I had my mini towed there. Fernando was GREAT. He took care of all of its issues and it is running the BEST it ever has. I am no longer afraid that it might die on me. Fernando explained everything he was doing and why. I am ONLY taking my car to him. Wish I had found him sooner! It is nice to have a mechanic you can trust!

I was recommended by a friend to take my BMW to Fernando and the experience did not disappoint. FINALLY found a mechanic that is communicative, honest and does not try to oversell. You can tell he really values quality over quantity and is very meticulous about his work. I appreciate that he works on the cars himself as the owner and does not farm the work out. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for any engine work on your BMW vs going to the dealer.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

JL Motorworks is a mechanic shop I will keep taking my BMW too. Fernando is an awesome mechanic. He goes beyond the call of duty to make sure your car is running right. I never leave reviews so the fact that I am now should say something.Fernando Is the best. He's honest and actually knows what he's doing.I took my BMW to 4 other mechanics 1 being a BMW specialist and they couldn't even solve the issue. Not only did he solve and fix it but he also helped me fix some other stuff on the car a previous mechanic said he fixed but didn't. He explained and showed me everything he did. We was very detailed and helpful. Overall very happy to call Fernando my mechanic now.It's been over a month since I got my car fixed here and Im happy to say she's running great still. I couldn't speak highly enough of Fernando I can tell he really cares about what he's doing. I will be a lifelong customer here as long as I own a BMW. I would even go as far to say I would drive from out of state just to get my car fixed here. I drive from LA. It's worth it.If you want a trust worthy mechanic for your BMW I would look no further. Fernando is your guy.

I would recommend JL Motorworks. Fernando gave me a detailed explanation of what type of brake work was needed on my BMW X1. I was very happy with the quality of work and the level of service.

ONLY BMW MECHANIC THAT I TRUST 100%. Had a valve cover job done on a 2016 bmw 528i and within a day or two it was all done. Exceptional attention to detail and pricing is very fair. Very knowledgeable and professional. After the valve cover job he had cleaned all the oil residue and showed me before and after photos. Also had a misfire which turned out to be a coil and he had the car ready same day. Recommend JL motorworks for your BMW. Car is running beautifully

This was my first time I had to experience finding a place to work on my BMW. I was a bit worried as a single woman that I would be over charged for services and be sold services that I didn t really need. I asked a trusted friend where he took his BMW. He said the guys at JL Motorworks will take great care of you. This proved to be very true. Not only were their prices fair, but the service was top notch. The shop is nice and clean with beverages available, they took care of my car promptly, were friendly, and offered me an Uber back to my house. A true 5 star experience.

I've been taking my car for all my BMW maintenance needs to JL motor works for years now. I appreciate their friendly and professional way they have treated me every time I have taken my car in and they go the extra mile to make my experience as pleasant as possible. They explain what the problem is and what is necessary to fix it. their prices are very competitive. I've checks and I know I'm saving good money compared to a dealership with the same quality.

If you have a BMW this is the place to go. We highly recommend Jacob and his crew. They are extremely professional and knowledgeable and have all the right equipment to work on your prize vehicle. We are very happy we met them, they made us feel very comfortable and instilled trust from the get go. They did a Great job on our M3 she runs like a charm. We highly recommend them and certainly we will return, but hopefully not too soon. Thanks guys we really appreciate your hard work and honesty!

JL Motorworks is the best local place for getting your BMW repaired. Jacob and crew are genuine and committed to providing top-notch quality, reliable and reasonably priced service. Relationships matter here, not like other shops, where you are in and out. They treat you like family. I highly recommend this place. I'm glad I found this shop in my neighborhood! My family will continue to use this place for all our BMW repair needs.

Been coming to JL Motorworks for 2 years. The main reason is Fernando-new owner(took over shop last year). He is certified, knowledgeable, and experienced BMW specialist. He is detail, thorough, and honest. He values the customer and takes pride in his work. You will always receive quality service and good pricing at this repair shop.

Needed control arm bushings on a 2010 128i replaced and the BMW Dealer wanted a fortune to do the work. My smog guy referred me to JLMotorworks so I stopped in and asked for a rough estimate. They completed the work today at a price significantly lower than the dealer would have charged and actually showed me the problem before starting the work. It was nice dealing with someone with a great personality who appears to be just as competent as the BMW dealer s service department. Great work, reasonable price, no surprises. You really can t ask for more than that.

Very good experience today with Jacob. He was in helping me resolve my engine light that was on. I expected to pay $125 for his inspection and apply the charge towards my expenses. In his research and service he was able to reset my engine light to off, run multiple test to find no issues. What was my expense $0> Thanks for understanding great customer service and I will return again! Randy

It was such a pleasure to work with Jacob. It had been four years since I had returned to JL Motorworks but I decided to give them another chance. I came in for an issue with air conditioning taking too long to get cold on my 2006 BMW X5. He showed me what needed to be done under the hood of my car and took care of the problem. He also answered additional questions I had and quickly got me back on the road! I would not hesitate to recommend JL Motorworks now under Jacob s management.

