These folks bailed my elderly in-laws out today when their thermostat failed coming up the Grape Vine on the way to my house. They are honest, quick and exceptionally friendly. They were more thorough than any dealer would have been and their prices are very fair. Highly recommend them but hopefully won't need them! Thanks for getting us to them safely.

I was in the work truck industry for 18 years, I've owned a dozen used cars that needed TLC to keep moving, and I've been dealing with an overheating engine for the last two weeks. I feel like I can pretty confidently say, with a degree of authority, that these are some of the most caring and honest mechanics I've ever met in my life.I had to get towed in due to a breakdown on the Grapevine, and they were nothing but straight-up and proactively looking out for me. I've had to work on cars myself before, and I've dealt with mechanics all of my adult life, and I've never been to a shop that goes so far out of their way to reassure you they're looking out for you, even when the issue is bad news. They even gave me advice on things I could try myself to save me money, versus just doing the work even they knew I was in a vulnerable position.I would recommend this shop to anybody.

Oh goodness these lovely people were a God send!! Donna was so pleasant to work with! They went above and beyond to help me out when my car broke down on the grapevine. They were fast and communicative through the whole process.

I moved from the East Coast to the West Coast. And you can imagine my surprise when my rear subframe broke on my Mercedes E350.And I was without my longtime trusted mechanic.Before letting anyone touch my car, I did my due diligence researching a mechanic in this area.. 3 separate people that didn t know each other, referred me to one mechanic. And that mechanic is at Top of the Vine Auto Repair.The owner more than graciously worked with me on the cost of my repairs. These guys are SO friendly and lightning fast. Fried clutch? Less than a day. (And taxi service. LOL. Rick was driving by on Mil Potrero and he was the only one to stop and offer help where i was stranded)! I didn't know he was already my husband's mechanic. We'd never met.The next day I shredded my tire, had 2 delivered to them and they had them on the day they arrived.Top of the Vine. A friend's experience is that this store charges $100 to cheer up the car. Moreover, their store and the convenience store next door have been cheating people out of money. The employees at the convenience store next door were very nice and tried to help, but the manager stopped them. My friend came to this shop to have his car repaired, otherwise he would not even help. These two shops are really shady.
