This place is great! Not sure where to start. The employees fully knowledgeable on what they do, fully stocked on colors with samples you can match up. The taping off process was great. Didnt have to take any masking off, or tap any holes after paint. Great price for the labor that I am still trying to wrap my head around. If you want something to look great and last a long time take it to specialized coatings!Check out the new photos. Always posting more as I keep going back to this place. Amazing that 400 would make your bike completely different than someone elses. You can barley get a set of graphics and plastic for that price. I got my boys 2016 ktm65sx all dialed in now.

I've had a number of motorcycle parts and bike frames either blasted and coated or just stripped in prep for my own paint, and every time I have, it's been a quality job to say the least. I've had some rough encounters with similar businesses in the area, and am definitely happy I found Specialized Coatings, as I now have a trustworthy place to recommend more people to. I've brought in certain jobs for a quote, they've always been up front and honest with regards to my ideas, and if something doesn't seem to be cost effective for me, they've great at explaining why, and what they would recommend I do instead. Each finished project I've received back to date has been exactly what I've expected. As a former mechanic and fabricator myself, I know that sometimes seeing a job in person gives you a much easier idea of work that will be required to finish it, and it's the nature of work such as this that sometimes unforeseen issues will come up. They've always been good at communicating this info to me, which I definitely appreciate.

Hey Larry, sorry I did not have the time to write a full review in the moment, but I remember the morning clearly and will gladly share my experience. I was supposed to pick up parts that morning so I went in and stood in front of the counter for a second before Kelly saw me and said something along the lines of "one sec bud." He was on the phone so I waited for a minute to let him finish up what I thought was a business related call and get back to me. From what I heard the call was actually to a friend about his upcoming weekend RV trip with the guys where they would be hauling motorcycles. After this conversation went on for about 10 minutes he finally wraps it up and tells me to wait another minute while he taps on his cellphone. I figured this next call was just going be a quick business call so I sat down on an ugly white powder coated lawn chair to wait. The call started with "Hey dude how's it going" and I laughed. This call also turned out to be about some weekend motorcycle trip. I paced around the shop to make sure Kelly could see I still existed but after another 15 minutes I finally interrupted him to say I had limited time. He quietly sighed and told his friend he'd call him back as he went to go look for my parts. The most amusing bit is that after all of that my parts weren't even ready yet. 25 minutes of waiting plus the time it took to get there isn't really that much wasted time in the long run and usually I have more patience than that but Kelly and his comically meaningless conversations rubbed me the wrong way that day. The order wasn't under my name but I can give you the information over phone if you need proof. Thanks, sorry, and tell Kelly I hope he had a fun trip.

First off, this was my mistake for not getting a quote.A friend of mine who uses this company often, recommended them to powder coat a few engine parts. A new Edelbrock intake manifold, a set of clean, blasted, cast iron headers, and a box of small parts. The headers were ceramic coated, and the other parts plain black.I went to pick them up, and was shocked when I was presented a bill for almost 700.00 (780 total after tax and the 22.00 charge to use my credit card because I don't carry close to a grand around in my pocket.).I couldn't contest it cause I didn't ask. That said, it was (285 to coat the headers, 290 for the intake manifold, 100 for the small parts)This isn't my first experience with powder coating. I have had things coated before (2 4.5 x 8 ft gates cost me 300.00 a week ago in northern California.), so, before I said anything, I called 4 other shops (Denmac, And Primo powder coating along with 2 others). They quoted me 300 to do both intake and exhaust, which is what I had figured I initially. Bill should have been about 400+tax.I don't begrudge anyone their profit, or how they do business. It was completely my fault for not checking first. At the same thing me, I can't recommend them to anyone based on their pricing. Sorry guys, I can't see paying double for the same work all over town.No problem with the work, just don't want to pay sucker prices for it.I learned my lesson. Never again.

I spoke with Bob over the phone on 3/22/7 and got a quote of $120 to ceramic coat my turbo manifold, which is a small 4 cylinder log manifold. I explained in detail the manifold length and size along with how many runners it has and flange diameter. He said $120. I then drive today all the way over there and spoke with Kelly and he tells me it's $180. I told him I spoke with Bob over the phone and he quoted me less, so he says let me get him for you. Bob comes from the back and says let me help you over here. I showed him the manifold and he says "I thought you were talking about a turbo housing?" I told him over the phone it was a Manifold with four short runners. He then said there was a misunderstanding and that Kelly would help me out cause he knows better about pricing. Kelly was firm on the $180. So I passed and left. They obviously don't need my business. What I don't understand is how can Bob play dumb in front of me. And how do you get a turbine housing and an exhaust manifold confused. Lol. They probably don't do many manifolds. Bottom Line..They could have taken care of a customer, instead they didn't care I walked out the door. Very unprofessional. Don't bring your business there. They'll quote you low on the phone, once you get in the door they'll jack up the price!!

Place is the bomb. Been coming here for years and always leaving satisfied. Tried other local shops for coating recently because of various reasons, basically pricing, and ended up regretting every bit of it.
