Overall, it was a pleasure doing business with star auto services. The people there are super knowledgeable and approachable. I can definitely sense that they re for the people, charging a reasonable price and trying to build great relationship with each customer. Originally, I took my car to another place that quoted me an outrageous price, after taking my car to Star Auto Services, they helped me identify the real problem and reduce my cost to a tenth of the price quoted by the other shop. Highly recommend this place for a reasonable price and great services!

I recently visited Star Auto for a tire change and an oil change, and I can't express how impressed I am with the exceptional service I received from Joey, Sam, and the entire team. I took my vehicle to Star Services without an appointment. Wahid greeted me as I pulled up and listened as I described my car s problem. Right away he confirmed what I thought- I needed a new battery. Joey quoted me a price and Wahid got to work right away on my car. About 45 minutes or so it was done! When I went to pay it ended up being cheaper than the original quote! I m very pleased with how I was treated, their honesty and how everything turned out. I will return for future services and I HIGHLY recommend!!

I am sooooo thankful I found this place!I had an issue with the front left signal light not working. After taking it to the dealer, I was charged a diagnostic fee and given a ridiculously expensive quote to replace the light socket of the signal.I called this place and the person told me to come in for a free diagnostic. So I brought it in, and he called over a mechanic to take a look at it and see if he could fix it on the spot. I didn't even have an appointment, but he paused what he was working on to work on my car. After about an hour, the mechanic was able to fix the left signal! No replacement socket needed! And it cost me HALF the dealer's diagnostic fee for the repair (<20% dealer's estimate)!I am very thankful for their excellent customer service, honesty, and quality of work.

Avoid this place at all cost!! They say one word and when it's time to pay for their service, they say something else. Plain blatant lies: 1. Price dishonesty. 2. They claimed they provided service during the rain, while It wasn t raining when I got there until I left. 3. I loaded my own spare back in the trunk with ZERO help from them. 4. Totally racist for assuming I m middle-eastern. 5. Simply they don t honor their word with shady practices. 6. Check other reviews with more or less the same complaints. You are better off taking your business else where.

Without sharing too much details, I have been struggling financially. And during my visit to get my oil change, Joey told me brakes needed to be fixed asap. I genuinely didn t have anything and this very day I was off the edge with anxiety and worry trying to figure out my life. Anyways, he didn t even know the details of my situation when he offered to help me fix my brakes for free which he did. He probably will never understand the gravity of his help and the change he made in my life with that. But I pray to God almighty that him and his entire family receive blessings everywhere they go. I pray you never lack, and in times of need, just like you were an Angel to me, you will receive help from angels as well. I appreciate you. God bless you!Service: Electrical repair

I love this place. They helped me get my car ready for a cross-country trip a few years back, and they're currently helping me get the same car fixed up again after it sat unoperated for about a year. The people here are so kind, honest, and reliable; they've helped make car maintenance much less of a scary thing for me!

I brought my vehicle in last week after my car had begun to make a funny noise. They were super helpful over the phone and in person when I brought my car in. All the guys were very communicative throughout the process which I highly appreciated and were genuine in wanting to help out and providing info! I dealt with Sam this past week as an out of state customer getting a Pre-Purchase Inspection complete on a vehicle. Very knowledgable local shop. Communication was great, I received pictures, texts and a few calls from Sam to let me know what was going on and how the vehicle looked. Sam knew what he was talking about and as far as I can tell without being there did a very thorough inspection of the vehicle.If all of that wasn't good enough, the price was very fair for this service. I am out of state but I would recommend this shop to locals based on my experience.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Joe and Sam are amazing, all of my services ( Engine Ignition Coil, Water Pump & Door Electrical , Misc. Services ) went very well for my BMW and VW. Glad I found these guys. Amazing..Joe is very professional and went through each of the problems in detail. And explained me what needs to be done. and the service is very fast as well. within half a day my cars were ready on all three occasions. Not enough stars to rate this shop, they get 5 shooting 's in my book. My UCI student child activated the 'Dad Calvary' due to what was described as vehicle ending drama. Made the trek to OC and identified a common coolant leak quick. Made a few calls and Sam at Star Auto was able to fit me in within 15 minutes of the call, talk about razzle dazzle folks (I caught them at the right time so YMMV). Sam and his manager partner were very friendly, communicative and personable - old school customer relations FTW. The shop techs were busy working on a wide range of vehicles, from a current AMG to my kid's classic Corolla. Star completed the repair for what I figure a recommend 'mobile mechanic' would have charged just for their required diagnosis, time and materials. The folks at Star are down to earth, honest and reliable. When the timing belt is due or an issue arises I will skip the trip and call them. The repeat business is well earned. Thank you!

I called this morning to get a qoute for brakes and rotors. Rob answered the phone and let me know that they offer a free inspection. I took my car in and I found that their prices were fair for brakes and rotor replacement. Rob and Sam also dropped me off and picked me up when my car was done. Great customer service and care! Sam and all the workers here are great. Very honest and fair pricing. I would highly recommend them. I first came for a check engine diagnosis that I was not charged for as this was a minor glitch. I then came again on a Saturday for a headlight bulb replacement that was done quickly. My family came down to pick me up from college and they had an issue with the car. We called Star Auto to see if they could fit us in to get it looked at, they were super helpful. They were very mindful of our time since we needed to drive back. In the end they said it was free of charge and all they said was we could leave a review and/or a tip if we wanted. Super nice and really came in clutch. Will definitely stop by again if we need anything else!

Had a problem with my parking brake button and needed an oil change. Took my car in on Saturday morning, had it back 2 hours later with a reasonable $230 bill and the airlifter had also been replaced at their reccomendation. Our car stalled in a parking lot in Irvine on our road trip back to Sacramento. We called Sam to see if he could get us in on a sat to look at it.He went above and beyond. Even drove to the parking lot to assess it while we waited on our tow truck. He diagnosed the problem and got the part ordered so he could get us going as quick as possible.They stayed late to finish our car and took extra time to ensure they showed us everything and answered our questions. I can truly say that Sam is a great guy. Honesty and integrity is something that you question when you go to a mechanic sometimes but TRUST me when I say you wont with him. I went to get a diagnostic and Eduardo (one of the mechanics) did it in a jiffy. When I came back to get it changed I went in to the waiting room and what felt like 10 mins the tires were changed and I was ready to get back on the road.Service: Tires

I typically give people the benefit of the doubt but as a business owner myself I understand fair and equal business practices for all customers.This place charged my daughter (a UCI student) $650 to replace an alternator on an old Corolla. They also claimed she needed a ton more work which we had already gotten done at a previous service.Shame on these type of practices. I will be reporting to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, the BBB, and Consumer Affairs. This place is amazing!My daughter's car was overheating we popped in with screaming kids in the back, And they filled her car up with coolant.They were so courteous and so helpful!This kind of service is rarely seen today.I highly recommend them.

Staff is super friendly and reliable. They re much different from other places in that they actually try to save you as much money as possible rather than charging you unnecessarily.
