I just had my 2014 jetta GLI seviced for intake/valve cleaning at Jimmy's. He sent my pictures of before and after and wow big difference. Acceleration and idle is so much smoother.This is the third time I have taken one of my cars to Jimmys and and he has always been honest about the work that is REALLY needed and very affordable compared to dearlerships.I highly recommed Jimmys auto center for any type of work.

I ve always supported small business and specially his business but after this experience I m speechless of how incompetent Jimmy is! I do understand that accidents do happen when you are trying to fix car but not manning up to your mistake is shows how irresponsible you are.Calling me an idiot to a customer who asked why is there a check engine light after you fixed my car. Ever since I bought my car I ve never had a check engine light . Incompetent Jimmy snapped my car s evap wire accidentally and he thinks I m an idiot for not believing him, I would be one of if I did believe him!I don t like writing bad reviews for small business but when they are rude and irresponsible then they do a zero star!On top of that he asked me if I can pay him $100 to fix that wire !! Btw it was an alternator change job . He snapped it when he was taking the covers at the beginning and lied to me that it was already snapped .Be careful who you trust relating your car !!Lastly, I ve always referred my family and friends to come here but after this experience, I would never recommend this to anyone !

What a great place! I called to get work done on my vehicle, the guy was very knowledgeable and most importantly honest he told me it would take too long to get to my car and it wouldn't be ready when I needed it. I was in a hurry to get it fixed and if he hadn't told me that I would have left it there and then been out of luck. I really appreciate his honesty. I can't wait to come back and have them work on my vehicles.

Jimmy and his crew are the truth!! Very courteous and trust worthy with competitive prices. San Diego without A/C is a painful thing and they took care of my needs flawlessly. Highly recommended!!

Our car had been suddenly & randomly losing power intermittently, as if it had shifted to a lower gear. I had been planning to drive to Alpine & was concerned about the car breaking down on the steep grade as I got closer to Alpine. Jimmy's got me in the same day & not only quickly diagnosed the problem & repaired the car, but Jimmy himself was very friendly, personable & professional. My husband had taken our car there once before & was also very happy with the quality of work, as well as the price, which was much cheaper than our dealership would have charged. Though the shop may be small, it is air conditioned, has comfortable seating, a water cooler & a bathroom while you wait. Jimmy's has earned both my husband's & my trust & has now earned our continued business as well. I went to Jimmys the other day and man what a relief he gave me. I ve been looking forever for a trust worthy mechanic. I had a great experience and he was able to diagnose my suspension issue with my car. If you're looking for a mechanic you can go to, and trust with your vehicle's needs, this is the place to be. I've been tired of over-paying and questioning the work of other shops and mechanics before coming to Jimmy. I've been working with him for years now and it eases my mind knowing that I have a trusted shop to go to if anything ever happens with my car. Sadly, I live no where close to his shop but it's easily worth driving there anytime I need help with my car whether it be just an oil change, or something more serious. The greeting was awesome! Jimmy the owner, is a very HONEST mechanic. We all know, that's hard to find! He showed me the issues my car was having and made the very best offer to repair , verses other auto repair shops. He got it done right away.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here. You will be satisfied 200%! My daughter referred me as well as many others whom were very happy! I can't tell you enough about him, but I encourage you to give him a try, you won't regret it. If I could give this shop 10 stars, I would! I live in North County and so I was a bit hesitant on making the almost-hour drive down to La Mesa. But I m so happy I did!! Jimmy was so kind and SO THOROUGH when he inspected my car. Because my car is already over 100K miles, it was definitely needing a lot of TLC. He certainly delivered on that by being so attentive to detail and letting me know what repairs needed to be done. He was also very communicative throughout the day by sending me pictures of what parts needed to be replaced and any other issues he would find. He completed everything at the time he said he would be finished, not a minute more! He ended up doing a lot more work on my car than what I had originally came in for, and so I was appreciative of him carving out time in his schedule to ensure that he gave me my car back the same day. Also, his pricing is super affordable and won t cost you an arm and a leg. Whether you are 5 mins or 50 mins from him, you have to give him a shot! You will not regret it! I ve known Jimmy for over 10years now. He serviced all my vehicles and when I found out that he opened up his own business, I never hesitated to service my government vehicle. Outstanding area, outstanding service. You can never fail from Jimmy s Auto Center in La Mesa area good luck my friend and I ll service my vehicles to him always. Jimmy is the only person I trust with my car repairs and will continue to do so! Helped me with an oil change, tire rotation, and replacement of the TCM (Transmission Control Module). He is very knowledgeable and provides a detailed invoice of all repairs. Jimmy's Auto center is operated by professional and polite personnel who do a thorough and complete job in fixing whatever problems you may be having with your car. Plus they are conveniently located a few blocks from the Avocado Blvd exit off highway 94.

Was coming from the casino and my breaks were squeaking like crazy so good thing i pulled into jimmys auto center. Nice dude he was professional and knowledgeable. My breaks were done and they notice i was low on fluids and topped it off for me and fixed the scraping sound coming from under the car.
