Matt ask questions and listens to the customer. He was able to pin point our recurring limp mode issue based on his knowledge of VW tdi motors and our conversation regarding the history of repairs and symptoms.The two previous shops billed us hundreds of dollars for unneeded parts and shoddy work.We replaced a badly damaged and poorly repaired, (by prev. mechanic) wiring subharness.Car is running great and I highly recommend this shop. 2011 Jetta tdi.

Found this shop after cross-referencing Reddit, Yelp, and Google. I was looking for a solid, independent garage for my Audi A5 s 20k service after getting quoted $700+ at the dealership. Called a few times to ask about oil changes and the 20k service and was able to talk to both Matt and Mike. I felt they were honest people with reasonable and transparent pricing so ended up scheduling with them a few days later.Matt was the one who ended up working on my car and it took 3-4 hours or maybe shorter. I decided to wait there and work on my laptop on one of the two small couches they have in the front but I think most decided to drop off and come back later to pick up. My final cost was around $200, which I thought was very reasonable. Matt was very personable and knowledgeable and I believe he did good work. It s always difficult to find a reliable and honest shop for the first time but I think this place is a great one if you have an Audi or VW. It s a bit of a drive for me but I ll still be coming back for future services!

I have taken my MK4 R32 and MK7.5 Golf R here several times for many services. The guys at the shop get the job done quickly and correctly and maintain a very good level of communication. The prices are fair and the results are always as desired. A family friend recommended I bring my car here and I am so glad I did. They are amazing!!! After a bad experience with the dealership, they were able to fix my Jetta. If I could give 10 stars, I would. :)

Best spot!. Matt is awsome dude i have known matt over the years and i can personally say he treats his customers like family. This spot is a place that does quality work for Affordable price. For those who are looking for performance ugrade or service I would highly recommend speaking to Matt.he is a Down to earth guy will not sell you something you don't need like other places instead he keeps you well informed. Three things i look for 1.Awsome people, 2. Quality work ,and 3.Affordable .

I've been knowing Matt for about 4 yrs now. All I can think of is positive things about this hard working man! He is one of the most honest mechanics out there! Will never sugar coat the situation, all straight to the point. He is there to help you and give you the best customer service one can give. Matt has helped me with my build. From tunes to coding to performance parts to oem parts! Do not hesitate coming to his shop. Him and his team do great professional work! Better than the dam dealer. Consistently one of the best auto shops around. Mechanics pay attention to the little details, checking belts, tire wear, fluids, etc and warn early of needed preventative maintenance items. They really know VWs, the quirks and such, diagnose well, and do a good job in repairs. Not one of those rush in and out shops that only do what you tell them - those don't check your car - so call, drop off the car, enjoy an afternoon away while the work gets done. No, not local Vietnamese in Little Bolsa cheap, but for the level of service, expertise, and clean, neat waiting area with comfy seats, highly recommended for anyone with a VW. Both friends with Bugs have theirs serviced here, always a good experience.

Matt is awesome! I brought my Audi, a car that he specializes in, and he knew what was up with it and was very knowledgeable in giving me advice on how to maintain it. It was to the point where I even brought my Mercedes to him because he uses top tier German tier German products. I trust this shop and the staff, they re cool people and easy to talk to and have a laugh with. Very reasonable as well.

I recently moved here from Georgia and the same mechanic has worked on my VW for the last 7 years. I have a 2002 DIESEL VW BUG. I have found a new mechanic in Matt. He is professional, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable.

Today was my first visit, I found out about this place from the MKSIX fb page, its too bad i didn't know about this place sooner! VW specialized, And the fact they do LIQUI MOLY is really great driving uber/lyft full time i need an oil change almost twice a month. Will be coming here from now on! (2017 Jetta 1.4t)

Matt and his team go above and beyond. I've been coming here for years and couldn't complain once! I have revised my review. I did not have the electrical knowledge to accept the fix of my brake lights staying on. I purchased the 2014 vw beetle with the conditioned mentioned. The electrical testing was labor intensive. When the brake light switch replacement was not the fix the search eventually lead to the fuse box. A fuse was in the wrong location. Matt was honest and showed me the fix. I do believe looking in the fuse box for the fix was not at the top of the list. The last visit he did an ARP stage one tune. Big difference in performance and lot more fun to drive.

Well I think I've found my new go to for car service. Sent a request for a quote at 11:30ish and within 15 minutes got a call with a price and told me to come on in.When I arrived I noticed they had different tiers of oil changes and decided to go with the platinum oil change as I'm getting up there in mileage. Car is running so much better the kind of rough idle I had is now gone it is quieter and just drives better all around. Even took care of a bulb that was out I was having trouble finding.Definitely gonna be coming back soon for a more thorough servicing.Price was extremely fair for what I got.