I have been taking my BMW to JL Motorworks for three years. The staff is truly committed to serving my needs and the car is in tip top shape. In the past I thought service shops and dealers were always trying to "pad" the service needs and the costs were sometimes crazy. At JL I always feel I'm charged a fair price for service that's completed quickly and thoroughly. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

I was looking for a new mechanic for my Mini Cooper. The customer service was excellent. There were a couple of coincidental issues with my car that was of no fault of theirs. I had a meltdown and Tina couldn't have handled my crazies any better. Jacob was very patient, honest and ethical. I found my new mechanic!!

Was referred to JL Motorworks based on great Yelp reviews. Stopped in for a headlight bulb replacement. Jonathan provided immediate assistance and completed the task in less than 10 minutes. Upon receiving the bill I was a bit stunned by the price. I spoke with Jonathan about what seemed like a tremendous labor charge. He acknowledged that he had spoken with someone at another location and that he may not have been clear about the type of bulb and suggested I wait on one of the owners of the Long Beach location who was in route. Jacob arrived, introduced himself and proceeded to very kindly discuss the situation and in an effort to retain a new customer he made a very kind adjustment. I'm sold on the automotive service and the customer service. I'll definitely be back. Thanks Jacob and Jonathan for a great experience.

Wife was having issues with her BMW called a few places and finally decided to get the car towed to JL Motorworks for a thorough check. Spoke with Jacob who took the time to listen to me and exchange a few ideas of what it may be. Car was overheating and wife was concerned when the indicator showed heating up. We thought the worse a blown head gasket and complete tear down and rebuild. (Of course that's what all the other shops pointed to) and estimated the job to be beyond $2500. Jacob had his mechanic to a complete check up and pressure test. Needless to say a few hours later and Jacob called us letting us know the car was ready for pick up. At the end of the day our cost was substantially lower since all it was was a leaking Hose. Really? When all the other shops kept painting the most horrible outcome at the highest cost Jacob and JL Motorworks got the job done. It's very hard to trust shops that are truthful and look out for your best interest. We enjoyed our experience and have referred many of our friends and family. Don't settle for these shops that just look out for their pockets. Car running great and most importantly my wife is happy. Thanks Jacob!

I chose JL Motorworks because of their high rating, and I can honestly say they were true to their rating! Jacob got me in the same day, walked me through what needed to be done, and went above and beyond to get my car fixed up. I even had my toddler with me and he was so patient and kind with us. This is the first experience with a mechanic where I didn't feel as if I was being taken advantage of.

I am so thankful that we found JL motorworks! Having a BMW that is out of warranty is like being sick without health insurance. The thought of any repairs is terrifying, especially after one too many pricey trips to BMW dealerships. Jacob was so helpful and forthcoming during the diagnosis and explained the problems in normal terms. His team ended up fixing 3 issues we had for an incredibly fair and competitive price, no nickel-and-dime nonsense or hidden fees. I finally have peace of mind knowing where I will take my car for any future needs. Thanks again!!

Jacob was great at catering to our questions regarding the repair on our 2004 525i.He was prompt and accurate on the time frame he committed to. This was great because we were able to run errands locally in the time frame he gave us.I've been coming here for quite a while now and wouldn't go anywhere else for our repairs.Thanks again Jacob for you and your crews expertise and service.

I usually do my own work but a time crunch had me looking for help to pass smog. JL did a quick and accurate assessment of the issue and fixed it the next day. They worked with me to get the quality part I preferred at a decent price. You can tell they focus on customer service from the moment you arrive in their driveway. I passed smog and I'm moving on with my life. Thanks!

Jacob is a good dude. Made my BMW motor work just like the sign says. Did it in recoed time was consciencious and made the extra effort to be sure we were satisfied and checked his work before calling it done right. They actually charged less than the estimate and when I asked him a favor to reset the Sunroof computer setting he did it, didn't even charge for it and Tina took my money with a smile and a totally personable experience. After a extensive search for a BMW specialist in my area, I decided to go with JL MOTORWORKS to take care of my vehicle. I took it in as an insurance claim, David, the technician was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what was wrong w my car. I highly recommend this shop for ur vehicle needs, there is no run around, just straight and honest answers. The pricing is reasonable and Im very satisfied w the service that has been provided. After a long and arduous fight w my insurance, I got my car fixed and it is running the machine it was designed to be. Thank u JL and David.

This is possibly the best experience I've had in a body shop. I was greeted by the most welcoming voice (Tina) at the front office. She was very knowledgeable and did I mention gorgeous? She quickly notified Jacob (Shop Manager) who gave me the run down straight to the point. The prices were very reasonable. I was updated constantly and I was back on the road in no time!

The engine light came on in my mini and being new to Long Beach I didn't have a mechanic. I found JL Motorworks on Google, read the reviews, and decided to give them a try. I was very impressed with the quality of the work, the fair pricing, and the friendliness of the staff. I definitely intend on coming back, and recommend that you give them a try.
