DO NOT take your car to this shop! They are liars and theives! I took my car here a few months ago. I spent almost $3k with them and it turns out they did half the job and even broke some $300 piece. They say they warranty their work so I went back. I don t know how many times I ve had to go back and forth but it has cost me so much time, money to pay Ubers, to pay them, lost time from work I don t even live close to them. Someone I didn t even really know recommended them. Worst decision ever. The last time I went, the owner tells me he will seriously fix it this time. They cut the wires on my sensor so I wouldn t get a message, charged me for something totally off, and broke under part. Wow! Then, I still give them a chance and call them to pay me my money back. It s been over a week and nothing. So, here I am! Don t do here! Took my Duramax Diesel work van in to get diagnosed. They diagnosed a couple issues. I ended up not being able to get the work done for quite a few months, but when I got back to them, they were extremely professional and thorough. These vans aren't fun to work on (why I took it in) and they did it without question. Recommended some solid maintenance items and got all of it done while the van is apart and open. Pricing is fair and I think a great value considering these guys are an old school master mechanic shop, which is getting harder and harder to find. Anyways nothing but a positive experience. Ben runs nice and cool now. Very grateful I found these guys.

I would recommend them to everyone!! My 2004 Cadillac Escalde needed quite a bit of work. Mike went above and beyond for me. Honest mechanics are far and few these day's!! I give them 100

Over the years, We've gone to Lavco for auto repair, but they always seemed to have their worst mechanics repair our vehicles.We would take a vehicle in for repair, pay for the repair and drive home only to find our vehicles were still not fixed and having to return for more repairs/parts for the same problem...or worse have an expensive repair done here and the part going out several months after the warranty period.Also, when they make a mistake they insist it's not their fault and offer no full or partial refunds.Fortunately, we found a great auto repair shop nearby and will never return to Lavco, nor would we recommend them.

This shop has been the best I've gone to across my lifespan of visiting many Auto Mechanics. They are straight up genuinely nice, skilled, and incredibly fair with their pricing. I can't think of anyone nearby that I could say is their competition, just save your time and go here.

I have been taking our cars to Lavco since my nephew referred me 3 years ago. We were new to La Habra at the time and worried about trying to find an honest auto mechanic. I tried 2 mechanics prior to the referral to Lavco, but have been with them ever since. I have recommend them to all my family and friends in the area. Mike in the office has always been exceptionally nice and well-informed.

Hands down a great automotive shop. Getting your car worked on is like getting cosmetic surgery done or finding a baby sitter - you definitely can't just go anywhere. The staff at LAVco are friendly, honest, and pretty quick on turnaround. I really appreciate how Brad tells you what you need done, rather than trying to sell the most expensive job. I've had everything done here - literally. Oil changes and trans services, I brought my car in when my windshield was shattered, got my brakes done, even had them install a new transmission. Oh - even when I was shopping for new tires, they got me a better deal then the quotes I found myself. I'm always comfortable going here and haven't had any problems in the last five years. Seems like there are a ton of regulars too, so that must say something. Definitely bring your car in, I did, and now my whole family does too :) The other reviewer is right too, that Brad is pretty darn cute...

MUST READ before going to Lavco...I was very excited to buy my first truck and came across an ad on craigslist that Brad (Lavco Owner) had put up. I called him to inquire about the vehicle and he explained that everything ran great the truck only has 69K original miles. When I arrived the truck actually had 79k, but it was still low miles. I agreed to purchase the truck and then he explained that I have to got to a third party to finish the transaction as he did not have a wholesale license. This cost almost $500 for a $2700 vehicle, which is not disclosed prior to me arriving at the third party location.After about a week of driving the truck, there was a check engine light. I checked it out and it was a cylinder misfire. Shortly there after the truck was running irregular. I took it back to Lavco and they explained it had a vacuum leak. I found out later this was just a loose vacuum hose and was an easy fix. They said it likely caused the cylinder misfire as well.About two weeks later, having driven only 700 miles since purchasing the truck, the motor was running so bad I couldn't even drive it. I took it back to Lavco and they opened up the motor and explained it needed to be rebuilt. I just bought the truck and it needs a rebuild? He wanted to charge me full parts and labor.This guy is a scam artist. He lures you in with attractive pricing on the vehicle and then when it falls apart he "offers to fix it for a price".Lavco has refused to refund my purchase or rectify the matter.Stay away from Brad and Lavco. Read the other reviews, there are more people than just me who have fallen into this scam.I am working to get the word before other become a victim as well.

Been using Lavco for all the cars in my family for years now. The one thing I need from an auto mechanic is honesty.Whenever I take a vehicle or recommend Lavco to someone, we get the estimate call right away, work is done on time and the price is fair without the feeling that I m being gouged. I m sure we all have left the mechanic s garage with that feeling that we ve just been had. Not so with Lavco. Thanks Brad.

Lavco Automotive is a relaible and reputable AAA Approved Repair Center. All cars are fixed as fast as possible and as affordable as possible. I had to post this after reading the last review. Lavco is a repair garage not a car dealer, not really sure why that last review is here.

I had an odd issue with my Civic that a couple shops couldnt figure out. I took it to Brad and his crew and they had it back to me within the same day running good as new. I thought it was going to be something expensive like a computer or something but it ended up being something minor. Good shop, highly recommend.

Affordable repairs, honest mechanics. Lindsey, Mike, Ed, the whole team are great. Their shop is always busy so call a couple days ahead to schedule your repair.

So many times Brad will save me money by if it aint broke dont fix it when EVERY other shop would take my money. I thought I should share this because the trust level and honesty with this place is the way auto shops should be. Good job lavco team!!
