Transmission guys can be sketchy. Lodi Transmissions came highly recommended by some car enthusiasts, and they were right. They changed my clutch, found my shifter housing a little tired and called with repair options.We had a small disagreement but the owner is a real genuine person who really cares about doing good business.I ll be seeing them on the next one!

Everytime my car needs repair/maintenance I come here. They will work with you and are very good at what they do. Jose is my main mechanic :) he lets me know in detail what is wrong with the car if it has codes, how much it will cost and when it will be done. They even delivered my car to me when I didn't have a ride and I drove her back. They did alot of good work on my SUV. highly recommend for transmission/brakes/A/C etc work. Thank you Lodi Transmission.

I ll never take my vehicles anywhere else besides Lodi Transmission as long as we live in NorCal. They are honest and do the work right the first time. The owner is actively involved and makes sure only the best quality work goes out. Jose is awesome as well

It cost me 600.00 to tell me I had to find the part myself because my van was too old "2005" so thank God transmissions by Hal found the part and fixed our van in 3 days and it only cost 450.00 + battery so it was less then I paid Lodi transmissions to tell me they couldn't help me and also the lady in there is rude!!

So recently I dropped off a G37. It had torque converter problems so unfortunately I had to replace the transmission due to contamination . They sourced a used a transmission and saved me 7-9k ! Besides the transmission shipping , they already finished it within 2 -3 days . They also found metal shavings in my radiator (contamination from transmission ) , and flushed it and saved me another 7-900 dollars . Also they found a coolant leak that I neglected for while .( I was going to do it myself ) . Anyways what I m saying is I ve been to a lot of shops and some are selfish and untruthful. Lodi transmissions is definitely a place where you can have no worries and get your car problems resolved . Might be a chunk of out of your paychecks but worth it . I had an oil change done and they did a good job. They also caught a couple things that needed attention that the dealership missed. Only con experienced is that they are somewhat disorganized. They never called me to let me know that my oil change was done, so I showed up 15 minutes before they closed and luckily it was done. I had requested a quote for a repair, but after making a couple follow up calls and waiting several days, they gave me the same quote again instead of the quote for a different repair that I requested. Even if they do good work, it's not worth the hassle of following up with them continuously, so I am taking my business elsewhere.

I had the transmission in my truck rebuilt at Lodi Tranmissions in 2018. In January 2023 I began having problems with the transmission. I spoke to the owner, Ron. He was very professional, friendly, and customer service oriented. He was able to get my truck into the shop immediately and take care of my problems. Ron was very accommodating. I will continue to take all of my vehicles to Lodi Transmissions. I highly recommend this shop. They give outstanding service!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Transmission replacement

Shop provides great quality transmissions maintenance service. Drain fluid and refill all new fresh fluids, screen and gaskets, on my higher mileage. Nissan Titans Truck. No false recommendation, suggestions. I will definitely come back for service. Thanks Lodi transmissions.

I have a Buick Enclave,that was having a shuddering and loud winning noise Lodi transmission fixed my transmission and in the process they found a crack on my radiator & I knew I was loosing fluid cause my reservoir was Allways low,well they fixed my car running smooth and I don't know why some people leave negative remarks.they fixed my car that's all I wanted thank you Lodi transmissions.

I had taken my car to be serviced by a different shop that was recommended by the dealer I purchased my vehicle from. They didn t fix the problem. We called Lodi transmission and they immediately knew the issue just by our description. I was mainly speaking with Jose, and he was very clear about what was happening, why it was happening, and what needed to be done to fix it. He also kept me updated daily, and they finished the service quickly. More importantly, the issue was fixed! I am not a mechanic or technician, so it s amazing to know that I can take my car to a trustworthy shop.Service: Transmission

Lodi Transmission goes about and beyond Customer service and Vehicle service. I have a 17 year old Jeep Grand Cherokee that had multiple problems. Rear main seal in the engine, cooling fan that didn't work, the neutral switch didn't work, the transmission needed complete service and a few other things.I am really impressed with the job that was done on all services in a timely manner and the quality of the repairs. Lodi Transmissions does excellent work and are much more cost effective than the dealerships. Ron was courteous, upfront and honest about what my car needed to safely get back on the road. LT goes the extra mile for their customers and I will happily recommend their services.

