Can t say enough good things about JP s European. I was a bit nervous about leaving my E type jaguar with a shop that I had not used in the past. I am in San Diego, and JP s is located in Huntington Beach. I had to have my car towed to the shop and trust that they would take good care of it and also had the knowledge to work on a 1961 Jaguar.Every step of the way they communicated what they were doing with the car, and I let them know what my expectations were. There were a few questions regarding getting the proper fly wheel, clutch, and starter motor. JP personally called the shop, where I ordered the parts, to make sure that everything was correct. They got the work done quickly, but more importantly, the car drove and shifted like it should.I have owned my E-type for 42 years and it has never run this well. I greatly appreciate their efforts, and would highly recommend them to anyone needing work done to their early or late model Jaguar.

JP's expertise turned our Jaguar from "about to be sold as salvage" to a smooth running beautiful automobile! He found the solution that had eluded several other mechanics, including a major Jaguar dealer's service department. PLUS, JP advised us that the cause of the multiple problems was probably covered by our insurance, and it was! The repairs were done rapidly and at reasonable cost. The quality of work at JP's is evidenced by the immaculate, well equipped shop and professional demeanor of JP and his crew. They have been in business for more than 30 years. You are in good hands at JP's European!

Team JP takes EXCELLENT care of my 21 year old, higher mileage Jaguar XK8 . Both JP and Mark know the car is a daily driver with frequent California Coast road trips. When I take the car in for service, they are thorough in their assessment and timely and fair in the repair process. JP is the best! If not for his thorough and caring attention to the details and relentless search for Genuine parts on my 2002 Super V8 Jaguar, it would not have been running like new! Thanks to JP for going the extra mile to take care of my baby! JP has been taking care of my Land Rover LR4 for years providing the maintenance and repairs. They always do a great work and take the time to explain their recommendations and your options. It s also a fun place to drop off your car to see what cool cars they are working on that day. This shop is a must use for anyone with a Land Rover, Jag or other European car. I highly recommend it.

I ve been a happy client of JPs since 2001, yep that long. The first time I used him he performed an age assessment on a Jag Xk-8 to determine from my perspective whether I should buy it. He didn t own it so I didn t worry about anything more than honesty on its condition. Here we are 23 years later. I own a different Xk-8 but he s been keeping it in fine shape for the last 6 years or so. A good mechanic? Yes. Can he diagnose a problem and repair it? Yes and he lets me know if and when something else might need to be looked at again. He s a no surprises kind of guy. I wouldn t go anywhere else. Oh by the way both of these cars have had more than 160 thousand miles on them.Trust him!!

J.P's European is the perfect place to have your Jaguar maintained! J.P and Marc are very professional, kind, and courteous, and they don't upsell on unneeded services.Furthermore, the turnaround time is so quick I am beyond impressed! Will definitely be back in the future.

Great service, love Marc! Took my Boxster in for its first oil change (for me) and everything went smoothly. Great communication by Marc throughout the day, ran some other diagnostic checks, didn t find any issues, referred me to other specialty shops for future minor fixes (headlights, convertible top). Parking in the whole center is difficult so make your appointment for first thing in the morning.

