I had an excellent lease experience with Thomas Esparza(Tom). Tom explained the features ofthe car, waited for us after we missed our appointment, and was nothing short of professional and accommodating towards our questions. I had my eye on a Subaru Impreza and Tom explained some of the add-ons and features towards my needs. Tom didn t try to force me into anything I didn t need but we ended up getting some extras anyways that we wanted after he explained them!When it came to negotiations, Tom was positive and transparent and didn t hide from our objections. In the end, we got what I felt was a great deal and a great car. We will be coming back for years to come to lease and buy from Tom.

I came in and bought the only remaining Forester Wilderness last night. I scheduled my appointment with Kat Soria, who made it seamless and easy; Tom Esparza was great explaining things to me and very witty as well, which made the process fun to go through. Marvin Cuadra really went all out for me and got me a deal I wouldn t have been able to get elsewhere! My car is beautiful and I love it. Thank you to everyone there!! You are all amazing!

I called ahead for my 90s Impreza and they said they could help so I brought it in. First they tried to charge me $500 to look at it. I said no so they offered to comp that and wash it for free.They did not inspect the car at all and when they washed it they lost a plastic piece that is near impossible to replace.

Buying my Crosstrek at McKenna Subaru was a surprisingly pleasant experience. Car dealerships are known for being a hassle but McKenna sells at MSRP AND doesn t add dealer options if you don t want them, which is simply fantastic.My wife and I went to quite a few dealerships for Subarus and different manufacturers and almost all of them added a few thousand in markups AND a few thousand in dealer-added extras that they had put on their cars. The end result was usually $5,000 or more over MSRP and a lot of haggling to try to reduce any of the markups.One other benefit from visiting McKenna is that since they sell at MSRP, they sell more cars and therefore are allotted more specialty models like the Wilderness and Onyx trims that are hard to find.

I went to Mckennae on 3/30/24 to buy out my lease. The sales man Tom tried to tell me that I had to certified my car for 2,900 or pay 1,500 fee for a inspection. If I didn't do nether I wouldn't be able to buy out my lease. Not only that he told me it was the law. So I left and went to Orange Coast Subaru in Santa Ana. They had no problem letting me buy out my lease. 10 stars for Orange Coast Subaru for not trying to charge customer extra fee's that aren't necessary.

If you are looking at getting a Subaru this is the place you want to go to!! I have never felt good or at ease when I have walked into a car dealerships in the past. I thought it was just always meant to be an awful experience. Not here!!! I was taken care of, considered, and feel like family already. I recently bought a new car and had a few very random issues within the first 10 days. I was pretty bummed out, but the team members at this dealer were extremely kind, patient and understanding. I can confidently say that their commitment to customer service is verified. They practice what they preach here. Specific thanks to Breanna, Marvin and Mr. McKenna himself for all your help, human kindness and understanding. My doggo was also treated like a celebrity here and he loves his chewbaru

This was the best car buying experience I've ever had and they aren't marking prices up like all of the other�dealerships are this year! Brandon was helpful, straight forward, efficient and kind through the process to get me the car I really wanted. It was enjoyable and I felt like it was an honest transaction plus it didn't take a long time. The other team involved in finance and the internet manager John handled everything professionally and really catered to my needs clearly to make sure I was heard and also went above and beyond what I expected. I just switched over to Subaru and I couldn't have made a better choice with this dealership. I visited six Subaru dealers to do my research and I was treated the most fair at McKenna also felt valued as a customer.

I bought my car from this dealer because the sales team was one of the few willing to offer a competitive deal while the rest of the dealerships were still gouging prices coming out of the supply shortage.The service department is where the problem is. I had a disappointing number of issues with my car from the beginning, so I was there a lot at first. Steven is a nice guy who does what he can. The shop foreman couldn't or wasn't willing to solve most of my car's issues and usually responded with an attitude of "I don't know how to fix this, so it's fine. Go away."The last time I left my car here for service, someone put a couple of big scratches in my fender. The shop confirmed this by comparing their intake video, and I was promised a fender replacement by service manager Andie Pandell. She said the part would take two weeks to come in. After a month I started calling to get an update. Andie dodged all of my many calls and didn t return any of my messages, clearly avoiding responsibility for the repair.I won t take my car here anymore, and don t recommend the service department.

