Hank! Thank you again for the effective communication, the problem solving skills, and your honest and friendly demeanor.Brought my Honda Accord with 530k miles here and Hank replaced the clutch, cables, fabricated and welded other parts that were not OEM available and it's like having a whole new car again. I'm sure it'll go for another 500K miles.Thank you for taking a look at the Chevy Silverado and for the options you suggested. Your service is very much appreciated. 100% recommend Lathrop Transmission, trusted professionals.

This business is ran by Hank, who is a very good mechanic. He s super friendly, honest, and helped me to replace the engine on my Prius, which was no easy task. It was a big process but he helped me to save a lot of money ultimately. He replaces my oil. He will always pick up the phone if you call during business hours. I highly recommend him to anyone in the area! Plus he has a cute cat named Kat :)

The owner is a such a nice guy, he is very thorough and reasonable. He rebuilt my deceased husbands transmission, when everywhere else told me to dump it. You won't be disappointed.

The owner of this business, Hank, is one of the most honest wonderful mechanics I've ever done business with. As a woman who knows NOTHING about car repair, I know that I've been overcharged and lied to by other mechanics just trying to make a quick buck. This business is not like the rest. I trust him because there have been multiple occasions when he could have charged me for services I didn't need, but if I don't need something done he will tell me. I thought I needed new brakes and he said my brakes looked good that I didn't need anything done to them. Do you think any other mechanic would have done that? I know if I had taken it to any other place, they would have charged me for new brakes that I didn't need. While other places were going to charge me over $5000 for a transmission, I only had to pay $1800 here. I'd give more than 5 stars on this review if I could!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Oil change

I called them for advice on my vehicle and they helped me figure out my decision on what to do next with my issues. Very helpful and friendly customer service. Not to mention he was sick while assisting me on the phone. That's a solid business man in my opinion. Definitely would refer them to anyone with transmission problems

0 miles, rebuilt transmission opened by other shop found: bad bushings, bad clutch, bad clamps, incorrect bushings (used old and new pancaked together), bad rods, didn't replace any gaskets inside. Won't honor warranty or even discuss it. Owner is a jerk to top it off.

Called in regarding a transmission for a 95 Subaru Legacy and was given some excellent advice! Recommendation and advice was to pursue other options because of cost; but was super helpful. Appreciate the honesty! Will trust them for repairs in the future.

Never gone to a shop that tells me how to fix a problem until I took my 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan to Hank.told me I should replace a sensor on the transmission.. sent me a text so I could remember what he suggested..he told me I could do it myself or bring it to him . I did it myself and saved money. This is not the first time Hank has saved us money.. honestly..Service: Transmission

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE. He will rip you off. I took my Jeep for transmission repair. I got it back in the same condition it was when I took it in. I had to pay $840.00 to get my vehicle back. BEWARE

The owner changed his price 3 times.I was originally quoted a price of about $2300. 2nd price $3,000. And the last price of $3500.00. And he wants the $100.00 DEDUCTIBLE. Especially when he found out I had Insurance. Thats still not fair.I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE AGAIN!.AND NO ONE ELSE SHOULD.HE WILL LIE AND RIP YOU OFF!

Hank the owner is fantastic. Stayed late to diagnose our transmission problem and got moving on the repairs immediately so we could get back to work as soon as possible.

They charged me 400 to do a job then they didn't finish the job and blamed me for not being able to finish. They try to confuse you using lingo they think you won't understand. He was clearly making up words. I would never go back there again. After I left I went to another mechanic and he fixed the job and only charged me 100.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I went to this shop for an estimate. Owner is very friendly as well as informative. Had great hands on knowledge. Price was reasonable as well.
