I have been using this shop for a while, I need always been great in term of service and very fair pricing. And then I met Brian, who's taken my customer experience to a whole new level advising me that on Equipment amd performance. I had a coupon for an oil change, so called to make an appointment. Even though it never got officially entered into the system, they saw me at the time scheduled. They were finished in 30 minutes. I appreciate their ability to get me in and out quickly.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Fast, professional service. I m visiting from out of town, and I took my car in with a flat tire. I thought I d have to buy a new one for nearly $400. They checked it out, found the screw, removed it and patched the tire -$50. They also checked the other tires, found another screw, and removed it at no charge. Car was ready to go in less than 2 hours. You never know what you re going to get when you re in a strange place and have to Google for an important service. I couldn t have been more pleased and grateful.

I called on the phone and when I went in, Brian already knew who I was. I also received a nice discount on the oil change.My only suggestion is a better system for them to let us know when the car is done. Granted, I do understand that they were dealing with a complicated issue at the same time I was there. Had it been any other time, I think it would ve been fine.Otherwise, I do think they are personable, honest and genuine here. Thanks Brian for being kind and professional.

Great people, great place. They fixed the transmission pan on my aging Mazda3 and she runs great. They also showed me the repair and the parts they replaced. I highly recommend checking out Family Auto Service if you need to service your car.

Had a very unexpected car break down and it happened just around the corner from FAS....lucky me! I'm new to California and hadn't established a way to care for my car. But, NOW, I know exactly where to go:) Thank you to Byron who was first class and a stand up human to work with. He found parts for my European model and completed a big job in under 24 hours! I am so grateful to have "accidentally" learned about Family Auto Service and would definitely recommend placing your trust here!

This is the place to go! They communicate well and they are not trying to sell or upsell just to get more money from their customers.Excellent service from everyone. I ve had one emergency when I had a flat tire and they squeezed me in and took care of my tires. I returned this week and experienced the same level of service.

Brought my Chevy Tahoe in for a rear differential seal replacement, transmission fluid change, and cabin filter replacement recently. This is my second or third time using them for auto work. Always great customer service. You truly feel like they have your back when recommending work.

I was offered same day service when I went to Family Auto Service whereas it was impossible to get my car fixed the same day for other places I called before. The manager is really great and professional!Their shuttle service is also really convenient it allowed me to get back to work while my car was getting fixed (other places in SD offer you to rent a car if you need one )I highly recommend this place!!!

Family Auto is the best and I will not take my car anywhere else. They are very trustworthy and do great work. Bryon, the head service manager is so great and easy to work with and keeps my Yukon is tip top shape. The team was awesome. They made an appt with me last minute for an oil change. Went into to the shop to work while they were completing the process. The store is clean and comfortable, with coffee and snacks. I was expecting it to be an hour +. They finished in 30 min. AND it was inexpensive. Will def be trusting these guys for future services.Service: Oil change

I was offered same day service when I went to Family Auto Service. Brian, the manager, is very patient, easy going and a good communicator. He understands the the repair/service side well. I had a Suburu Outback fully serviced at 50k miles. Seems one of the mechanics really specializes in Suburus. It was great to get service right here in town.Service: Auto maintenance

Not transparent about cost and service quality. I felt ripped off. I brought my car in for alarm system lights issue. They initially offered a free diagnostic (which at the time I thought was a very good deal), they quickly said it was the alterator issue (of a 2020 car) without carefully investigating further. This cost me $900 for alterator replaced. After I went home, I had the same issue, they said the alternator could be faulty, so I have to leave it there to have another one placed. I left my car there for more than a day, and they ended up also changed a sensor $200+ and made me pay for the part while saying everything should work. Guess what, nothing is fixed. They finally said they have to send me to a dealer. I have wasted both time and money here.I had to bring my car to the dealer and after throughout diagsnotic, it was found that the new part placed at Family Auto Service was an after market part so it doesnt make proper connection.- Questionable diagnostic capability- Keep charging me for parts without discussion. Keep saying the only way to fix things is to try and replace things. Being a single female I know the information was not honestly communicated to me. I acknowledge the effort they have spent but I also hope that they were more transparent and upfront about what they would do if they cant fix the problem and trying to figure out the correct diagnosis before putting me throught thousands of dollar on this.

May experience was very positive, even tho it involved expenses that I had not initially anticipated. I was treated with respect and at the end, the work was reinforced with an explanation and even showed me some surprisingly corroded parts. There was a lot of work done, but believe it was needed and am glad to get it all finished efficiently in one (long) day.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle safety inspection, Wiper blade installation, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement

These guys SAVED me today. My car broke down exiting off the freeway and I called them and Brian quickly picked up. I told him my situation, and asked if I could have the tow truck bring my car to them to fix. He told me yes, straight away and that they would take care of my car. I brought the car to them by noon, and it was completely fixed and up and running by 5 PM. Not only that, but they had their shuttle service take me to work while I waited for my car. Thank you so much Brian and your crew. Truly Lifesavers! Highly recommend. Amazing people!

My car broke down on a sat. This auto service was one of few that was opened. We had our car towed there and Mike was kind enough to give his quick analysis which we were able to make a quick decision on the spot. He and his crew were extremely helpful, and we are most grateful
