I brought my 1971 Chevelle in and wanted to swap my old 3 speed transmission with a newer rebuilt 4 speed. Charlie was able to help me get everything done and was super helpful throughout the whole process. Car now runs and drives great!

I can t say enough about how impressed I am with Overbys. The dealer told me my 8 year old Jaguar needed a new transmission that would ve cost more than the car was worth. I was referred to Overbys by Mike at the brake place which is affiliated with Overbys. When I spoke to Charlie for help he got on it immediately and found me a used transmission that was priced right. When he got my car he told me it wasn t the transmission at all but a wheel bearing which they don t repair there. The honesty and integrity of these guys is worth everything! I wouldn t have known and they could ve just replaced it. But instead Charlie took the time to find a business that could repair it. Excellent customer service and the highest integrity! Thanks again for everything and we will use them in the future!

Great service and decent prices! Took my car here last week with a stall/jerking and so far, my car is running Beautifully No regrets and I would highly recommend them. This shop has friendly, knowledgeable mechanics that won't overcharge or take advantage of you and will get right down to the problem! Thank you Overbey for your service and help with my car. So I feel like I need to explain my 5 stars. As my experience has been far from perfect, I do feel like they deserve the 5 stars. Their service is absolutely fantastic. The way they honor their warranty is nothing less than impressive. That being said, after the initial repair of my 2002 vw transmission that. Issue never seemed to be fully fixed. The issues that arose the first time, never went away. And I doubt they prevented the transmission from breaking down again. I even know for a fact I'm dropping it off again in the very near future. That beinhg said, I feel like that's more the cars fault then theirs. But third time will be charm? That being said, these guys are phenomenal and absolutely worth your time and money.

Truly a great team. They make sure your needs are met are some of the most knowledgeable people in the business. Ask for Scott or Steven and will make sure you don t want walk out unhappy! I will recommend them to any close friends or family. Great work guys

Hands down the best car repair service I've ever experienced! Overbey Transmission diagnosed my daughter's cars problem and got her back on the road within days. Their prices are very good and their mechanics are knowledgeable and honest. I can't say enough good things about this car repair shop and advise everybody to start taking their vehicles to Scott and Charlie and Company! You won't be disappointed!! A+++++

Had to take my son's Mustang GT in for a new clutch and found that transmissions are only part of their expertise. They treated me great and gave me a sense of confidence. The shop was very clean and organized which goes a long way in my first impressions. Was not disappointed, and feel I can trust their judgement and estimates. Think I found a new mechanic.

Took my aging GMC truck in to Overbey thinking my differential was again going out. I was very impressed with the professionalism and expertise that Overbey applied to fixing my truck. They diagnosed and properly fixed it with a reasonable price. . I talked to them after hours and they allowed me to leave my truck there over the weekend before fixing it. Highly recommend them to all

I had my 2005 Honda pilot with the dreaded shuttering transmission problem, turns out the transmission had to be rebuilt as a cheeper alternative to replacing it. The front desk guys are very knowledgable and are a no nonsense kinda guys, were very helpful and professional. The bench mechanic was very friendly and explained to me in detail all the work he had done once he took the tranny apart in like a million pieces. I have some knowledge but am limited at a certain point on mechanical work. I was impressed with the patience the mechanic had on all my questions as I had many seeing all the sub assembly parts off my tranny laid out on his work bench. I like to think I learned something new that day and am very appreciative for that. Price wise this was the best deal as I had done some research beforhand.It has been about 1/2 a year since the repair and my tranny is working great. I don t think there is a better transmission shop in the area. The owner Scott and Steven are great guys who want to help. They were able to find the source of my problem on my vehicle. Overall I was very happy with the experience. Thank you guys for your wonderful service

I went in for what I thought was a transmission issue. Joe and the team went above and beyond to eliminate possible problems and got me to a nearby shop to fix an issue I never would have thought of. I have a 69 Nova that I have been working on for 15 years. I had just put a new engine in it, with a 3000 stall speed torque converter. I could hardly drive the car on the street. It felt like the trans was slipping all the time and the engine was winding out at low speed. The engine tuner said I would have to replace the cam if I wanted to go with a lower stall converter. My friend had some work done at Overbey, and recommended that I call them. Called Overbey and talked to Charlie, he seemed pretty confident that he could fix the problem without replacing the cam in a brand new motor. Not only did they fix my problem, they found 3 oil leaks, and fixed them also. Plus they called me the day after I picked my car up, just to make sure everything was alright. Would definitely recommend them, if you care about your vehicle.

Had a '66 Buick Lesabre worked on by these guys years ago. Needed the driveshaft {double cardon u-joint"},differential, and axel worked on due to a broken motor mount and the engine virtually pivoting at a 45 degree angle when the car was placed in reverse.This place did an outstanding job. They located an OEM bushing kit for the joint {claimed it was the last one on the planet}, explained and detailed all work done, and finished in a timely manner. The cost was exactly what was expected. I didn't anticipate it being cheap but it wasn't a financial catastrophe. And as for the value of what was performed? Mechanically that car was as tight as if it had just emerged from the assembly plant. Never had an issue with the drive train again, which saw a lot of use and many more miles before I sold the car when gas prices went to plaid.

My car left me stranded and had to get my car towed there thinking I had transmission problems but they checked it and turned out it was clutch and flywheel issues , as a first time customer I felt uneasy about leaving it but they were friendly and professional and my car runs like new now .
