I strongly advise anyone to avoid this location at all costs unless you want to fall victim to their dishonest tactics. It is clear that they are trying to scam innocent people out of their hard-earned money. They tried to trick me by showing me a false reading and convincing me that my battery was dead, when in reality it was perfectly fine. It's alarming to think of how many people they've successfully scammed with this tactic. Luckily, I was able to catch on and go to a trusted auto shop instead. I have reported them to corporate and I hope that they are held accountable for their actions. Don't be a victim of their scams and avoid this location at all costs.

Don t do it! Fall victim of this unprofessional shop! It s true you get what you pay for, brought my Sprinter Van in for a simple oil change, they over tightened my oil filter and cracked my housing. They refused to take responsibility for it, in yet they were the last to touch it! I only blame my self for taking it here, tried to cheap out save a few dollars ended up costing me over 800 to fix it. When I brought it up to the Manager he told me they couldn t be held accountable. What a joke save yourself time and money and go to a reputable place you ll thank yourself in the long run

Employees are always nice and informative. If you can't perform your oil changes at home this place can get them done pretty quickly. It does get busy in the afternoon after 3:30pm. If you can make it before you are looking at quicker oil change service.

During my last oil change, they tossed a piece that goes to my oil filter cap. This ended up causing a check-engine light and a whole host of other issues until I finally unscrewed the cap and found it missing months later.Edit: Updating my review due to the quick resolution of my issue from their corporate team. Not the best experience, but appreciate them making it right.

The wait was about forty minutes long, while we were waiting windshield wiper fluid was changed, mileage read, and tire pressure was checked. The atmosphere felt chaotic. Workers working and others standing around dumbfounded.They do a good job once you are above the pit. I give them 3 stars today, don't think I will use them again.

Had a Groupon coupon even bought a Toyota filter, plus the sales pitch: also they said wait for it..."You need another quart of oil" they put the wrong kind of oil in my car for a Toyota 3rd Generation it shouldn't be synthetic it burns way too hot and leaks so much! It cost me the exact same price $125? discounts are non-existent here Boo.:( Buyer plz beware but the Employees are very nice. Save your money go to a transparent place.

Stay away from this place! They left my oil filter loose and made a mess of overspill on my driveway. I went back and they tightened it up and gave me a coupon for a free oil change. I gave them a second chance and this time the tech forgot to put the oil fill cap back on and my guy at Toyota pointed it out to me! HB Valvoline is full of incompetence. You are putting your ride in danger by doing business with them.

I want to start by saying I ve gone here for years, at least since 2008, with multiple cars. I never had any problems and it was a pretty consistently quick/painless process. Recently, I had noticed there was a dip in the service, and I had a big problem-but it seems like they ve made some changes and it feels like the same place I ve been going to forever again.About the problem- long story short:There was an issue from an oil change I received a few months back surrounding how the skid plate was reattached, causing it to fall partially off the bottom of my car. I went back, they fixed it- then it fell off again.Oil change time came up again, so I went to another Valvoline, and they let me know that my skid plate was damaged, and it only had two screws holding it up. They zip tied the plate on as a quick fix and told me to go to the first Valvoline (the location I m reviewing) and let them know it was damaged. I drove over to Edinger and they were apologetic and said they would order it and give me a call in a few days. Sounds good, mistakes happen, I get it. I waited a month for a call that never came, so I called back.This next part is why they get 5 stars At this point the DM Ronnie jumped in right away (he s an HB local) and was totally blown away that it had been a month since the most recent interaction regarding the issue. Ronnie made it a point to let me know he s focused on taking care of us local folks (which is honestly always a little refreshing) and was going to make sure everything got done perfectly. He met me at the location personally at 7am on a Saturday and put two gentlemen, John and Anton on the case . Within a week of the new crew stepping in, I had a new skid plate from the Honda dealer securely and properly attached to the bottom of my car by Anton. John did an amazing job giving me updates to keep me in the loop which was nice. They all really went above and beyond to make sure it was taken care of and that my car had a new skid plate attached correctly. I genuinely felt like they cared about me as a customer. As their customer.It s because of how Ronnie, Anton, and especially John handled everything that I m leaving this 5 star. They took a super negative situation and turned it 180 degrees so that I feel comfortable trusting my vehicle with this location again because of how they did the right thing. I ll keep going back and definitely recommend them to others in the future (Please note: I say all this knowing full well that John is a Cowboys fan, and that I am an Eagles fan. My usual oil change spot was closed at this time in the day and this Valvoline oil change spot was open. I am very fortunate it was because it's even closer to my usual roots and I don't know if it was just because I was the only one in there at that time, but the whole gang mobbed up on my truck and got it done really fast. Fast. They were using some type of code words and really fast and really professionally. They got my oil change and tire rotation done. They were not pushy and because it was my first time there, they asked me the usual checkup questions. and the woman who was the face of the transaction was super nice. In fact it was cheaper than my old place

Super fast and thorough service. I am super picky about getting my vehicle serviced so I went back and checked that my oil filter was changed and all my fluids topped off and YES they were! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Offering several extra services but not pushy to sell them. Respected my time and the extra mile smile was when a younger gentleman offered my granddaughters a lollipop! Great job Noel and crew! I highly recommend this location on Edinger! I have been here several times and I haven t had an issue with my car being serviced or any CS issues. GREAT JOB!

