Nery and his sons are so great! They are very reasonably priced. I have been taking my cars here for 5 years now and they have always been very honest in their communication with me, giving me plenty of options. They are very efficient and do excellent work!

HORRIBLE PLACE! DO NOT COME HERE! First i took my car here for the transmission and they didn t even fix the problem, instead they said they fixed my output seal and they said they drained and filled the transmission fluid but when i went to pick up my car from the shop my car broke down again literally 10 minutes later so i had to take it to another shop and they told me that they never fixed my output seal it was never touched and just for that they charged me $220. Then the transmission fluid they supposedly drained and filled was actually not even drained but just filled with BURNT FLUID! This is a disgusting establishment, do not give them your service or money, they are a bunch of scammers. They also have a 90 day warranty and they don t even follow through with. They ignore calls and can t even do the basics on my Toyota. $307 dollars down the drain if i could give them ZERO STARS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

I have known Nery (& sons!) for many years and have never been disappointed with their service, quality, and price. They are knowledgeable, honest, and courteous; not just with me but everyone that I know who take their cars to them. They are an asset to the community and I wish them the best.

They had my car for 5 days. No phone call regarding work needed or not determined. No level A tune up done. I was returned my car with now 3 new malfunctions showing. SRS malfunction...oh my. The clock had been stopped. Very unprofessional. No diagnostic report shown. A bad mistake to trust my car to this family of mechanics. I needed a bit of work to be done. Nothing was accomplished.

I'm a long time Lomita resident (18 yrs) and saw this auto shop pop up down the block so I gave it a go.My truck failed smog elsewhere and Nery's was a certified smog repair station. Being a couple blocks away, I figured I'd give them a shot at diagnosing and repairing my truck.When I dropped it off, I told them it failed smog (provided the failed paperwork) and that it runs rough (rich according to the failed diagnosis). Nery's quoted me $100 to diagnose the truck, which would then go towards the repair (very standard). I dropped the truck off on a Thursday evening and walked home. An hour later Nery's called to say it was ready for pick up and that it passed the smog! Great!My fiance dropped me off at Nery's and Nery tells me the total was $175.xx. I asked him to explain the bill and he said diagnoses, plus smog check. I asked him what did he diagnose? Nery said that they ran the truck on the smog machine and then performed the smog check (which it passed). I said, "OK, so I owe you $75 for the smog check." Nery was quite agitated at this point and repeated the same thing back to me, to which I responded " I understand the $75 Smog check, but what did you diagnose and/or what did you fix?"Nery had no words, was even more upset and told me he doesn't want customers like me anyway and that he would accept the $75 for the smog check. I tried explaining to him my logic in in the question, thinking maybe there was a language barrier (I was calm and collected the whole time). I explained to him that I was sorry this transaction ended like this, as I was looking forward to using a local neighborhood shop. He didn't care, was pissed off and told me he doesn't want my business.(very reminiscent of how someone reacts to being caught in a lie)Now, I always try to defend auto shops as they tend to get a bad rap by being blamed for using poor business practices. I have worked in the auto service industry for a combined 10 years (Cadillac, Toyota & Honda). I hated witnessing this, but I gotta call out BS when I see it.Sorry Nery, I wanted to like your shop. I even mentioned how impressed I was with all your glowing reviews on Google and Yelp (which you didn't seem to even acknowledge. I don't get it, maybe you were having a bad day?

I have been a customer for over 8 years and I would never consider taking my vehicles anywhere else. Nery's auto is the best auto service and repair shop in the south bay. Highly recommended!

A+++ service. I have used many mechanics for my vehicles over the years and I must honestly say that Nery's Auto Repair is by far the one that I trust the most. Nery and his expert crew have been working on my families cars for over 10 years and I do not see that changing any time soon.

They amaze me on my BMW they are very good Even if they take their time it's OK that is no problem they have to take their time to get the things right I will always recommend this place to anybody

First of all they said I needed a new MAF sensor and then they wanted to charge me a certain price ...and I said I can get the part myself that'll save me $100.. I don't think they really wanted to do it but they agreed but made me pay for the diagnosis first ( the diagnosis was a simple reading of the codes which I had already done) and based on what I know now I think in fact the MAF sensor could have just been cleaned and that it was probably clogged because of the dirty air filter ..so I don't think they gave me the best advice and maybe they even kept my old sensor and cleaned it up and are using it for something else or sold it or something I don't know
