Been coming here for 10+years! They always explain the problems with my car and provide reasonably priced solutions. I feel safe in having my friends and family come here knowing they will receive good and honest service.I also agree with a previous reviewer. The couches are extremely comfortable!

I came here to get a prepurchase inspection on car a was thinking about buying. Rick helped me out and he was very helpful. Gave me a very through inspection and honest feedback. Helped me make the right decision. Overall I was very satisfied, would come back again, if i was in the area.

My mom took her car in for a smog only two years old and failed smog.My moms car had low mileage and never failed smog never even had a check engine light.These guys are no good !!!

THEY ARE A SCAM RUN! DO NOT PUT ANY OF YOUR MONEY OR TIME INTO THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!I personally don t even want to give you 1 star the guy Rick is very rude does not let you talk or even try to find out about your car. He guessed on everything he said wrong with my car and turns out my car is still broke and not fixed. It s currently even worse now then when I brought the car to get fixed first. I paid over 700$ to fix things that didn t even need to be fixed immediately! My second opinion let me know they are a scam and don t know what they are doing! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! I am taking them to court and we will get this settled! I asked nicely for a refund but Rick gave me attitude and told me let s go to court so that s where we will be going! I m so mad I didn t read the reviews at first but this is a lesson learned. They will charge you hourly just to get money! They don t care about your car honestly they just want money to keep the business running. And when Rick see s that you know better his only response is my bad this business is a joke and please please BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been coming here for the last 10 years. Prices are always fair. Very trustworthy mechanics. Work is done fast but also done right. Waiting room has the most comfortable couches I've ever sat on.

MUST READ!!! (April 2023)I took my truck to have a fuel pressure sensor replaced, which is located on top of the fuel tank. That means you must lower the tank to get to it. This part is available ALL DAY LONG everywhere for $25-$35. He charged me $125! + labor. It came to around $360.A few days after, I filled up my tank and immediately there was a very strong odor of gasoline. I looked underneath and I could see it was leaking gas. I took it back and he said the tank is cracked and I needed a new gas tank. I told him your guy must have caused the crack when he replaced the sensor because it wasn't leaking before. But he said "no way our guy did that". He said all he could do was put a sealant on it to stop the leak until I can find a replacement gas tank.So the tank HIS GUY CRACKED is costing me another $500+ on a truck with over 190,000 mi.After reading the numerous BAD REVIEWS I'm not sure he even replaced the sensor! So, I decided I could either SUE THEM or write my own review.Lesson learned: when you find a good, honest mechanic STICK WITH 'EM! There are very few of them out there.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE !!!!!! DO NOT TRUST A MAN NAMED RICK THIS MAN TAKES ADVANTAGE OF CUSTOMERS ESPECIALLY WOMAN!!!!! Rick was very rude and unprofessional when I had any questions about the service and went as far as slamming the hood of my truck very unnecessarily and rude. Very unclean business. Went in for a simple alternator change ended being ripped off for $390 for a separate part ( part was not new they just cleaned it up with degreaser) and still did not diagnose my alternator what so ever made me buy a new battery. In total came out to $850 dollars and still did not begin to work on my alternator . Even though I had bought a brand new alternator Went in today to give them another chance (BIG MISTAKE) wanted to keep my old alternator and have me buy a new one off them . These people should be ashamed of themselves as mechanics and as a business . If I could give negative stars I would give negative 5 .

First time customer, went in because the oil pan drain plug needed repair. Rick made me fully aware of best and worst case scenario, thankfully, he and his team were able to successfully get the job done and save me a costly oil pan replacement... might still have to do that eventually but not today! Thank you Rick and team!

These guys replace my engine a year ago and charged me for a new wiring harness for my spark plugs on my car they put the old harness back in and almost a year later my car broke down and I almost had to replace my engine again. They charged me for new parts and I am so not satisfied. Don't trust these guys they overcharged spend your money somewhere else.

I wrote this on Yelp as well because I want everyone to know. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, these people should be ashamed of how dishonest the workers can be. My family was SCAMMED for a couple thousand dollars and did NOT even fix our car. They just made it work for a 2 days then it had more problems then we came back in. DO NOT listen to the fake reviews they get people to write. This is the worst place, a bunch of thieves. They said it was going to cost 800 then raised the price last minute. Do not go here and do not trust any worker, especially the guy named Rick. Horrible. They take advantage of women because they think they dont know anything about cars and prices. I took my car in and totally got ripped off, they are good at pressuring you into paying for something trust me. You've been warned.

