I was introduced to Jack by a single mom.� When my car was no longer covered under the service warranty, I dreaded�having to take my car to the dealership and pay an exorbitant�amount of money for service.� Not only is Jack's pricing very fair and competitive, he's extremely knowledgeable, kind, resourceful, and has superior customer service skills.��My 2014 BMW 335i was in need of new brake pads and rotors.� Jack provided me with an explanation of the diagnoses, an estimate, then quickly started service on my car.� I'm so grateful to have�a honest�mechanic.� I highly recommend DA Imports.� I'm proud that I can support a family owned business.� When you visit Jack, make sure you ask him to show you pictures of his new pup Zeus.� I have a feeling Zeus is going to be the mascot for his shop.

My wife and I are extremely satisfied and thankful for Jack at DA Import. He has been the trusted service provider we have been looking for. He is professional, honest and does great work in a timely manner. Unfortunately we had to learn our lesson the hard and expensive way by dealing with other BMW repair shops which claim to be great service providers. thousands of dollars later, back and forth to the shops for problems that they said they fixed but didn't etc...what a pain in the a@@. One problem after another, BS stories and costs upon costs....We researched and tried DA Import and they have earned our business and as new extremely satisfied clients and we can not thank them enough for doing such great work, explaining the problems and issues and also letting us know what the solutions could be and costs. no BS just great work and good costs...I can honestly say that we trust them and that does not come easy. If you are looking for an outstanding BMW and Mercedes shop then stop looking and contact Jack and George. You will be very happy with the results, costs and professionalism.Thank you Jack! Its hard to find a good mechanic to work on my S63 AMG, I am really happy to have met Jack and I think his service is great. I don't enjoy going to MB dealerships for service, everything is way expensive and I've tried independent mechanics that just don't seem to do the work correctly, and they are still expensive... I'm just looking for a mechanic to do the job right the first time and charge me a fair price. Good service, fair price, job done right the first time and Jack is a nice guy to do business with. I'll still need to go to the dealer for some services that independent mechanics can't do... for everything else Jack has earned my business now and in the future.

We just recently took our 2005 BMW X5 with 146,000 miles to Jack for some service and repair of a few minor items. I just have to say that Jack and DA Imports are awesome! I went through the list of items that I wanted Jack to look at. He provided great advice around what items to work on for a relatively old BMW and what small items to just leave as the labor effort was rather big and the little annoyances would not be worth the cost of the repair.It is so comforting to take your car to a person like Jack, who is going to give you great advice and at the same time do such a quality job on your car. Thanks guys, we will be back next time one of our cars needs something!

It can be hard to find a mechanic that you can trust but I found mine. Jack took great care of me. He was super helpful and gave me a good deal on the repairs for my car. Even though I had a Ford he was still able to fix my driver side window, my transmission and check my a/c. A friend referred me to DA Import Specialists. Jack is an Army vet and a 2nd generation mechanic who specializes in European vehicles, especially Mercedes Benz and BMW. He has the experience, knowledge and love of these cars that s needed if you own a classic vehicle, or any Imported vehicle for that matter.I just acquired a MB 560sl which needed a 60,000 mile service as well as a safety inspection and repair of a heater valve - discontinued by MB. Jack gave me an estimate. He started his work and advised me on other items he discovered that needed repair. Jack had me come to his shop to visually inspect the issues and put the additional repairs in writing. Jack put in a huge effort diagnosing the problems, especially that tricky heater valve, which he resolved to perfection. My friend was right, Jack is an honest, experienced mechanic that knows these vehicles. He treats customers with respect, is fair and is careful with your car. Well done, Jack.

The fear of buying an older BMW is the potential repair costs. When the car wouldn t start, the search for an honest and quality shop began. I read the outstanding reviews and called DA Import Specialist. I spoke with Jack and knew we had found the right mechanic. You will get an honest diagnosis at a fantastic rate. My fears are gone and Jack has a lifelong customer. I m trying to get him to work on my other non German cars as well. If you need an honest shop, believe all the reviews and give Jack a call. If you have an older or vintage Mercedes Benz, this is where you want to take it for repairs and maintenance. Jack is a very conscientious mechanic and understands that customers do not want to pay crazy prices to keep their cherished vehicles in good order. He will do everything in his power to minimize the costs while maintaining the service that a Mercedes Benz owner is used to. I am an original owner of a 1995 C220, and if it were not for him, I would have gotten rid of it 5 years ago! Because of him, the car is excellent shape!