Just got my Subie serviced here. My service advisor, Tom, was knowledgeable, friendly, and had the customer's best interests in mind. He even helped me with a coupon for my car service, which made my choice to choose McKenna Subaru over other nearby shops extra worth it. Thanks for going above and beyond!

Mr. Kyung Kevin Lee gave us the best car buying experience I ve ever had. We had no intention of purchasing a vehicle today and he didn t apply any pressure whatsoever. He worked with us to make sure we could get a deal we could afford. Mr. Mun the finance manager worked with us and was extremely patient. My girlfriend and I are the happy owner of a new 2023 ascent. If you buy a car from here ask for Mr. Lee!

This was the first dealership I visited in Orange County, and I think the experience could have been much better.I arrived a couple minutes early for an 11 AM appointment with Yesenia, who wasn t at her desk. She entered the dealership at the appointment time, talking on the phone. As we waited for her to finish, she jerked her head at us as if to ask what we wanted instead of getting off the phone to start our appointment.During the test drive, I was nervous since I had just moved to Orange County the day before and hadn t driven on these busy roads before. I didn t like how Yesenia encouraged me to squeeze past cars to turn right, since I was clearly uncomfortable with the idea and I had already told her I was brand new to the area.After the test drive, Yesenia took us inside to negotiate and managed to get us a decent discount on the vehicle. However, she was shocked when we said I wasn t ready to buy a car right this second. I don t understand why that came as a surprise since I was very clear about exploring my options as a first-time car buyer from the outset, and the discount was not significant enough for me to forget about prices at other dealerships.I do appreciate the discount Yesenia negotiated for us, since after visiting several other Subaru dealerships it was clear McKenna Subaru is more flexible on price than most others. The entire experience made me uncomfortable though, from Yesenia s demeanor to the pressure to buy a car immediately.I would ve preferred a more understanding and low-pressure attitude. It felt like I wasn t being met at my level, and I believe sales representatives should listen to how potential buyers are feeling and understand where they are coming from.

I would not ever go to McKenna Subaru again.I went there to buy out my lease after I initially leased in another state and had nothing but problems. Right off the bat, they were trying to sell me. Had I not gotten my dad involved, I would have paid an extra $6,000-7,500 more than I needed to with the random things they were explaining I d need . It took over 4 hours to buy out my lease. It didn t even take that long to get the lease initially.Next, I was told I needed to bring it in for inspection the following Monday. So I did. I was never told that I d HAVE to fix the things they find wrong . I got the text about the RECCOMENDATIONS and kindly texted that I would like to decline and I d be on my way to pick up the car since I could do all that at home. To my surprise, they wouldn t allow me to pick up my car saying they couldn t sell me an unsafe car and that I d need to pay the $1900 for repairs. (On things that aren t major and I could do at home for $300 tops). The car was already sold to me and already in my name. They sure weren t concerned about safety when they got a payday that Saturday upon my buyout. It took sending my dad up there 2 days later to get them to give me my car back. April was decently nice he said but at one point she said they could just void the deal if I wanted to. The deal was already done. I own the car, it s mine and that s why we were fighting for my car to be returned to me. As the owner, I have the right to decide what they do and don t do to my car.Upon my arrival to pick up my car, and returning the rental, from the moment I walked in they were all beyond rude. I understand they were frustrated that I would not do repairs there but that gave them no right to treat me like that. But then it got worse there was scratches on the front bumper of the rental. I was subsequently treated as if I had crashed the car and not told them and Nicole Perry in the service area was beyond rude to me, going as far as taking MY keys from me and talking to me beyond rude accusing me of causing damage to the car. I thought that Andi, the woman who gave me the car, had taken pictures prior to getting the rental, so I asked her to pull up the pictures so we could prove it wasn t me. She informed me that she did not take any pictures (even though April, the manager said they re supposed to) and usually they do a walk around with them and the person renting. That never happened. So, I asked her if she had done a walk around herself to which she responded, no she hadn t. She said she could pull the footage and I said please do. I know I didn t cause this damage and if I had, I d have enough of a conscience to let them know and get my insurance involved. She pulled the footage looked at it for a few seconds and quickly claimed she couldn t tell so they would let me go. Obviously I should have taken my own photos prior to leaving and will do that anytime i rent anything, going forward. But for a company who is so customer focused , I didn t expect this to happen.In conclusion, the way I was treated at McKenna, from being treated like $$$ when i went to buy out my lease, to being jipped out of $1000 on an inspection that could take them 2 hours, to being treated like a criminal who had a hit and run is disgusting. Nicole was beyond rude and I hope she never treats a customer in that manner again and never accuses them of something with zero proof that they did it. I have texted the owner twice now, as he claims relationships with customers are most important. I d love the chance to speak directly with him about the way his team behaves but I ve gotten no response. I will never return to McKenna and will take my business elsewhere from this point forward and I d encourage you to do the same. All I had was headache after headache and them trying to cheat their way to more money time after time. The only one good thing I d say is that Danny in finance was kind, and really tried to help me out with things when it came to getting an extended warranty.