If you own a Jag in SoCal, there is NO other place I d recommend. They are EXPERTS at keeping your unique, gorgeous investment in top condition and are very fairly priced. My XK8 convertible is 20 years old and runs like new thanks to JP and Mark. I travel 106 miles to JP European for service on my Jaguar S-type passing multiple other shops on the way. That alone should let you know they are the place to get repairs done on your Jaguar. You also see other vehicles being worked on such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley, BMW, Mercedes Benz and much more. I also work on my own car and everything I see that they have done is always very clean and done right! Only high quality parts are used here with a skilled hand and mind. You will fine no corners cut here with the staff being very knowledgeable and honest. Even if I was getting an old simple classic truck worked on, I'd still travel the distance to get quality honest work done here. I own a beautiful 20+ year old Jaguar. Found JP's European Auto and reached out. Immediately knew I was working with the experts. Made an appointment and the whole experience was smooth and seamless. When picking up my vehicle, they reviewed the work completed, shared future maintenance that is recommended (car is aging, and this is helpful to plan for) but not needed at this point. Brought my car here a couple of times, twice for an oil change and also to replace my windshield wipers. Seemed like nice, knowledgeable people. I was just so happy to find a jaguar mechanic so close to home. I was sure i found the right place, especially with all their great reviews. A couple weeks ago one of my brake lights went out and i was getting a brake light failure on the display screen. I called Marc and made an appointment to bring it in. At the time i wasn t too concerned and thought all i needed were replacement bulbs, a routine fix i ve had before with this car as well as with my previous jaguar. I brought my car in on a Tuesday and after waiting a bit was told the problem wasn t my brake light bulbs at all. I was told it was the module that had gone bad. I was told that Jaguar no longer made this module because my car was too old, (2008 xk) and that these modules are married to the cars so they would need to keep the car a week, remove the module and then send it out to FLORIDA to be repaired, then they could reinstall it i was also told it would cost $1,330 for the repair. Ok. I then asked if they partnered with or could refer me to a car rental agency so i could rent a car while mine was down and was told they couldn t. By now it was Friday afternoon, Marc asked me to give him a few more days so he could look into other options for me. I said ok & thank you. I ve yet to hear back from him. This week i called my previous jaguar shop, although they re not exactly close by, they ve always done great work on my cars and they re honest. I wanted to get a second diagnosis and i m glad i did. Turns out all my car needed were 3 bulbs and the connections needed to be cleaned. It was a $15 fix. Needless to say i will NEVER take my car back to JP s European Auto.

When you arrive and see the cars parked in the lot and around the street you know you are in the right place. JP knows his Jags, of all eras it seems, and does an excellent job of diagnosing the issues and clearly communicating the most cost effective solution. He has become my go to for servicing our Jags despite the half hour trip to get there. JP and Mark both provided very professional service, repairing the work from another shop s poor workmanship. Replacing the fuel pump, sending unit and harnesses. I trust this shop, they are honest, call and show you the problem and install all original equipment, unlike the my prior auto repair shop. They re busy for a reason, but worth the wait.Services: Electrical repair, Auto battery maintenance

JP is a very honest and fair mechanic. Mark is great there too. I met him on my 2004 XJR 12 years ago and always told me the car needs minimal service and it always ran like a top. I've had many Jags and a couple Range Rovers that he will be worked on. His pricing is fair compared to what the dealers charge and he will not recommend you do many of the services they recommend! He knows us car guys love our cars and he wants to keep them on the road

Live saver.. I have a 1990 land Rover classic that I got in a trade from OC ROVERS... They told me the motor was rebuilt and it turned out to be a lie.. I hunted through the internet for info and parts. Not much to be found. .. Until I found JP' European. He knows these 4wd's. Personally...inside and out. And had parts that were obsolete and difficult to find ..and his prices on the parts I got were better then Amazon and work he did was fast and eze to work with..

Found this place after calling around, spoke with Marc he set up a date for me to bring my rover in. Marc called me right away after doing a thorough diagnostic, very professional and knowledgeable shop no bs here. My car was in and out and runs great now. Professionalism and service was met here and I will be recommending them in the future to friends and family.

I was at JP's a few weeks ago for a pre-purchase inspection of a 2009 Jaguar XKR I was considering. Mark and JP are really nice guys and told me I needed new tires + lower control arm bushings and nothing else. As you see on these reviews, they have a top reputation so I took them on their word.Back in West LA, when I was having another shop do the recommended repairs, we saw that the rear sway bars, the rear tie rod ends, the front upper control arms were all leaking, and the rotors were glazed and lipped on both the front and rear. I've since sorted it all but it amounted to $3k+ in additional repairs that they really should have flagged during the inspection.And these are pretty obvious visual items if they had taken the pre-purchase inspection seriously. Hope you do better for the next customer guys.

Have utilized JP's European for over 20 years. They've worked on my Range Rovers and BMW 745Li. JP has always been the greatest and is slowly releasing the mechanical duties to another knowledgeable and helpful auto technician, Mark.
