It's an old building. But everything is good for the price we pay. I will stay next winter too.Staircase should be cleaned. Bathroom tile should be replaced, too old. If not, I would have put five stars. I recommend this motel for visitors come to June Lake and Mammoth Lake.

The rooms were clean, but had a lot of wear and tear. For example, the shower was very hard to turn on, there was some black mold in the bathroom, the weather stripping under the door had cracked. We were pleasantly surprised to find it had a small kitchenette with a microwave and fridge.

Not too shabby. The room we stayed in had recently had some renovations and was pretty nice. The beds were comfy and quite spacious, we were surprised. There are still some updates needed and they don't have AC. Some more hooks or a Countertop in the bathroom would have been nice, but it was a good stay.

Run by an alcoholic who barely has a grip on reality. My wife and I were asked to leave after calling to complain about a noisy neighbor! The owner (so he claimed) became so irate I was sure he was about to attempt to hit me (he didn't), but it was a bit unsettling to be tossed out late at night with nowhere to go except a 6 hour drive home. He did refund our money, but this was the worst motel experience our lives.

This motel was really good. The location was good in the June lake loop area. Rooms were clean and although a bit small, they come with a kitchen fully equipped. The bathroom was ok, although the shower was a bit weak. Everything was working. I cannot rate the service as in the two days we were there there was no one in the office. They left the keys in an envelope and drop them in the mailbox when checking out. Overall I recommend this place, although it was a bit expensive.

people who rate their stays here with anything above a 2 is lying to your face. the manager/customer service is for certain the worst i ve encountered, extremely unprofessional, condescending, rude and disrespectful. on top of that, the pictures online do not do this place justice. looks a hundred times better online than in person up close, and that s putting it rather nicely.

Very bad service!!! We stayed for 2 nights, the Wi-Fi stopped working the first night and till the day we left, the wi-fi didn't work. We didn't have phone reception because of the mountains, so we had no communication. We used the phone inside a wall box outside the office and we kept getting a message that no one was available. Thankfully there was no emergency like the heater not working or being locked out, because we would have frozen to death. The shower floor didn't seem clean and the on/off shower handle was so hard to pull, not working properly for sure. Reading similar negative reviews, only shows the owner obviously doesn't care much about good customer service and treating customers right, don't spend your money here, spend it somewhere else.

Rooms are in a state of disrepair. My bathroom sink was separating from the wall, shower was stuck and took great effort to turn on and floor was coming up in the bathroom. On top of that there were some cleanliness issues. My shower was not very clean. There is no AC. If there was ac, it was broken in my room. There are 0 amenities. Sorry, I guess they have a coffee maker and a TV that will be impossible to watch anything on unless you are sitting right in front of it. This motel was not cheap. I paid $409 for two nights by myself. On top of their already high fee, they charge you 35 dollars if you don't wash your own dishes! You would think something like that should be included in the cleaning with their already high rate. The staff was nonexistent. Apparently, there is a mandate for contactless checkin so they just tape your key to the front window with no prior communication. I got an email prior to checking in but it mentioned nothing about their checkin process just said they were excited to have me. Wouldn't be able to tell though because there was no one present at all. Didn't come across a staff member once. I didn't get a chance to check out other hotels in the area so I can't recommend any however, it is likely that anything would be better than here.

Originally booked a one-room cabin (1 bedroom + sleeper sofa in the living room). After unloading our car, and got settled in, discovered both beds had mice droppings. We were moved to a regular apartment-style room in the main building and the unit didn't have any mice droppings. The staff was accommodating; the new room was clean. Just not sure if we'd stay again though...

This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life! DO NOT STAY HERE! We went to check in on Saturday August 14th at 5pm. The correspondence we received said that afterhours check in was at 6pm. Since we arrived earlier than 6pm we expected to have someone available to help us. No one was on the entire property. Our key was taped to the door. When we got into our room, the A/C didn't work. So we had to keep the windows open so there were bugs flying everywhere in the room. The room still stayed at 80 degrees despite all the windows and doors being open. Then I tried to take a cold shower to cool down and the shower head was literally broken from the hose and water was gushing out all the sides so it was impossible to shower. It was literally so hot in the room that I was starting to feel sick. We were given numbers to call if we had any issues and I called them several times but no one answered. They also sent me many emails so I tried to reach out via email but again no answer. So we left and didn't stay the night because the conditions were so unacceptable! When I called to talk to the owner to request a refund, he yelled and me and hung up. I don't know how you could own a business and be literally the rudest person and have zero customer service skills. Whatever you do, do not stay here! That miserable rude man does not deserve you business. There was a very nice hotel just across the street from this one called Double Tree, maybe check that out instead.