Jack was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me in great detail. I wasn t sure what to expect being that this was the first time I had to bring my BMW X5 in for a problem. He made me feel confident that he knew a lot about what was possibly going on with it. He didn t charge me an arm and a leg, he got quality parts and got it up and running in only a couple days! Jack is the best! He always goes above and beyond with his work and I'm always impressed with his knowledge and friendliness. I was recommended by a close friend and whenever someone had car trouble I always try to send them his way. He had saved me a lot of money as well. The dealer was charging me $2000 for a timing belt change and he only charged me half of the price. Jack is a great guy with a lot of car knowledge so if you're looking for some car help I definitely recommend da imports.

D.A. Import Specialists are amazing!!! I had my "A service" "B Service" and brakes worked on and each time I was surprised at the turn around! Jack is honest and communicates well with his clients. So trustworthy and patient. Women, no need to fear going to the mechanic by yourself ...Jack is a man of integrity! He is upfront and honest and you will not be taken advantage of. Jack is so conscientious of his client's schedule, polite and addresses his his clients with sir and ma'am every time. If you need BMW, Mercedes Benz or Mini Cooper service....D.A. Import Specialists is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! You will not be disappointed! It is a true blessing to have such a great master mechanic!

My husband and I took his Audi and also my sons Bmw into DA imports for a number of different things. Not only was the experience professional, and done in a timely manner, but the service itself was impeccable. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I definitely would! I recommend everyone to take their car service needs to this amazing business. You won't regret it thank you for all your hard work we will definitely continue to bring any future repairs and send as many referrals as possible you rock !!!

Update: August 31, 2013 - Jack now exclusively services our family of BMW and Mercedes vehicles totaling 10 - he offers dealership guarantees on his work but charges fairly.DA Imports is a great family style business. Jack has helped my wife and I on our X5 and 325i and 528i. We've had numerous scans, tune ups, brakes, oil changes, and repairs. I drive my car hard and he keeps it clean. He is always doing excellent work, doesn't try and push the extra labor, in fact, he is a great value. In addition, his father has begun to work on referrals of Mercedes BENZ, as he specializes in Mercedes repair and restoration as well.Cutberto, Irvine

This review is about a month overdue so i apologize! brought my 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL in thinking it was going to be a huge repair, Jack was very friendly and made sure i knew the car would be taken care of. turned out to be shot engine mounts which were replaced super fast. Charged my battery for free, gave advice on routine maintenance, showed me some of the interesting points of the car, and just gave very reasonable and awesome service. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone who needs help with a classic MB and i will be coming back soon for a VCG. These are guys who actually care about the cars.

My husband and I have been taking our BMWs to Jack and George since we moved to Irvine about 5 years ago. You cannot get better service and repair work done by anyone at better prices. They take care of all our inspections, brake jobs, oil changes and repairs. They have all the latest equipment and know the cars inside out. We so prefer these guys over the local dealership any day.Thank you Jack and George for giving us piece of mind with our cars.

I can t say enough positive about D.A Automotive. I was a loyal customer with another highly recommended local mechanic, but after going in time and again for the same issue for 6 months, I found Jack at DA Automotive. I took my poor car, virtually after not really driven for months, in for help. Not only did he go through and explain and show me the work that needed to be done, he worked within my budget, and competitively priced for all the work that was done. I got my car back, not only with the original issue solved, but with the car running better than it has in years! Honestly, it was like I got a new car! You will only be pleased working with Jack, and I guarantee I will convert all my friends who drive Mercedes or BMWs to bring their car to him. If you need a talented, honest and friendly mechanic, there is no better option than DA Imports.

