I have a Ford Ranger I am nursing to 300,000 miles and a Jaguar I'm coaxing to 200,000 miles. I like to fiddle with both, but I take my cars to Mason if I want to actually get it running. They've addressed every issue and are wholly kind and professional. They even do a great job undoing damage caused by other mechanics.The fact that I know I can rely on my old cars is a testament to the quality I know I can expect from Mason.

I am a student at SDSU, and I just brought my car down to San Diego for the first time since living here and got recommended to go to these guys. Absolutely great service. They were super friendly over the phone and helped me right away. They were super fast and efficient and fixed my car's problem within a few hours, and now she's running better than ever. Fred Costilla was super kind and helpful and made sure I got my car back ASAP. 100% would recommend these guys. I m not from the San Diego area, but I was there for a day trip and stopped at Mason s for a quick and easy fix (that I could have done, but didn t know how to) and everyone I talked to was so kind! The man who worked on my car even showed me what he was doing so I knew how to do it in the future. It was my first time in San Diego and they left me with a great impression! Thank you for being so nice and helpful!

Fred's the man! I limped into town on an alternator that was wired wrong because I like to try and save money by having my friends help me with my truck. Not only did he install a new alternator, he rerouted my bad AC fix and now, i have air conditioning! He saw a quick fix that would make my life better, and just did the dang thing! Fred, you're a gem! I will literally drive 9 hours for any further fixes to my ride.

If you re looking for a reliable, honest, reasonable and professional mechanic look no further! These guys took care of me when I was in a pinch and I m so grateful to have found them! They were very thorough in their inspection, repair, and explanation as to what the issue was and my car has been running beautifully since they repaired it. Thank you Mason s Auto Clinic! :)

GREAT shop, very fair and honest. I had to tow my 1970 Ford Ranger in after breaking down. Fred was helpful and courteous and got the parts needed to repair the truck earlier than planned. This vehicle is 53 years old so he had to call around to get the correct parts. He made it happen! I just learned he has recently taken over the business and is working hard to impress. No nonsense repair shop fixing vehicles in IB since 1959.Mark is blunt and to the point, while still friendly, welcoming, and willing to kindly answer your questions.Repairs were done very quickly and for less than anticipated.Great communication from start to finish.Ever leave a mechanic worrying if you got a fair deal with quality parts and work?If so, bring your vehicle here and start worrying about something else; Mason's Auto Clinic will treat you right.

Can't say enough positive things about Mason's auto clinic. Mark took such good care of me. Had a towed in SUV with a blown alternator and battery, wouldn't run or start at all. Without prior coordination he accepted my car and fixed it same day. He had great communications to my phone and kept me posted on the progress throughout. Picked up SUV that afternoon and it ran great. Will definitely be back if I ever need any auto work down. Mark is top notch and a true supported of our military and armed forces. Highly recommended, 5 STARS easily! Use Mason's and you'll see the difference.

Fair prices. Good work. Nice and friendly atmosphere. I've taken my 2007 van here a few times in the last 6 months. They did a great job on my radiator and my engine mounts. Van runs like new.

I posted this on yelp as well, but want to make sure I get the word out :) I can t sing enough praises about Mason s! Mark and the team are amazing!! They are competitive with their pricing, fast with their service, and the customer service is top notch. We used Mason s exclusively for 3 years for our two vehicles; our only reason for stopping was because we moved across the country. Mark is even helping us find a new, trustworthy mechanic in our new town. It s very rare this day and age to find a mechanic who is willing to go out of our way to help us find a new shop to take care of us.Thank you Mark and guys for always being reliable, hardworking, honest, and helpful!

So my man and i do most of the small jobs on our vehicles and after running into problem after problem and fix after fix we were fed up. My car was overheating still after replacing the radiator and a bunch of other parts relating to that. I called up Masons and asked them to take a look. They told me to bring my car right in and they would check it out. After a couple hours they called saying the car was running fine and not overheating. They kept it overnight and did additional checks and test drives and everything was running smoothly. They suggested maybe my car had an air pocket in the system and it has since passed. The car is running smoothly. The guys at masons didnt charge me a thing despite looking at him over the course of 24 hours. These are wonderful honest people and the next time my car does have a problem i will be bring him straight over. They were kind, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. Thanks so much guys!

Let's be real. As a female, often times going to the mechanic is a burden because you're worried they're going to scam you, even if you know what you're talking about. We've been taking our cars to Mason's for 3 years now and will continue to do so! They are professional, nice, and affordable. And HONEST! You can count on them to take the best care of your car.

So glad that I took my car here for repairs. Mark gave me honest answers and great pricing. Never up charged or tried to tell me something that wasnt a problem was going on.Was always straight to the issue and necessary steps to fix it.

It is hard to find honest trustworthy capable automotive service. You will find it here. Being an enlisted then retired military dependant I ve never had a new or really even newer vehicle ever. But I know if I take my 14 year old Prius or my daughter s 18 year old Honda or my other daughter s 15 year old Vibe into Masons it s going to leave in a really short amount of time running so dependably I ve left straight from his shop and driven clear to the East Coast with no worry. Their prices are almost indescribably fair, more than once Mark s told me I either didn t need a repair or the expensive repair I thought I was going to need wasn t necessary, it only needed something minor. Being a female let s just say old enough to have children in their 30 s I ve dealt with a lot of mechanics over the years, an honest shop is worth their weight in gold. I think it says something that people I know that live in El Cajon bring their cars to Masons in I.B. anytime they need work done.

Both my girlfriend and I had some nasty car trouble, and Mason's was nearby with solid reviews. After talking to him about the tough financial spot we were in, Mason knocked down the service charges, and recommended we shop at AutoZone for the parts to save money. He's quick and has always made sure we had the car back by the time we had to go to work again. He's also a friendly guy to talk to, in a way that doesnt seem like he's friendly just becuase you're a customer. We'll be repeat as long as we live in IB

$0 for Mark to look at my Toyota Sienna 2000 and tell me that the suspension doesn't need any work. It just needs tires in front. The other 2 companies told me it would cost $665 & $984 to fix the controller arms. Wish I could give him more stars than just 5.Who knew, an honest mechanic.

Tried for 4 days for them to find a part for my car when I called on the 4 day the guy who answered the phone Jerry or his name started with a J told me that he didn t even start looking for the part because he is too busy I will be taking my business elsewhere I ve never had such bad service in my life