Matt has been working on my cars for many years, ever since my factory warranty expired.I honestly have a problem changing the vehicle maker because I don't want to look for another mechanic. He is an excellent mechanic who used to work at the dealership service before opening his own shop, thus you know you are taking your vehicle to a VW and Audi specialist. His services are very reasonably priced and he will get things done much faster than dealership. He is also an honest person. I had cases when I wanted to replace certain parts and Matt would tell me that it is not necessary to do so, or would tell me to check if this is still covered by the warranty. He remained humble and honest all these years even though his business has grown quite a bit. It is not easy to find a 5 star rated car shop nowadays! His service location is great with plenty of parking space and a nice brewery located 500 ft away away in case you are waiting for your cars oil change or a minor repair. I feel blessed to have such a repair shop available to me.

Great shop for your Audi or VW. I went for a APR tune and is more than happy with the results. Matt is very knowledgeable tuning guru. I highly recommend this place.

This is the best mechanic I have ever gone to, and I have dealt with my fair share of car troubles. I have a 2014 VW Jetta that had a fried ECM and wouldn't start. The dealership wanted nearly two grand between a new part and labor, and claiming there may be additional repairs needed for additional costs. I thought it was a lost cause and I would have to scrap the car, but in a last ditch effort I purchased a used ECM for $50 and brought it and my car to Matt to see if he could program and install it. I had my car back within two days running better than before. They were reasonably priced for the high level of quality, care, and expertise I received. Both Matt and Mike were extremely communicative and kept me updated, they were honest and friendly.Exceptional service and superior work! I will only ever be bringing my car to them from now on. Excellent shop, great alternative and a must "go to place" if your vehicle is out of warranty repair period. Completely disengaged from self-serving politics and pricing of Audi @ VW dealers and most other non-franchised car repair shops.Knowledgeable, super professional and inexpensive Audi and Volkswagen specialty auto repair shops. Was worth an hour drive from LA for me. Don't hesitate, Matt is a genius and great guy.

Best & most trustworthy VW car service in Orange County. If you have any VW/Audi 2.0T engine, these are your guys. Mine is a 2012 VW Tiguan 2.0T, sitting at 150k miles and runs like a charm.They know all the common and not so common issue, run proper diagnostic, explain well what s going on, are transparent about your pricing, and let you take the decision.Timing chain, turbo, carbon build up, oil leaks? They ve got you covered.Honestly, go check them out for any VW/Audi maintenance and repair.

Matt is the best mechanic ever!! Friendly, honest, and reasonable with pricing. He became my mechanic last year after a shady mechanic elsewhere told me I needed to replace my timing belt @ $1,000+ dollars. My neighbor suggested VW Car Care Plus for a second opinion and Matt told me he would bet his life s savings that my 2009 Jetta did NOT EVEN HAVE a timing belt! So thankful an honest guy like Matt and his business exist. They restore my faith in the car repair industry. I have taken my car back for service ever since and have always been happy with the work and customer service.

This was my first visit and overall impressions were fantastic. The waiting area was very clean and comfortable. The techs were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend anyone who owns a VW/audi to bring their vehicle and confidently expect expert service. These guys are great.Thanks Mike and all the other techs for the great service.

VW and Audi shop great for everything from standard maintenance to tuning your car. Mike at the front is excellent and really makes you feel welcome. While Matt in the shop is truly a master. He turned my basic Gti into a street legal race car. Ill be coming back for future tunes and maintenance.

Really great experience! I took my car to another shop and they couldn t figure out what was wrong. They said the next step was to pay $400 to check the wiring. Brought it to Matt and he was able to figure it out right away and figured out that it was a $29 coil. He also fixed a bunch of bulbs that were out and cleaned my a/c and the engine casing. The total for everything was $118. Super knowledgeable, fast, friendly, and most of all honest. They have a customer for life :)

Matt and his team are the best at what they do. I have been to 4 seasons tuning, multiple VW Dealerships, and a fair few other specialists.He or Mike always answer the telephone and you are always greeted professionally. They get straight to the point and book you in. Does not matter if you re car is stock or modified to your taste, Matt and his staff know what they are doing. They run everything by you and offer advice. No monkey business at all and the prices are extremely fair.it s hard to find mechanic who is a perfectionist and works on your car like it were his.A prime example of this is when I came by for the first time back in 2016 and I simply needed a pollen filter and oil change but my rear sway bar was clanking and my door was squeaking. Matt didn t even think twice. He took care of both and was more than happy to see a satisfied customer that became a customer for life. A year later I was back complaining about a new noise that at the time we could not figure out after a test drive as it would not replicate the noise (as it always goes) but Matt said to email him with a recording of the noise and then asked for a video. I took it back in and he solved the issue.I can safely say i ve been to Matt s 7 or more times and he always takes care of my 2010 MKVI 2.5L Golf.He s taken care of my UM SRI Manifold, Suspension (Bilsteins & HR springs) , Brakes, MAP sensors, Rotors, Sway bar (neuspeed), Headlights (ECU settings), Exhaust (Techtonics), etc.I m sure there s more...I assure you that you will not be disappointed. My family, who now own, VWs made the switch to Matt right after I did and they are extremely happy too.Like I said, it does not matter if your car is the same as it was when you bought it or it s APR tuned with all the fun toys that can be bolted on...