Took my car in to confirm why my car was making knocking noises while it turned. They charged me upfront $240. With no estimate on what repair would be if it was the CV axle like I suspected. It took them almost the entire day to call me back and with that they estimated $500+ for brake pad replacements and over $1k to do an axel but said I should do them all. I don t even think they looked at the axel in question. Safe to say I just took my car and left with $240 down the drain and leaving with basically the same information I came in with.I was then recommended to go to Ocean Subaru in Fullerton. I was a little weary but went anyway just to see how much the brakes would be.I m glad I did. It was no money down for inspection, $300 for the brakes, and they did it within a few hours. I will be going back to Ocean for the front axles.

Josh & Jerry from the Service / Mechanical side are awesome! Big shout to Steve Ruzek my Service Advisor for All the help they did Fixing my Tranny under warranty.I just bought my WRX within 40 days from a nearby major dealer, and was very nervous I ran into a Tranmission issue-The Team, Shop Foreman Josh, Tech Jerry, and Service Advisor Stephen Ruzek All went above & beyond with the rental car, keeping me updated, and zero cost!Because of this Professional Customer Service experience here at Subaru HB McKenna, my Wife bought a CPO Forester.Review is overdue but well earned

Tom went above and beyond to help me get the perfect car. I was stationed on the east coast when I started the process and during that time Tom helped me reserve the exact car I wanted while in transit. Less than a week of being in CA and two weeks after beginning the process, my car arrived and I picked it up the next day. The buying process only took a few hours, no markups, NO hassle. The communication and organization of this transaction was top notch.I drove nearly 800 miles to my next duty station and the car was everything I expected it to be and more.Fantastic customer service through and through.Thank you Tom and McKenna subaru!

This review is for service since I bought my Subaru in Santa Monica. It s also for Brayan Tobar, the most wonderful service advisor. I m genuinely so appreciative of the service I most recently received at McKenna in September and October 2022. My engine was leaking some oil and my warranty had just expired less than a month prior. The cost to fix it was going to be astronomical given the value of my car. McKenna was able to provide an adjusted quote that worked with Subaru of America (corporate) so that I personally did not have to pay anything out of pocket. Corporate s goodwill gesture was more than I could have hoped for and has definitely showed me they stand behind their cars and I will continue to too, beyond the several people I ve already talked into buying the Crosstrek. I m also beyond thankful that Brayan was working the day I took my vehicle in for its routine maintenance. He stepped in and advocated for me and my vehicle from the start. The repairs were a lengthy process, but it did not cost me anything financially and I was given a rental car to drive the entire time. My car has been back on the road and running great for two months now. Thanks Brayan for your fantastic customer service - I wish there were more like you out there in the auto industry. The overall experience at McKenna was an absolute positive one. Everyone at the dealership is very friendly and humble.