I trust taking my car here. I would consider Jack and expert in working with my old mercedes. He has kept it running for me and has been very accommodating whenever I have had issues. His repairs are very reasonable and nothing is ever a surprise, he communicates what is needed clearly and timely.

What a wonderful experience! That's not something I normally say about a car repair, but in this case it was true! Jack showed me everything that needed to be fixed and explained it clearly and made sure I got all of my questions answered. When I went to pick up my Mercedes, it was washed and running like a champ. Jack showed me every part that was replaced and took me on a test drive to have me see for myself. He was honest, patient and willing to stay late to accommodate my schedule. You can't get better for your import than D.A.!

This is a privately owned generational business that is focused on quality workmanship, honesty, integrity and promptness. I live out of state and needed a pre-purchase inspection regarding an extremely low-mileage older Mercedes without the selling dealership's influence. What was represented as a pristine automobile turned out to be one with several significant flaws documented through pictures, code scanning and well educated expertise. Jack went well beyond what one would expect in his analytical approach and I could not be more pleased with the end result. Such high quality service is so seldom experienced in today's automotive shops and honestly - their passion for automotive excellence and customer care is really quite remarkable.

Jack knows cars and he knows how to handle customers resulting in a 5 star rating. Jack has been repairing my 1986 Mercedes for the past 8 years maintaining my car and solving some complicated Mercedes mechanical issues. Jack got it done for me.

DA Imports is the best. They always take care of me and my car, they are friendly and I completely trust their professional assessment of my car. On top of all of this, I have saved thousands of dollars over the years taking my BMW to Jack and DA Imports instead of the dealer for repair and service. They make it worth keeping my high milage BMW that I love. They have a customer for life.

Jack the owner is very passionate of his work and it shows from the results he has been servicing my cars for over 15 Years. I highly recommend taking your import car for services. You can save time and $ by going straight to him for services. :)

We travel full time in our MBZ Sprinter-based motorhome. While looking for an alternative to the high prices at the local MBZ dealer, we found Jack at D.A Import Specialists. Jack took the time to explain all that would be done for our 60K mile service, going so far as to show me the high quality filters he uses and why those filters are the ONLY ones he uses! We were impressed with Jack's quality of work done at very reasonable prices. Several times over the course of our travels we have had issues with our Sprinter; a phone call to Jack was always answered with reassuring answers and appropriate direction. Although we are only in the Southern California area on rare occasions, we make it a point to bring our Sprinter in to Jack at D.A. Import for any needed repairs or service. Even though he is extremely busy, knowing that we are just passing through Orange County, Jack always seems to "squeeze" us into his busy schedule to get us back on the road! Support your best local independent import mechanic! Take your precious MBZ, BMW, Audi, or Sprinter to D.A. Import Specialists! Thanks, Jack!

I should have posted a review a long time ago but better late than never! Honestly I could go on and on about all the good things I have to say about DA, Jack is the bomb! Extremely knowledgeable explains everything to you in detail and gives you some damn good deals. Im a young guy so I only had a limited supply of money that I could spend on my 2001 540i, jack understood that and helped me out big time! My car wasn't in the best shape when I brought it in, but I tell ya what when I got it back It felt like a new car no joke. This was over 6 months ago and my car is still purring like a kitty haha thanks jack I will be bringing my bmws here for life and will recommend anyone with a BMW or Mercedes to you!

My experience here was way better than I expected. Jack is so knowledgeable and honest. He took care of my SLK 55 AMG and did such a great job. What I'm so impressed with is his integrity. Great service here so don't hesitate to use them! Having been raised by my dad who was also an honest mechanic, I guess I just know one when I see one :) !

I have been taking all my cars to DA Imports for over 10 years!BMWs Z4, X5, 320ic - Porsche Cayenne Volvo S40This father-son family owned business shows what happens when you mix honesty, great skills and hard work together. George and Jack have always taken care of my family and me with all our car troubles, maintenance and regular upkeeps. Very knowledgeable folks, with all the latest tools and always available to help. They are a 10 in my book. We feel so lucky to have found them!