The place was able to help me out when I was in a bind with my car. They work with a financing company to help pay for cost of repair/deductible. I felt the owner was trying to see how much he could charge me because I was a woman. I asked for a specific repair and he tried to charge me more by offering to repair other damages. Luckily I had my boyfriend to help me out over the phone to let me know what was fair and what was not. I was given an initial repair time and had to wait an additional day for the repairs to be completed. Once I got my car back it looked brand new. So overall I would recommend but I do think if you shop around you could find something cheaper. If you need help financing the repairs they do offer assistance with that part which is a plus.

Had an issue with my vette not starting after driving it somewhere. Called up Rick to handle it. Immediately he relied no problem bring it over. As always, Rick, Bobby, and the Team make it happen. Took the vette for a great Sunday cruise up to big bear lake with several stops along the way and it started like candy each time. Thanks Team I appreciate you always and you ll always service my cars.

This business is very unorganized. They do not know how to do good business. The owner is very cheap and will lowball you when trying to service their building for anything other than mechanic work so I could just imagine how they do business with their customers. A man named rick does not know what he is doing as well setting appointments with people and not following thru. I will be reporting this business to the better business bureau. So unprofessional!

Great prices and great service. My family has gone to them for 20 years since the Dad owned the company. Go here for synthetic oil changes that are way cheaper than jiffy lube. Get smog check and service.

AVOID!!These guys will try to take advantage of you. A few months ago, during the beginning of the raining season my car was refusing to start. I took my car into them because they've done good work for me in the past and are very close to my house. After over a week, they told me I had water in my engine, which they said mixed with my oil so my car refused to start. Basic chemistry states that oil and water separate unless some binding agent is applied. That was the beginning of the fishiness. They told me my car was done and that I needed to buy a whole new engine, which I wasn't going to do. I was speaking to my wife about possibly selling the car and Rick was along the corner easedropping. Once I came back to tell them I'd skip on buying a new engine I said that I'd probably just sell the thing. Rick was pressuring me hard to buy and engine but I refused saying I'd rather buy another car and just sell this one, then he told me nobody would buy it and he'd buy it for 200. Bobby came out, asked him what was wrong with my car and Rick simply said "engine" which then Bobby proceeded to try to sell me a ln engine. I made a hard pass and paid for the diagnostic and spark plugs which came out to be 100 bucks. Once I paid, I got in my car and after about 3 times I turned my car over and drove off. I ended up taking my car to a mechanic in long Beach that my wife referred to me, whereas he repaired my car (dried out my spark plugs and gave me a engine cover) for 200 bucks. The price Rick and Bobby tried to buy my car off of me! These guys will reel you in with decent work but try to rob you blind. AVOID THIS PLACE ESPECIALLY FOR ESSENTIAL WORK, THE WILL TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!

I found the VJ smog test coupon to do the smog test for $20 and when I got there they told me it has to be $40 and that's when I had qualms about this company. They did not passed my smog check test and asked for another $90 for further diagnosis. After the diagnosis I was told that I need to pay them $1,300 in order to get the smog test pass which include top engine cleaning, c$800 catalytic converter, $200 oxygen sensor which in total cost $1,300. I left instantly and had another mechanic I know replace the oxygen sensor by buying a $25 part. After that insulation I drove a few hundred miles and was able to pass the smog t3 st at a second smog test company.Before I went to another company to do the second smog test I called VJ and ask them if they would let me do a free retest. The guy there says retest are free only when paying for the repairs otherwise I have to pay a $25 return fee. The other place that I did my second smog test is only charging $8 for additional smog retest. All in all I had a really bad experience at BJ Auto Repair and I would not recommend to anybody at all unless you want get ripped off and very bad service.

We started going to VJ's six years ago when we bought a used Mustang GT that needed a lot of work. VJ's was recommended to us for high performance car maintenance. They had the Mustang roaring like new in no time. Since then, VJ's has maintained all of our family's cars. Bobby, Rick, Joshua and all of the mechanics have provided great advice and service.

Let me say that these other reviews sound strage and wierd. cuz this place sucks.maybe they cleaned up there act but i doubt it. if i still had my paper work i would call the BAR. (beuro of automotive repair) the bs. level was threw the roof! i had evil thoughts of burning the place down. okay so i bring in my 96 caprice-needed a smog.it failed 3-4 times. the smog dude put it on the rollers each time...1st no MIL light 2nd black tape on a vacuum hose 3rd the air filter was wrong 4 time he told me go buy another catillitic converter and EGR valve. they also tried to sell me other work that had nothing to do with smog.i was fumming in the parking lot the manager sees me and a blow up on him saying your tech is full of S---t man" i explained and he said here i will wave the smog try it again. then it magically passed. so i had spent 240 dallors! i cant write everything but i presented a solid case closed argument to the manager. they knew they were wrong. i hope they read this and remember. screw you guys.

They tried to over price my mom when she went to change her brakes, and claimed she had a leak on her brake line went to another auto shop no problems with her brake line, do not recommend unless you want to get scammed, also used old tires for $125.
