Better Prices than the Dealership!! Amazing, quality work from them. They have worked on all my cars to replace brakes/rotors and even helped me drop a new Engine in my 2017 Malibu when I was in a bind and GM wouldn t help replace it. The new crated engine is running like a champ!! Thanks again Billie for all your help!

I gave Billy 5 stars 3 years ago, and I'm still giving him a 5+ star review. I was so happy to find him after he moved from his old location to his Irvine shop. He is honest, transparent, kind, and very reasonably priced. You can't sit in his waiting room without hearing from someone else about how much they like and trust him. I won't have any other mechanic work on my car.Service: Auto brake replacement

I can t recommend SC brakes and more enough. Billy is the man. He is as honest as one can be. He is my go to mechanic for my red 90 Miata as well as my go to mechanic for my entire family. I also recommend all my friends to him as well. He has done much more than just brakes for my family and I, and the things he can t fix himself, he has many other friends that he can refer you to for any of your needs. I feel blessed to have found this shop and if I could rate more than 5 stars I would. If you guys at the shop are reading this I want y all to know I m very thankful for all your help you ve given my family and I.

A1 service here! Billy and his mechanics took great care of me.. They did a brake change on the same day that I needed it. Found my go to mechanic here in town. They saw me the same day that I needed it done and had it done in the time Billy said it would take. They also troubleshooted a problem and let me know free of charge. You shouldn't take your car anywhere else in town. My old car was shimming and now it's handling like a dream. Thank you Billy and the Mechanics!

I relocated to Irvine one year ago and was trying to deal with a few different mechanical shops, finally discovered here and feel blessed. Billy is amazing. He is super professional, clear, honest, price reasonably, and willing to share what he knows. Best mechanic shop ever. Will bring my wife s car here soon.

Billy is top notch. It's rare you find an honest person in the automotive repair industry. Brought my car in some months ago. Stated I still had a lot of pad left. Came back and still looked good. Third time, it was time for brakes. Great price quoted, dropped of my car. Called me back, only the fronts were needed. My prior experiences have been huge price gouging and up-selling on repairs I don't need. Thanks Billy. You rock.

Would highly recommend South County Brakes and Billy. I took my Honda Accord here and saved at least $70 from what my dealer recommended. I also felt Billy was extremely honest and responsive; he let me know I could go a few thousand more miles on my front brakes without changing them. I elected to get them both changed at the same time. I also really appreciate that it's a firm price to change the brakes and resurface if necessary - I hate the feeling of being nickel-and-dimed at mechanics or dealerships. Also awesome to support a local business instead of a large chain or a dealer. Billy definitely earned my ongoing business!

This place Rocks ! Billy is the most honest mechanic I have ever met . Took my car to another shop to get my allignment done and the mechanic said I needed new brakes, rotors etc... Thought I would get a second opinion because I was really low on cash at the time . My buddy told me about South County Brakes ! Thank God! Billy took a look at my brakes and all I ended up needing was rear brake pads! He was literally done in 15 minutes! I ended up talking with him for another 15 minutes . Really honest easy going good guy. I definitely recommend everyone to get there brakes done here. He earned my business for life .... Thank you Billy!!!!

Billy owns the shop and is very fair with his assessment of any repair he does. He works on brakes exclusively. He doesn't try to shaft you with an overpriced estimate. Just honest brake work. I recommend him for any brake work that you need.

All the reviews about this ship are true. Friendly, courteous service, no hassle drop-off, no paperwork/signing your life away. Picked my car up at the end of the day and it brakes like new for under $200. Highly recommended!

I was driving my cousin's car when a blinking alarm light scared me. I though that I did something wrong and the car was damaged.Billy saved the day! He was fast and effective and he fixed it without adding costs. Highly recommended

Great all around experience. Was able to see me on short notice. Immediately recognized the issue. Provided a remarkably fair quote with no (ZERO) effort to overcharge or oversell on something that was not needed. Done in a day. If you dread going to a mechanic because you think you'll get ripped off, go to South County Brakes!!!

You can't find shops this honest these days. I had a massive brake failure on my old 4runnner thats been in my family for 25yrs. I thought it might be time to retire the truck. Billy went out of his way to fix my car that any ordinary shop wouldn't of touched at an extremely reasonable cots. I will only take my cars to this shop from now on!

$100 to resurface two rotors!!!! Just say, we don't do it! Pepboys charges $15 ea.Hey, it is your shop! Do what you want, but I won't come to you for any repair, just as a principal.