Unprofessional inexperienced lube technicians. They drained the oil and did not fill the engine up with oil. I drove the vehicle home and noticed smoke. Opened the oil cap, more smoke came out. Checked the oil and no oil on dipstick. Luckily I have caught it before driving further. After calling, the manager I talked to seemed inexperienced and did not want to take responsibility for not adding oil to the vehicle. In the future I will take my car to someone who knows what they are doing. Not abunch of young disrespectful kids.**EDIT**Drained the oil myself at home, this is all that came out. Looks like the oil filter was changed at least. But they left a huge mess, causing oil to hit the exhaust, which explains some of the smoke. Looks to me like the lube technician only drained the oil pan 3/4 of the way, then decided to reinstall the oil drain plug. This is not a proper oil change. There is no sign of fresh oil in my engine and they left oil all over the vehicle. There are small metal flakes in my oil, this is a sign of possible engine damage from lack of oil.Service: Oil change

They did the same thing to me as they did with Amanda Seif. They said that my battery was bad and needed to be replaced. Showed me the exact same thing they showed Amanda, it's probably a picture. I didn't take any photos, but I should have. I declined, and went to AutoZone, just like Amanda. They tested my battery and it was fine. They wanted to bilk me out of $354.00, for a battery. If they go this far, they probably use a used battery. You think you could trust a business, that has Valvoline as their calling card. Nope, don't fall for the scam. I don't know who the owner is, but you should be ashamed of yourself, ripping people off. Your a thief and should be brought up on charges. I'm going elsewhere.Service: Oil change

You get a shoe while you wait pruriently in your car while they do their thing. They hook you up with a beverage while you chill. It s the best service since the drive through!!

I was really hoping that the time that I came in yesterday, 2/22/2020, would be without problems. I would say that they're fast, about 30-40 minutes when there was one person in front me. It wasn't until the same day while driving home at midnight when the "check vsc" light came on (less than 15 miles).A quick google search and similar experiences with other people with "check vsc after oil change" STRONGLY indicates that whoever did the oil change must've messed up while also doing some checkups on the car.I called them this morning (10:54 AM) to see what they can do to help me out. I waited on the line until somebody picked up where I explained my situation. The person on the line said to come in and they'll check it. I CALLED THEM SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO COME IN IF THEY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO HELP ME!So it would be to my surprise that when I had to drive back and expecting some help, they turned me away to find another mechanic, "It's highly unlikely that we did something and we're unable to help". Are these guys not car mechanics? I will now have to spend time and money to go to a car mechanic to check up on the issue.Again, it's highly they messed up + they made me drive to their place only for them to turn me away. Strongly disappointed with incompetence and miscommunication.

First time visit. This place is extremely efficient. Thorough check of lights, blinkers, and fast oil change. I used a first time customer discount.While not cheap, service is very fast.Similar price as other auto service locations but lots faster.

Ive been going here for many years and the service quality has gone down. They cant be trusted. I went twice this year. First time they left a screw driver sitting on top of my engine. I let it slide thinking it was a small human error.Then i go back again and this time the guy didnt fill my oil up. It was barely above the low mark. But when he showed it to me it was full. He pulled that trick of letting the oil run to the full line and showing me. And the other rep, with slightly long blonde hair tried to sell me a new battery.I got a new battery less then a year ago. I checked it myself after and it was fine. He tried ripping me off. Dont go here. They re liars. Last time i do business with them.

I am blown away by the amazing service of the entire team! I hate bringing my car to do anything, they make it so easy and fast! All while giving a great experience and working like a team!! Jaelin took care of the service today and was outstanding! I feel like no matter which employee would have helped me, it would have gone just as great! Unprofessional attitude and conduct and this is not the first time. Same experience on my previous visit. Next time I ll go somewhere else for competent, professional service.The new staff is subpar for the cost of service. I just had an oil change and mentioned my headlight bulbs weren t properly working, since they check them, and apparently RJ never heard of it happening before so it must not be true. RJ didn t even talk to me about it; He loudly expressed it to the intake guy who I brought the issue to his attention. They began to close out my order when I mentioned it and the issue was still ignored by the employees.Service: Oil change

I drove up and they directed me into the middle bay, I popped the hood & picked my service. The this large fellow told me I had to move, he explained that the lady in the adjacent bay was ahead of me.I replied "you directed me INTO THIS BAY" he said well now I'm directing you out of this bay..I then drove to Jiffylube & got my oil changed.Long story short, very poorly managed this guy should not be running anything.I had been a customer for years, I was there customer to lose and they did.

lack of attention to detail!! At the end of my oil change I noticed the label sticker had the wrong mileage. It was 5k miles less than my actual. I asked if I could get a new invoice for my records with the actual milage at time of oil change. I was told I could not get accurate documentation bc the system will not allow them to go back in. In addition, I asked for a new label and the Topside manager came back with a handwritten oil change label. Not very professional. Accurate documentation is important and the tech could care less to figure out a solution for their mistake not mine.Service: Oil change
