Jose is awesome. I inquired about an out of state emissions check and he responded quickly via email to tell me the total price out the door. No appointment required. Upon pulling up to his test center, he quickly guided me in. His communication was clear and concise. It was only 15 mins from start to finish. The only issue for me was it took a little longer for him to read the tiny font on my out of state driver's license. I also got another out of state emissions check for $5 cheaper closer to where I live. If you're in the Lawndale area, this is a solid smog test center to get your cert.

It was an in & out situation. Not very friendly but that's okay with me I'm not there to make friends. Cost me $53 that's what the $10 discount for being a repeat customer when small little stall for a service one person doing the service so I had to wait my turn but I got it done that was the most important thing and I passed

I showed up around 9am for a smog check, I was in and out in about 15min or less! Quick, easy, and the price was right, definitely recommend going to A1, I'll be going there from now on!

Jose was very professional, extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating , not just in person but also over the phone. I definitely recommend his services and should the need arise will also make use of his services again. The service was fast. Took only a few mins. But the guy working there was def a creep and bugged ne by asking me questions about my culture, suggesting I divorce my husband and marry his boss - I didn t feel comfortable taking my car here and I hope he doesn t ac this way with other women. I didn t engage much in conversation and just wanted to get the smog check done but if I had more time/energy, I would him given him a lecture or two.

Slow service, long delays, and no real sense of urgency on the part of the business. Minimum hour and a half wait, just to get started. One quick call, I found Aloha Smog a few minutes down the road. No long wait, excellent customer service, in and out in under 30 minutes! A1 just didn't seem to think customers have the choice to go elsewhere, so why work hard? Sorry, but I wouldn't recommend this shop.

Very quick, professional, Jose was great and was able to get to my car within 15 minutes of me calling the shop. Car was finished about 15 minutes after I got there. Great price too since they take online coupons! I highly recommend!

Affordable smog check. Open 7 days. No fuss straight forward service. Call before coming down. Five people, 4 of which stayed, showed up during the 40 mins it took to finish the car in front and mine. About 20 mins for each car.

When I went here several weeks ago, I wasn't told that they weren't taking cards, only cash. I didn't have any cash on me. He did the Smog check then I had to drive to a bank to get $50 to pay for the Smog check. I had to wait in line at the bank so long to get the exact amount. I wasn't sure if the ATM gave $10 bills, so I had to wait in line. Then I had to go back to the smog check place to pay and get my papers. So, just in case, have some cash on you when you go here.

I called in to see if I needed reservation, just in case, but they were kind enough to tell me their hours and that reservations were unnecessary as it was first come first serve. Jose helped me and was very patient with me, whom was having a hard time settling in because I was also on the phone for work. Was told it would take approximately 12 minutes per vehicle and was very accurate. Will definitely recommend coming here for your smog checks.Service: Smog certification

I thought i would support our local business only to be greeted by a rude gentleman with glasses. Didn't want to even answer a simple question. Got up and walked away talking about he's busy. Be grateful your busy! Don't take your job front granted. It's not rocket science sir! It's just a smog!!!!!

small shop - enough for one car at a time. i didn t have an appointment (and i don t know if they do appointments), but when i arrived there was a car inside and one waiting. once it was my turn, the process was fairly quick. i don t know if it was the masks or the shop fan or something else, but i had a really hard time understanding anything being spoken. i honestly don t know what it normally costs to get a smog check, but i was charged $55 and got an email receipt almost immediately, which was nice. i d go back.

Time for Smog Check, so looked up my options on Google Map near Gardena/Torrance. Found this place with most positive ratings (over 200), so I decided to give it a try. Found a coupon online (as well as their web), able to use it without any issue. Service was quick, I was in & out in about 15 min. Possible outcome (If the car doesn't pass) was cover at the beginning, so my expectation was clear. Highly recommend this place for your next Smog Check service.Service: Smog certification

The location is convenient from my home (~6 minutes) and I was immediately serviced by Jose. He was a pleasure to talk with while my car was being tested. An online coupon saved $10 off the regular price and I was done within 20 minutes.

This place is great. Only takes a few minutes if all is good with your car. Plus you can get $10 OFF with a coupon on their website.. you just mention the $10 off and they'll give it to you with no hassle.
