You won't find a slot at certain times but you will find vehicles like this hot shot truck and trailers that have been sitting here for months now taking up spaces. Please tow them and all other abandoned equipment. so someone can use the spaces and I give 5 stars.

This flying j staff is lazy and super slow I'm leaving after wait for two hours for my shower and didn't got it in saw so many showers are open and available and idk what is the reason they not give to drivers if they don't want to give showers they can stick paper outside at the door so so lazy i never come back here i have to go to West Virginia but they just wasting time of drivers instead of waiting for showers

I should've stayed down the hill. Laundry stole my money. Then, while I slept a sneak, cut my security bolt and got into my load. Lol, nothing but walmart clothes stupid. Never again.

Two stars for parking space,and cleanliness but no laundry due to machines not working. The Wendy's food tasted ok,it is fast food after all. Store was clean and people were friendly. Would've given a 5 star had machines been working.

Very nice place very clean and organized. They have a really good selection and the staff was very friendly. We even went to the Wendy's, and everything went really well there, too.

After spending a day riding the motorcycle over the mountains and across the desert I was hoping for an old school truck stop with a driver's lounge and sit-down restaurant. Sadly they are disappearing.This updated version of a truck stop was still a welcome sight. I tried the pizza and wings from their PJ Fresh food kiosk. The wings were about like you'd expect. Breaded, frozen, heated up, and sitting under a heat lamp. The pizza... meh.There was a Wendy's there too, but I wasn't in the mood that day. After I ate I noticed the display full of fresh sandwiches, salads, and fruits. I guess I had walked right by them, but I wish I had seen them sooner. I would have picked my meal from there for sure.There were plenty of drinks to choose from, a row or two of trucker's necessities, a few rows of snacks and other convenience store items. Restrooms were roomy enough and clean.

23 people in line for showers. Two hours later, I still have 8 people in front of me. Why are they not cleaning and opening all the showers?

This is definitely good place to stop before or after hectic grades and LA area. Travel center renovated recently, clean & tidy. Large parking space and easy in / out.

Great area, fairly new and flat parking good,No trash cans in sight, anywhere around parking???Restrooms no paper towels available 6:30 am???Great place with poor management and lazy employees!!!!

The Good...We arrived to her over the speaker, Curtsey check on the bathroom, please. When we walked into the bathroom a couple of minutes later they were being cleaned, yeah.Lots of food and drink choices.The bad...You pay for the convenance. The blue tooth head phones I payed to much for wouldn t pair with my phone.

Showers always have strong odor of urine and the store manager doesn't care at all about efficiency or customer service. This location is pathetic to compared to the Petro 10 miles away. I could expose more.

Excellent customer service!!!! I had an issue with my Corporate Fuel card and they got it solved over the phone impressively fast. As a truck driver I give you all 5 .

Big parking for trucks truck stop clean and good choice of merchandise inside. just wish the was still a sit down restaurant to relax outside of the truck because sitting at Wendy doesn't feel the same

Found a bustling spot on Interstate I-5 Flying J Travel Center in Kern County. Intrigued! The Travel Center is like a busy clearing in the woods, where humans fuel up, munch, and take a break. Maybe see forest-friendly machines, like watching over the trees.The Flying J busy, and the hustle isn't bad. Maybe hear tales of the road, like sharing stories of hidden paths in the wild.Flying J Travel Center on Interstate I-5 Highway adventure! 3 stars. Appreciate the activity, but it's a bit busier than what I'm used to. May come back for the human energy and to learn more about the road. Thank you for making journeys interesting!

