Run from these guys! Called for AAA tow, guy towed car away and then refused delivery without additional money on the side. Absolute scam artists. Already reported to the regulatory agencies. They have a list a mile long of similar complaints. It s just a matter of time before there contract is pulled.

They picked up my Tesla after a pothole caused a tire to blowout. Super courteous staff, very attentive. I would HIGHLY recommend and I am picky.

My mom was in town visiting and her car battery died. Walter from Smittys was at our house within 10 mins of her calling AAA. He replaced her battery and ensured she was ready for the drive home. I called in advance for the following day needing a tow to a local shop, Gilbert from Smitty's Tow showed up on time and helped me out. It was raining and he took extra car of my car strapping the wheels done & taking the time to make sure it was properly secure. It was raining so making sure its properly secure made my day knowing my vehicle is safe during transport. If you need a Tow make sure and call Smitty's and ask for Gilbert

Outrageous fees and insensitive owners.After returning from Thanksgiving in Texas (95 year old mother-in-law and 98 year old father-in-law), my RV was towed while I was out of town.Yes, got caught in the 72 hour "move-it" ordinance.Luckily the Lompoc Police Dept. waived the $175 fine (thanks Sgt. Magana!), but this company is demanding $1200 as of Dec. 2, 2019 and adding $125/day!! No compromise.Even after the PD waived the fine!!!I offered to pay $300-$400 this morning, but Kimberly said no, that "We're in the business of towing, and no negotiation". Unbelievable.They should be ashamed of their unwillingness to work with me on this.I will not let this go, and will see them in Court.

Price gouging feels like an understatement for this one. Totaled a car, and had no choice to hand over my car or pay a ridiculous storage fee. I have little doubt they re making money hand over fist with this kinda tactic. Would not use again if given the choice

This was the third or forth time that I use their services and not once was I disappointed. I've been assisted by two different drivers but each of them have always been professional and very respectful and not once have they made us feel uncomfortable in any way. I appreciate how well they handled each situation and overall made it a fast process on every occasion that I had an emergency.Service: Car lockouts

I had them come and pick up my suv due to my Nissan had recalls on it and wasn t starting. The tow truck came to my place and called me I informed him that the key was in the cup holder and the driver side was unlocked due to me having to be at work. I informed him that it needs to go to Nissan in Santa Maria service department. Well I didn t think anything and I called the next day to get an update on my vehicle the lady on the phone said she didn t think my vehicle was there because she couldn t locate it. She said she would call me back well she called me back 30 mins later saying she walked around the parking lot and she found my car the door was unlocked and my key was in the cup holder. She said that none of the staff was informed about my car being delivered the way she was talking it seemed that the tow trucker driver just went and just dropped it off without saying anything to anybody and just left. I m so disappointed that this happened because something could have happened to my .Service: Car towing

If it was a negative star I will totally give them one !, I got a flat tired and it took them 3 hours to get there. I was not in safe place and they were aware of it. After they arrived to finally fix my flat tired they broke the key to the lock nut with the nut inside. I called and spoke to the manager Nick there to bring up the problem and we can find a solution to what they have done to my vehicle for not having the correct equipment to fix the tired, Ulises the person that change my flat tired stated that they will fix that . After speaking to Nick the manager I don t even know how did he even has the tittle of a manager, they have the wrong person in the wrong seat; he was rude and left me talking and hang up after all. I didn t get not respond after calling him back. If you are stuck in a situations please don t call them because u might end up like me waiting for ever .Service: Tire change

Awful business practice, stealing people cars they know can't afford to get them out of there impound absolutely deplorably. They have no sympathy, they don't care all they want is your money. They will screw you over.

Smitty towing is awesome! Super professional and prompt. I got my truck stuck in the sand and they sent someone out in 15 minutes. My truck was well taken care of, and towed out of the sand quickly and efficiently. I 10000% recommend this company! Great job guys!

All I can say is according to State Farm Insurance, who handles my roadside assistance, Smitty's along with other tow companies, refused to do any tows on Sunday. I guess they decided we should have picked a better day to have a fuel pump go bad.We sat stranded from 1-6pm, 6 miles from home, and thankfully reached friends, who were able to come out and tow us.So unlike a good neighbor, neither State Farm nor Smitty's was there. I don't know if State Farm is at fault for contracting with unreliable companies, or if the companies just refuse to work on Sundays, all I know is Smitty's and apparently other companies chose not to tow us.

Smitty's was awesome. I called for help via AAA, and got a call from a tow truck driver almost as soon as I put in my request. My car is nonstandard and the driver was prepared and equipped for it, no problem. Had me on my way in 20 minutes flat.

The worst towing in town, I waited 2-3 hours after calling in for work and it was ahead of time yet they still couldn t get here in that amount of time. I had an appointment at 930 and missed it.Service: Car towingService: Car towing

I dont like them there ways are rude and outrageous they make it impossible to get your vehicle back. when u get towed because u cant afford registration what makes you think paying 98 dollars a day plus the 350 for the tow its impossible and then when they towed my vehicle off of private property after only being there 45 min is Totally rude and wrong of them to do i hope that all tow company's and employees understand that they will rot in hell for what they do to people

It was supposed to be 90 minutes until the driver got there. Nick was there in less than 60 minutes and the car was at the shop 20 minutes later. Great job! Nick is the best!Service: Car towingService: Car towing

Was in Lompoc and needed to get keys out of my car. I called and within minutes a tow truck was there and had the vehicle open. The person I called and spoke to was very nice, and the driver was extremely professional.

You would think people would learn to keep their hands off of people.Today started out with me attempting to get them to reason with them. At the end of the day, my mother in law, is recording the Manager and the other employees as they release her vehicle from the impound lot. During the time she was recording he hits the camera. $787 to get my car out of deep sand waaaay out on the Base, but Jim, my tow guy, was patient, kind and professional. The steep bill was due to the driving distance and having to use one of their monster tow trucks...

Daniel did an amazing job and was so helpful during the entire process. My car broke down after a 16 hour shift and he arrived on time and got me to my destination right away. Thank you smitty and thank you daniel

Honestly, this was my first towing experience, and I was severely impressed with professionalism and kindness that Mason from Smitty's showed me. Absolutely wonderful (besides the, ya know, whole broken car thing) experience. 10/10

They driver dispatched was rude and unprofessional. She left equipment at my house and when I woke with the manager to have them recover their large heavy chains off my property he never showed up.
