Family has been a customer here for over 6 years. Hubert is the best most honest mechanic ever met; to the point of telling me a screw was loose in a filter cap when i took the car in for a "weird noise" it was making. He tightened the screw at no charge and sent me on my way....Rare to find a mechanic who knows his profession, has great customer service, is honest and is not condescending to us automobile-knowledge impaired.I recommend Hubert to everyone I know and have trusted my car to no one else since becoming a customer.

I was amazed how friendly everyone was at South Bay Car Care! The eye contact, the smiles and being present made me realize how wonderful it would be if everyone practiced their spiritually at their workplace too! If you re in a super hurry to get your engine oil changed, you might get faster service at Jiffy Lube but if you re able to drop off your car for a few hours and still be productive, I definitely recommend South Bay Car Care. It might even restore your faith in humanity!

South Bay Car Care is fantastic!! I brought my car in for a new battery and the check engine light was on, so they ended up fixing numerous problems and now my car runs great. They are fair and honest. Great job Hubert. Thanks again.

I have been bringing my Honda cars to Hubert for several years. His professionalism, honesty and quality of work is beyond words. We recently had an issue with a Honda dealership in the Santa Monica area that did not correctly diagnose a new 2023 Accord with 6,000 miles with a bad fuel injector.We went back and forth with the dealership who blamed the rich running engine on either diesel fuel or contaminated fuel. They recommended a fuel injection cleaning and I brought it to Hubert rather than having the dealer do the service. They also recommended draining the gas tank and new fuel filter for $2200.Hubert his staff were able to determine via video a fuel injector was leaking and was the cause of the engine running rich. Hubert's service was well worth it.We took the Accord to Scott Robinson in Torrance who made the same determination as Hubert and repaired it under warranty.

I discovered this place on accident, upon getting a smog next door. I decided to give them a try and was extremely pleased. Customer service is wonderful and personable and prices are super do able. I will Continue to use & trust South bay car care with my vehicle.

South Bay Car Care is really the bestmechanic in the South Bay. Hubert takes great care of all of our family s vehicles and I trust him implicitly. He lets us know what the problems are, what NEEDS to be fixed and what SHOULD be fixed, informing us of cost the whole time. He has saved me more me than once with same day top notch service. I took my 1994 Toyota Camry to Hubert because the dealer and 2 other mechanics couldn't find out why my Camry was shutting off while I was driving. He took his time diagnosed with the problem and fixed my Camry. Now my Camry drives like it was brand new thanks to Hubert. If you're looking for an honest to goodness mechanic, you don't have to look far he's at South Bay Car Care....

Hubert is fast and efficient at diagnosing issues. The dealership wanted to charge me $1000's to fix warning light issues, but Hubert found the actual cause and fixed for a fraction, without unnecessarily replacing expensive parts that the dealership insisted needed replacing. He is trustworthy and honest.

A gem of South Bay. Hubert provides excellent customer service. I had an engine light. I was driven to my car rental location immediately after I dropped off my car. The diagnostic and estimate was done in a very timely manner. I had meetings to attend and didn't miss a beat. My car was repaired and was ready for pick up at opening time the next morning. The cost was both fair and affordable. The work was fully and clearly explained, and done expeditiously. It was an overall pleasant experience. I'll definitely use South Bay Car Care again. And I recommend them.

Hubert is truly a great guy, extremely honest and trustworthy, and will do whatever he can to please. You really can't go wrong with having him care for your cars, as he has done for my 3 cars over the past 7 years! I have no hesitation recommending him to anyone; I just hope he doesn't get so busy that he doesn't have time to fix and maintain my vehicles!

Hubert is truly a one-of-a-kind gem! His knowledge and expertise is equal if not surpasses many master mechanics hired by dealerships that charge markups to compensate for their overhead. South Bay Car Care is a small and unassuming shop, but pumps out quality work paired with honesty and integrity, efficient scheduling, and always the most earnest advise. I ve waited two years before writing a review to be certain of consistent work, now I can t stop praising and referring Hubert to everyone I know!