Dear flying J for the love that is all holy and all the baby Jesuses can you plz help us drivers out by cleaning your showers. I know this place is old and is planned to one day be remodeled ( that's what your manager keeps saying when drivers complain about the showers ) and that isn't the problem I can handle the broken tiles and holes in the walls. But in the mean time can you plz plz plz clean your showers and I don't mean the quick wipe down and clean towels that's happening now. I mean plz get rid of the sewage smell and actually clean the whole room. The inch of dust on the door and ceiling vents is gross enough but the toilets look as if they haven't been cleaned in years and has been in a frat house their whole lives. The young man who " cleaned " my latest shower said he just got done cleaning it for me. If he cleaned it why was someone else's soap in the shower? The filth and shower grime is worse everytime I shower here. I'm pretty sure you guys can afford some 409 and a rag. I love stopping here and do so weekly but plz fix the nasty showers I don't wana give petro down the road my money but your showers are by far the worst in the countrySincerely a trucker who just wants a clean shower

The best part about this flying j is the large parking lot. The store is clean and organized but if you were hoping like me that the Dunkin was an actual Dunkin, you re in for a disappointment. I tried it and it tasted like instant coffee, nothing like real Dunkin. The laundry room is closed which is really frustrating for us truckers. The shower was clean and had hot water.

Hoped for better, but not surprised I haven t been here since before the major demolition and rebuild a few years back. So glad to see the upgrades in store, food, interior seating, drivers lounge. Was disappointed that some things weren t fixed or mitigated: no restroom by drivers lounge; women s restroom for the whole place only had five stalls, and two of them were out of order; still smells like sewage down by the drivers lounge; while washing my hands in Luke warm water, temp went suddenly to hot, then back again, indicative of that spiderweb of plumbing that truck stops like to use. Overall, I m glad I won t be stopping here regularly as it s not an area I frequent. Still it has the great parking lot and cool mountain evening temps to recommend it.ETA: I just walked the perimeter of the parking lot and confirmed what another reviewer said. There are NO garbage cans anywhere around the entire parking lot! Deduct one star.

Please stop wasting our time. OK we re gonna break for one hour to take a shower but you do gas but most of the stuff here I ll take a cigarette break since like every one hour and there s like four shower Sara had to be clean and they ve been there waiting for one hour. Please stop wasting Truckers time OK we don t got all day long

Not happy with shwr service 6 shwrs we're empty but not cleaned for the nxt driver two guys ahead of me I was waiting for an hour still nothing available I should hve went to the pilot in Wheelers Junction no waiting and 5 star Clean always nxt time I know

As a truck driver and a person that frequents Pilot and Flying J truck stops, I was appalled by this Flying J. The showers are disgusting, there is no sit down and eat option, just that greasy truck stop junk. I like to stop here because it's in the "mountains" and the air is a little cleaner here, but I think I will start stopping further north where I know the place is cared for. Maybe the management needs to go back and learn how to manage the place. Pilot/Flying J should be ashamed of this place.

You can't get coffee or hot/cold drinks from 5pm till 5am.Coffee after 5am is served by worker of FJ.Due to covid-19????!!!!????. But the customer can touch other products on the shelves or open doors of freezers to buy cold drinks. NEXT BRILLIANT IDEA...2 of 4 sinks in the restroom are closed due to Covid-19 .Very nice incentive for people not to wash their hands in rush hours ,too many drivers in the line (BTW ...there are people who don't use toilet paper just fingers and water from bottle)Perfect way to spread hepatitis c or parasitic disease... Brainless management.!!!!!!!!!

My Experience was Great!!! Beautiful place surrounded by Mountains!!! Big Rigs heaven, Great Showers!!! Nicely Maintained!! Cheers to Staff & Management. This place has Wendy's in-store, DD.

This place disappoints every time, too bad I have to stop here sometimes. This flying j in particular is really dirty, undermanned and they never have soups.

Great place to visit put gas take showers wash your clothes go restroom have something to eat or if you have a long drive you could also take a nice nap or stay the night and continue your travel the following day.....

They have different set of rules then whole of America the manager here at night is very racist and does lots of discrimination with drivers from canada it s just so stupid I really didn t like there customer service

Easy to fuel big trucks plenty of room. Clean showers bathrooms not so clean... Food selection not that great... Diesel prices a little bit high

Very new, clean and very well maintented new PFJ. The cleanness extends to the grass which is very rare. Being super grateful and dog accompanied trucker. The kitchen and the food looks clean and good. Many Parking spaces and very neatly planned.