The shop did a really good job repairing my transmission. The customer service was friendly and excellent. They suggested other things that should be fixed. After getting the car back, it seemed like I got a new car. The warranty that came with it was one of the best that a shop can give.

I came into this place about two weeks ago and I spoke to Ron who I believe is the owner and he was very friendly and was able to set me up with a day so that I could drop off my Firehawk in order to look at the clutch and also replace my valve cover gaskets which were leaking oil. 2 weeks later, I brought in my Firehawk and honestly I didn't think that they were going to look at it the same day, to my surprise though they did and I got a call in the afternoon that same day from Ron and he explained to me that my clutch was okay and that the noise that I've encountered is normal from the throwout bearing and also he mentioned how my other fluids were good and also that they can take care of the valve cover gaskets. I was very impressed with how they took a lot of care and consideration with my vehicle especially with checking things that I didn't even expect them to check and I was pleasantly surprised. 2 days went by and I received a call from Ron while I was working and he told me in a voicemail that my Firehawk was ready and to go ahead and stop by to pick it up. I came by later on after I got off from work just before they closed and when Ron went over my invoice with me I was pleasantly surprised again when he explained to me how they found another issue with my Firehawk which was the PCV hose and how it was cracked and how he went out of his way to call around and actually try to find the correct OEM one for it which really shows me the attention to detail that Ron and Lodi Transmission have and the care and consideration that they put into their repairs for their customers vehicles. Ron explained to me that they went ahead and replaced the cracked hose with a straighter one that was much stronger and he went ahead and gave me back my original one which I really appreciated Ron and Lodi Transmission showing me that individual care and consideration. It means alot. My Firehawk runs even better than it did when I first brought it in. I'll definitely be coming here more often. Thank you again Ron and Lodi Transmission.

Disorganized. Boss leaves early: seems more concerned with his car racing hobby than managing this transmission shop. Short-staffed. The sole mechanic working on the day I brought in my vehicle, was NOT computer-savvy: he had trouble entering my information and printing out a receipt. It took over a week to get an estimate for transmission work repairs. At least that estimate was free. Old, dusty photos in their cluttered office further reveal this business has seen better days. This shop is not a AAA Approved Auto Transmission repair shop... Lodi Transmissions is AAA Approved. Save over a week of your time by going to Lodi Transmissions instead.

I have a 1991 Chevy Silverado that I call my 10,000 truck! Reason being I have had 4 used trannys put in it and all of them within a week are toast! They over heat then slip slip slip! Then I was referred to Lodi transmission! The tranny was overheating again I figured it was time to bite the bullet and just get a new tranny... not the case. You see I had a tranny cooler installed to prevent overheating.. well the shop that installed it installed a used cooler that was full of gunk which actually destroyed the other trannys! Lodi transmission found this issue right away and was able to repair and save this tranny quick! I'm so glad I was referred here. Awesome service! Thank you!

LODI TRANSMISSIONS IS A TOTAL RIP OFF!I just recently took my car in for a diagnosis because my check engine light was on but it was running just fine. After I picked it up it would not shift out of first gear. So i called Ron back and all he had to say was that it was just a coincidence! I then took it to Leroys in Galt and he told me that the wires connected to my tranny were unplugged and that is why it wasn't shifting!! THE MECHANICS AT LODI TRANSMISSIONS ACTUALLY LEFT THEM UNPLUGGED!! I will never return to Lodi transmissions nor will I EVER recommend anyone to them!

Brought in my 2012 Jeep Patriot. And found out the Transmission was slipping, would cost more than I had to repair so I'm going to have to junk it. But This place was very up front and professional.