Worst place ever. Do NOT stay here. The place is ratty and the manager is extremely rude. The shower head came completely off and water sprayed everywhere when J tried to take a shower. I have never been treated so rudely as a hotel guest in my life. We checked in and there is no air conditioning so we wanted to open the windows. We noticed one window had no screen, and there are mosquitoes, so I called the number for the manager (who had left the office) and said we had noticed the motel had a vacancy sign so was it possible to change rooms to one with screens. What I heard next was Jesus Christ under his breath. I said oh, am I as a paying guest inconveniencing you and he hung up on me. He did come and switch our room, for which we thanked him, but I would definitely recommend staying anywhere but here.

Welcome to the Bates motel! This dump was a total rip off. Broken down furniture, carpeting that was last installed in the 1970s and was filthy, a heater with a mind if its own and a bed that was lumpy and uncomfortable. The key was left taped to the lobby door with no staff in site or attendance. The cost was over $400 for a 2 night stay. They don't accept pets but my dog could take a dump on the carpet and it would only improve this place.I love the sign that states if you don't wash your own dishes you will he charged $35.LOOK FOR OTHER ACCOMODATIONS! sleeping in your car would be better than this.

Horrible place to stay, much nice places in June Lake that aren't falling apart. Had no AC in August, no one at front desk would answers phone, and the shower was not usable. Room was so bad and literally no one on the premises that worked there that we had to book another room in Mammoth and drive 30min that night . Highly recommend looking at camp grounds before this place.

I do not know how people could rate this hotel with four or more stars and three stars is even a stretch. I wonder what kind of motels they are staying in. The place is in need of major maintenance, as witnessed by the tile missing in our shower, the mold around the base of the shower, the door trim that is desperate need of painting because it is so dirty, furniture that is from the 60's, popcorn ceilings that looked massively water stained, windows that are dirty to the point that they filter the sunlight and an aroma when you first walk in that is not very pleasant. Not to mention that there is no A/C and the front desk is not manned. There was a white phone at the front desk and you had to dial zero to get help. The person who helped us was very friendly; however, his attire was very unkempt. I stayed here because it was one of the few places in June Lake that had two queen beds, I have never stayed in June Lake, the price was cheaper than the other places around and the reviews were not that bad. Next time I will stay in Mammoth Lakes, because the prices are better and so are most of the hotels.

Prime location near June Lake. Ideal for an overnight stay, around 40 minutes to the east entrance of Yosemite. Straightforward check in experience, accommodating late check in too. The room quality is average, the dining area was particularly helpful since we planned to cook breakfast. A decent place to stay to the east of the park.

The gentleman you speak to when making reservations is unprofessional. I believe he could be the manager/owner. He has no problem telling you to book your stay somewhere else if your unhappy with the accommodations. Thank you! We just did and you ll never see my family again, who by the way have been staying at your hotel every year for the past three.

Had a great stay here during a snowy week in the Sierras. New management is obviously doing a great job, no complaints whatsoever. Cozy and clean rooms embodied the sweet vibe of the town of June Lake.

Ok place, old style but not bad and kept clean. Having a kitchen was nice and I liked the small town feel of them taping the key outside in an envelope since we go there really late. I'd go back again except for two things. First, what's up with 12% tax that's barely noticeable when you're paying for it online? And a big one, hot water. Having to take a shower in the cold mornings with water that kept changing between cold and lukewarm every 2 min, isn't the best way to start the day. Could be just my room or just that day but definitely a deal breaker for me for next time

Nice huge beds, hot showers and a little kitchen. The alarm radios have usb outlets which is a plus. The spa is simple but good. The view from our room and the spa was magnificent.

Had the place to ourselves because of the fires. That was nice.. Because of covid19 we had no contact with anyone at the place. No attention made to our room or its supplies. Might have been nice if someone had at least checked on us by phone.

Cheap, plenty of parking, and an included kitchen was nice! However, we definitely had no hot water, and still didn't have any in the morning, despite giving it hours to heat up.

Policy is policy, and extenuating circumstances like a forest fire can't make a dent in that. In the evening, we had a forest fire cut off highway 120 in Yosemite, and the ranger assured us the shortest detour to this place would take us 5 more hours. We left many messages to let them know of our situation and of course no one called back. By the next morning, we called them again, and explained the situation for the 5th time. It makes sense that we couldn't cancel the first night, but we couldn't cancel our second night either. Because policy of course. Make sure that if you have extenuating circumstances, they happen 2 weeks in advance so you can cancel at a price.

Agree with other writers. This motel was unclean and in disrepair. Owner charged more than double for a late room rental on New Years. Lots of deferred maintenance. Left an article there and the owner never bothered to send it back.
