There are several upholstery shops in East County, and though Carlos shows promise of good work, he lacks in the area of customer service. The worst of of it all, he continues to state he has never performed work on half of what he receives negative feedback from.The aforementioned owner and operator, Carlos is unprofessional and vague. Though his pricing is among the best in the county, his customer service and greed cloud his business. Set up two appointments, by which I had to cancel due to an on call job. Rather than listen or allow me to reschedule, he stated he would not do it for me because I missed the two appointment and cost him money. Best of all, he was rude on the phone rather than professional. Would NOT recommend an unprofessional business owner in a market where there is so much competition. Unless you are ignorant and feel that customer service consists of refusing to provide service, then you must not be an experienced customer service scout. In fact, I recommend El Cajon Auto Trim Shop. They have competitive pricing, good work, and family owned. Lastly, they will not turn away customers with work conflicts.

I'm an intense and thorough shopper. We are in a world where customer service is fading fast. Years ago I found Winter Gardens Upholstery. The owner Carlos has always given me the best service, quality products and a fantastic price. ALWAYS. This is my one stop, go there first and no need to compare. He gets it right the first time and I look forward to taking my business there again. If you are a whiner, he won't give you a reason.

This place is a hidden gem. I have had them reupholster dining chairs and bar stools. After getting the quote, I checked several other upholstery places in east county, and all of them were more expensive - some "just" by 60%, some by as much as 350%. On top of them, pretty much all of them had a turn-around time of 1 week or more.I went with Winter Gardens Auto Upholstery, and not only was the price great, but the turn-around was amazing, too - I would drop off the batch of seats and get the message that they were ready either the same day or the morning of the very next business day. On top of that, the owner was super nice and replaced the seat foam cushions, too, even without me having to pay extra - not promising that he will do that for you, but it just shows that he takes pride in the work his shop does.I was so happy with the work that I also had them to re-do the armrest in my car for roughly the same price that I would have had to pay for just the vinyl cutout from eBay.Highly recommended.

Carlos is always professional with fair prices. I've been several times and Carlos and his son have always down an incredible job with great materials. They also respect your time and get things done in the timeframe they promise and will be honest with you about what can be done. Also, their customer service is friendly and next level. Great place good pricing. Wonderful work installing a new headliner in my 1992 Silverado extended cab pick-up! Only $205 for a 4 hour installation! The son of the Founder is now running it, and the teen grandson helps too. Nice place, but best to call for an appointment or over the phone estimate.

Had my headliner replaced, just after 1 year I noticed air pockets. Went back Carlos says oh well I have a six month warranty. Really six months. If you want your headliner to last 1 year this is your place. I won t be going back. $225 down the drain.

This place quoted me for a small upholstery install for $450!! go right down the street to upholstery place on greenfield and it was $100! Good job taking advantage of American people during rough times. Then I questioned the man on the phone and he says go eff yourself!! Never use this place EVER!! I ve seen they re work and it s not any better or worse than the shops that are 1/4 of the price. Call around and see for yourself. . Speedy service! I had a couple of tears in my drivers seat of my Subaru Outback. I called on a Thursday before 8am, they said I could come by and let them look at it. Took 4 cushions to him for my customer and he quoted $200 each. Told me he was going on vacation and won't be back for 2 weeks. Brought them back 2 days after he returned from his vacation and he raised each cushion $40 and told me the 2 tone was too difficult for him to do. REALLY? If you don't want to do or too busy just say it.PEOPLE, there are a lot of good upholstery shops out there. Read the customer service reviews as I should have had done. Very rare I give bad reviews.

Great fast service. Quality of workmanship was excellent. Very reasonable priced. If your looking to get your auto, golf cart or boat done this is the place to go.

I just got my seats back from these guys and it s the worst job I ve ever seen! They were super overpriced and super rude but a friend recommended me to them so I went with them. Amazing job and prices! They re super nice and let you pick out the fabric and walk you through the process. Also extremely fast with everything. Would definitely recommend!
