and 5 min later, he had it fixed. Quick, short term fix, but a fix that worked. Dude worked magic!

I had them change a fuel filter, they charged me $150.00 labor, I already purchased the filter. I also didn t want to get full of diesel, changing the filter. I knew what I was getting into but FYI !
