This is purely a review of espresso based beverage (mocha, more specifically) because that's the only reason I stopped here after seeing the Espresso sign. The shop looks good, shop owner seems nice, but mocha was below average. Could not finish it. But I am sure you can find something else that suits you.

Well, let me tell you, that morning kicked off like a stumble in the dark. Two-day trip, and our cozy little spot had nothing but a cold water tap for a shower. You grin and bear it, right? Then we hit up the local bakery a crowd magnet, no surprise there. Their bread? A real looker and a charmer on the taste buds.Now, here's where the plot thickens. The bakery's sweet frozen drinks machine? Kaput. But fate had other plans. As we cruised towards June Lake, that "Milkshake" sign whispered sweet promises. I mean, who can resist a good milkshake? Some are duds, but these? Next level. Plus, they serve 'em up in those fancy biodegradable cups eco-friendly and delicious.But that's not all. This place is an outdoorsy paradise. You name it, they've got it. And the staff? Friendly as a summer breeze. So, yeah, it was our first dance with this joint. Who knows when we'll boogie back, but one thing's for sure: we'll be stopping by this milkshake oasis again. Cheers to the future!

You won't find a better Soul than Juan, and alfredo. I was in a real Jam and it seems Creator sent them to give me a hand. While I was here a wealthy local guy came by and said, yeah, Juan is as good as they come. Nice store, small, but a godsend for this area.

I didn t have a good experience at all .. I was tired and just wanted a sandwich and a drink.. I d never been here before .. felt they were very anti social.I Walked in and felt like I was interrupting.. deli guy was on his phone and never looked up or said a word. The other fella mumbled how s it going . Not a chance I was ordering a sandwich. And not one cordial word after I purchased my drink.And for the record I m a pretty chill guy and get along with mostly everyone. I don t know bummer.. I frequent June lake a few times a year, I won t be returning here.. frustrating.

Nice little gas station that also sells shakes and limited warm food. Staff are friendly, located on the 395. Plenty of parking. Parking, entrance, restrooms, and counter are accessible. Prices are as you would expect.

Reasonably priced beer and food! When you re out this far it s nice to find a place that doesn t price gouge you. The beer and snacks are very affordable.THE GAS IS EXPENSIVE! That s to be expected though. It s very expensive to get fuel and other goods up to this high elevation. The workers are very friendly. They ve also got a lot of fishing tackle which is also reasonably priced. It s fun to see all of the old fishing pictures. Right next to the gas station is an overflow parking lot if you re camping in this area and have more than two cars you can park the other ones in this area for a small fee.

One star for every open pump at 4am. Although 5 stars for being open at 4am. But -3 for gas pump asking too many questions. 1 star for it not being better lit, have to watch out for wear wolves. No stars for Kathryn s bad dream about Nat wacking her. But over all not bad.Update it s been fat minutes it s 5am I fear the wear wolves are getting closer and I forgot the defense Chocolate. Minus half a star.

DONT STOP FOR GAS HERE. Red flag was when we stopped and the gas pump had writing with sharpie that warned us not to get gas here as the locals who owned the gas station were criminals and will steal your money.Next day, we have two charges for $200 which totals $400. So yeah, we got robbed. I wish I paid $0.10/gallon of gas more at Mammoth Lakes instead of stopping here. Only get gas in Mammoth Lakes even though it s a few cents more.PLEASE DONT STOP HERE!PLEASEEEEE DONT STOP HERE!!

We didn't use the shell station, but we did go into the sandwich deli. The sandwiches were delicious and made very well. Mark, the sandwich artist, did an amazing job! He deserves a raise! The iced coffee needs some work, though. Everyone there was super friendly and nice (especially Mark, the sandwich artist). 11/10. The food made my 11 hour trip way better. I'll be back soon in the near future.

Terrible experience and service. Went in on 9 August to put in some gas. The price was really higher than other places. But we really needed some fuel so went in. Prepaid and then when we tried to pump the system froze. Went into the cashier to let them know. But the guy at the counter had no idea what was happening, nor the helper. We waited for half an hr while the cashier kept serving other customers who came into the shop. Atleast 6 customers were served while we waited and no explanation was provided. I asked if we they could refund our money and so we could atleast go. But the guy kept attending to other customers. Finally refunded the money after showing our bank statement that the money was actually deducted despite having a receipt that said payment authorised.

I am taking away 2 stars because there is no air here for tires. The air hose was cut and hasn t been repaired. Hopefully, Shell will fix the air hose, as the next closest place to get air is Lee Vining.

Drove by the real milkshake sign and even though it was only 9 am I had to turn around. It didn t disappoint! Customer service was spectacular, the milkshake was amazing and the cinnamon roll...yum! I will definitely make this a must stop anytime I m in the area.

Air pumps charge (against the law) and don t really work. I have stopped here multiple times to fill water bottles while cycling and used to have no issues getting water from the cafe. I usually buy an extra drink or a candy bar as a thank you . In summer 2021, I tried to do the same with a couple of friends. We were told to use the (dirty) bathroom sink to get water. Then they tried to charge us each a dollar for using the bathroom . What a horrible way to treat locals. I will make sure our club tells all member and visitors to skip this place as a stop on rides going forward.

2 1/2 stars. Happy to have an option to fill up at 10:30 at night. The screens are impossibly hard to read because they are not backlit, and you have to shade your eyes from the glare of the street light to stand a chance of reading the 1 million questions required to get gas

Alfredo saved the day! We had camped in our van in Bridgeport and were heading down 395 unprepared for a blast of snow . . . Pulled over in our front wheel drive van, City-iots without chains. Alfredo sold us a pair and instructed me on how to put them out as it had been many years since I had put chains on any vehicle . . . maybe once in my life. He was straight forward and not condescending it in the least. When he noticed ,out of the window of the store, that we were struggling, he came out and took a look . He apologized for selling me the wrong sized chains and proceeded to grab the correct set and put them on for us. All under a dumping snow storm. Exceptional! Thank you, Alfredo!!

Really a lot more expensive.I was glad the few pumps that were not out of service were operational at 4am, but it's taken 12 minutes for 14 gallons so far. Also bring your flashlight so you know when to enter your pin. The screens have no backlight, or other light.I didn't see any werewolves either.

Not accepting credit card on 7/4/2023 9:30am. Not sure you fill up your gas tank before heading into June Lake

Charming place and people who run it. Prices are predictably a little high as they're in the middle of (respectfully) nowhere... Makes sense to me, as how could they not add a "had to import it from far away" tax - and survive?

Asked for a shot of espresso in my milkshake tried to charge for 2, did it to more than one in my party. I think they where trying to pull a fast one. Milkshake was good though

Shane was really nice and funny. Great espresso milkshakes with biodegradable cups. DEFINITELY worth the stop!

For Diesel pump rate was 1.5 gal per minute. So if you need 25 gal it will take about 17 minutes. Also the pump does not shut off when full so you have to stay right there. Also there were no towels and no trash can at any pumps.

This is the worst gas station locally. The coffee is terrible and is 3 dollars a cup. Prices increase daily. Unless you gas to get to Mammoth Lakes don't stop here

Bathroom has no toilet paper or seat covers, and the owner expects you to pay at least a dollar to use the bathroom. Avoid if possible for bathroom use.

The coffee was good. If you have a non american credit card, you have to talk to the cashier before fueling up.

I needed air for my tires despite being required by law in California to provide free air for customers The attendant told me he doesn t care what the law is . These guys are a bummer if you can go somewhere else

Party of 6, we ordered 5 milkshakes in which all 5 people got sick with diarrhea. Not good. Notifying the public health department next.
